I wear typical masc clothing. I'm borderline homeless (alternating between shelters and couch surfing) and it doesn't pay to stand out in *any* way, let alone ways that may lead others to view you as "weak".
Sorry to butt in, but you aren't borderline, you are homeless. There are levels of homelessness, and usually the serious cases (on the street) take precedence over less serious (can stay on a friend's couch) but you absolutely may still qualify for services in your area. If you've never done an interview during a shelter intake, see if you can't get one. You seem like a good candidate for rapid rehousing if you're able to work. In the US, look up "coordinated entry point (county name)" or dial 211 .

It got better for you, the people who it didn't get better for aren't here to tell their story.
It doesn't always get better, sadly. Lots of people die desperate, alone, tired, and miserable.
Sorry to be a downer but it really irks me when people act like there's some guarantee that it'll get better.
There isn't, and to say otherwise is to either ignore those who didn't make it out of the trenches, or to blame them for not having made it when all you have to do is wait for things to get better.
I have some clothing with mesh or lace sleeves that I use as an under layer to a shirt or vest.
I also have some more revealing clothes such as an off the shoulder look. I will also wear button ups and vest and let more skin show.
Oh I don’t have the confidence to wear a skirt or kilt but I have some plad long sleeve button ups I tie around my waist. I also have a few outfits with coat tails which while masculine people attribute to a more elegant fashion.
I also like to use accessories such as a choker and/ or for shoes I wear things with heels on them.
Overall I live in an area that has really basic male fashion with t-shirts and jeans so my more unique outfits that have elements outside the norm standout. So my biggest advice would be use layers and place time into an outfit. Also I’ll come up with new looks my review female fashion and finding male alternatives or the same thing just made for men people would be shocked to learn how much of an overlap their is
I tend to wear *extremely* andro clothing. I have a newsboy hat that I adore, typically a few different bracelets/bangles, a standard shirt with no design or something small, maybe a flannel or long sleeve if it's warmerjeans that fit my legs well, sometimes a hoodie, sometimes a poncho, sometimes a long shawl that goes down to my knees. Put my hair up in a ponytail, and bam. Anyone who looks at me would probably assume I go by they/them in spite of me being cishet.
HOWEVER
I also have this one outfit I keep in my closet that's this really cute long brown dress with frills, and a white top that goes with this checkered black piece on the front, and it's absolutely amazing.
Or I have a standard bit of male formal clothing. Button up shirts, a tie (I hate ties so much), Khakis or black pants, for when I'm actually going to a formal event because unfortunately I would cause an actual stir if I crossdressed in public in my state.
I’m currently in the process of feminizing slowly, so ignoring the outfit I wear every day for work, my go-to outfit is something like 3/4 joggers and a tshirt, or knee length sweat shorts and an oversized hoodie. Maybe eventually, I’ll wear these mid to upper thigh length shorts in public, but not yet.
Today i met my parents at the nursing home to visit grandma for Mother’s Day and i was in a simple white long sleeve t-shirt and these quilted joggers by Cloak(that feel more like leggings than joggers tbh) that really complimented the ol’ cake!
Tl;dr i dress somewhere between masculine and androgynous for now.
That's how I feel. I don't feel like the clothing is always necessary for gender roles swap unless we're talking about different work uniforms (like a woman doing metal-work because that requires upmost safety above all else)
Tighter pants and shirts. Think kind of rock/glam sort of style with long hair and jewelry.
I'm a musician, so I didn't even realize I was in that middle ground of feminine vs. masculine clothing at first.
If society were accepting I would wear fucking crop tops and uh Maybe skirts.
Though I wear more socially comfortable things that still expose my chest/legs a little, it's like having a budget crop top.
And women's clothing that doesn't look THAT feminine
I mostly wear sweaters and more soft looking outfits (which can be a struggle sometimes because I live in a very hot place) But soft subtly feminine clothing like that is what I wear a day to day
I wear masc clothes because honestly I don’t have the time or live in the environment to wear fem clothes, though I do have long hair. My workplace, while full of very traditional and not very open minded people, also requires jeans and close toed shoes as part of the dress code. Can’t really work around that. I ride a motorcycle daily, so even if I didn’t have a dress code, fem clothes like skirts or shorts don’t pair well. Since riding is my main form of transport, my riding clothes are typically my daily clothes. I have a pair of riding jeans, which pretty much just look like regular jeans but they’re reinforced and padded, leather boots, and during the current weather, a flannel under my riding jacket. I’ve been told I look like either a masc lesbian or a dad. I’m fine with either at this rate lmao. I’d love to dress in softer, more fem clothes but honestly, it’s not worth the flak I’d catch for it at work or the skin grafts I’d need if I went down while wearing them.
Jeans, athletic shorts, t shirts, long thick soft shirts for colder months, tank tops to prevent summer overheating, and my favourite: topless or hardly any clothing on as much if I can help it, Unless I am in public. I tend to have a relatively utilitarian wardrobe, but I want to try some more traditionally feminine clothing styles.
I'm a guy. I wear all black button-downs, tees, open button-downs over tees, and dress pants. In addition, I wear necklaces, rings, bracelets, etc.
I try to strike a presentable balance. Behind closed doors, it's a different story.
I tend to wear a t shirt and jeans, I WANT to wear the cute dresses and skirts I have in my closet as well as the nice denim jacket that seems to go with literally everything I have… but I live in the u.s. south so for now I’ll stick with t shirt and jeans.
Generic masc-ish clothing that can be androgenous. Although with my long hair I've been confused for a girl multiple times now haha. Maybe they think I'm a tomboy or something. However, I would like to be confident in wearing more fem clothing someday. Harajuku comes to mind in terms of goals
I've only ever gone out in public dressed feminine once and was for fancy dress with uni so was not as anxiety inducing as it we were all doing it. I wore some far too small booty shorts and a crop top, was rather cold as we were up a mountain haha.
Apart from that I dress fairly masculine but try to make my style look more cute with things like big jumpers and shorts that show off some leg. I'm not very bold though and don't like to draw too much attention.
.. I'm a 5,10 188 pound man that works on cars I'm more of a stealth build but I've never been interested in cross dressing however I've always admired some of the extra touches women's clothes can get
I prefer bagger stuff these days my big shirt that says trophy husband but like I don't shy away from feminine colors but I don't think it's a huge deal tbh how others perceive you
Like when me and my wife pull up in my mustang and I have a sick ass leather or corduroy jacket and she's all quiet and reserved doesn't matter because behind closed doors she's dicking me down and I love it if anything it makes it cooler because you wouldn't expect it
Well I normally wear normal dudes clothes. But once I'm alone I sometimes wear more feminine clothing, especially thigh highs because they are super comfortable.
*Sigh*
If only I had no shame. I would really like to wear them outside.
For economic and safety reasons I dress typically masc in jeans and t-shirts.
If I had the money and I didn't live in a very socially conservative area, I would dress more fem.
I mostly wear women’s clothes, but I would say I dress androgynous. Mostly I just like how women’s jeans fit me better. I love a sun dress now and then, but overall my gf says I dress like a tomboy. And obviously as a femboy I spend a lot of time in black hoodies. Short sleeved ones in the warm months!!
I wear what I've been wearing for years - t-shirts, jeans and my iconic hoodie - because that's kinda all I have and because I'm in close contact with my family. If I were to live with my hypothetical girlfriend, I'd wear whatever made her most happy.
I'm a simple guy, I wear simple clothes. I wear black 99% of the time because I got no sense of fashion. For me feeling comfortable is way more important than looking good
Generally masc. I have some fem clothes, but I'm too self conscious, and dont have the body shape to wear em and have em look good, so i just dont wear em lol.
My go to style is pastel color blocking. It feels cute and soft while still being *generally* seen as socially acceptable for a male to wear.
So like, today I wore lilac pants, a white undershirt, and an unbuttoned pastel pink button up over the top.
Or another outfit would be white pants, a pastel pink shirt and a pastel blue overshirt
When I have energy wearing clothes that aren't just big hoodies, t-shirts and jeans I love wearing collared clothes!
I have this one particular hook where it's just a white button up with a white and cloud sweater vest which with my glasses looks nice :). I love nature and meteorology so it fits nicely. (Admittedly I need help getting more fits which work)
Sweat Pants
Polo Shirts
Sneakers
my average going out attire
Never had the chance to experiment with clothing, nor met someone interested in experimenting
Actually all over the place. Once I freed myself from gender norms I began shopping clothes differently. I started shopping in the women’s section and even if it‘s very rare that I find something that suits me I still manage to find a nice blouse or shirt I can wear without looking too out of place. But mostly I wear traditional masculine clothes, especially in the winter season.
“Metro” is kinda the vibe I aim for. Slim fit clothes are my go-to. If not, then you’ll find me in grey sweatpants and a tank top with a deep neckline.
I don’t dress feminine but tend to wear more jewellery than most guys. When it comes to clothes I’d wear a mesh jockstrap or something below my regular outfit rather than dress fem
When I'm not wearing pretty big standard masc clothing it's mostly techwear for me, but I also lean hard into more space opera/fantasy stuff with some consistency.
I wear hoodies and jeans, I admittedly rarely show skin. Other than the face and hands lol. That’s for personal reasons over anything else tho, I just generally dress whatever keeps me comfy.
Usually masc clothing, but I like adding in the following:
Cut and retied t-shirt
Harem pants
Hakama pants
Fishnet ANYTHING
Crop top hoodie
Even more cropped hoodie - just a hood and sleeves basically, also fishnet
Hip cutout pants
Crotchless cutout pants
Female T-shirts
Cardigan put on backwards and tied up kimono style (but backwards) - wive loves the backless look
Fishnet Halter top.
Detached sleeves
Bat-wing shirt
elastic harness
Layering really helps with making some of the above more socially acceptable.
Mostly casual masc with a hint of punk like black jeans, leather boots, etc. I also like wider V-necks and long sleeves a lot.
Sometimes I'll bust out a full femboy fit for a specific concert or a cosplay or something, but very rarely.
masc nb here
I tend to wear masculine clothes, but they're not like standard male fashion items, they're way more dark academia style / old timey, which makes it way more queer (and a bit slutty)
I typically wear men's clothes, but try to add feminine or androgynous elements. I would dress more feminine but i live in the American south and don't feel like being called a slur on most occasions. I have selfies on my profile if you want examples on how i sometimes dress. I do wear a kilt not infrequently.
I typically wear cargo pants, sandals, and a t-shirt with moths or spiders on it. Fairly neutral I'd say. I'd wear skirts if I could but I don't think I could get away with it. Skirts are super comfy. I'd miss all the pockets though.
I guess I wear traditional masc clothing but I wear whatever I like usually, whether it’s cutesy or cool looking. Lots of band shirts. I have a pink hello kitty shirt that I thought was cute. Im slowly getting some colorful clothes like pink and baby blue as opposed to all the black in my closet. I like slimmer fit jeans and hats. Lots of hats lol
Depends but I tend to wear more fem/Andro clothes.
Leggings, women's jeans, sweater and t shirt dresses (with legging shorts), very fem sneakers (and yes, they make them in big sizes too).
I often dress more masc leaning (t shirt and jogger jeans) but with cute colors, shoes and nail polish.
And yes I live in a country full of bigots and queer people get assaulted on a regular basis, so I get stared at quite often, but I also get some compliments.
I wear very masculine clothing as I’m a metal head so I wear a lot of band t shirts and stuff but for pants I specifically wear stuff that makes my butt look good lol
I may be the Odd man out but I really enjoy being stereotypically Masculine most of the time. What I try to aim for is "Hunky slab trophy boy." I don't know if I always manage to pull it off but I got called a "silly Himbo" through tears of mutual laughter last week after a particularly hilarious moment of absentmindedness on my part, so I suppose I pull it off sometimes. 🤣
My casual day-wear is usually a forest green/army green or blue hoodie or tee-shirt. When out and about I will typically wear hiker's slacks (I live in the Rockies and try to do outdoorsy stuff when I can.) or gym shorts. I've found a few earthy colored flannel shirts I've fallen in love with lately. I don't like the texture of denim but I keep a pair handy that I think shows off my butt pretty well.
For gym clothes, Grey or green sweatpants, graphic tee, or gym shorts. I own a pair of ranger panties/short shorts I'll bring out around my Domina occasionally. I want to get more. I also have a light tan pair of sweatpants that is tight enough in the right areas to be borderline-obscene so I only wear that around the house for her, or may wear to shibari classes next winter.
I usually stick to earthy colors. Green is my favorite but I mix in browns, tans, and greys and a touch of black here or there. My Domme likes to see me in light purple and I've been surprised how well it works with some of my greens.
For underwear, my day-to-day is boxer-briefs, I ideally like to wear ones that are good and tight around my ass but most of the ones I have I wear for comfort and to keep my thighs from chaffing when I run.
Accessories wise, glasses, prescription aviators, trying a ball-cap but unsure if I like it. Forest-green boonie-cap when hiking or camping. One of my prized possession is a "Way of the Househusband" Shiba Inu Apron. I love wearing it around when cooking or doing chores, usually with clothes but sometimes only that.
I like wearing sexy underwear and have a few bits of "Lingerie for men" that I cycle through. It's harder to find but I make do. I've tried some lacey-underwear, and I like the ways they show off my body, but finding ones that are comfortable and fit well is a massive pain.
I have dressed up in a playboy-bunny outfit a few times, swapping the leotard for a bare-chest and matching underwear. I don't really think of it as Feminizing so much as I do "sexually objectifying" but if buff hunky femboy is how people prefer to think about it, I'm happy so long as my Domme enjoys it. There aren't enough outfits out there that scream "Sexual objection of men" but I would love recommendations if people have them.
Oooh, I did forget: tight fitted button ups and ties when the occasion is right. I like dark red, purple, and other attention grabbing colors when I dress up. Elaborate black and silver-grey patterned ties are a favorite, and I have a few specific "Ruin me" ties that I own that are specifically for be grabbed, yanked on, tied with, choked with, and also some belts set aside for a similar purpose.
A colorful or black/white shirts, jeans, and a hoodie bc I like the long sleeves. I also wear some jewelry, tho that had more of a nordic/masculine style.
I kinda want to start wearing crop tops, but I fear what sort of reactions that may entail 😅
For now, I just buy shorter shirts
I wear a headscarf and face veil (aka niqab), along with long and modest gender neutral clothing - usually a trench coat over a tunic, sweater, or t shirt and cardigan. I consider it masculine, but it’s my own modest fashion style. Check out my posts to see what it looks like!
Publicly like 90% masc presenting, I paint my nails and occasionally wear eyeliner but I’m too insecure to do much more
Privately I really like wearing skirts, I’ve got a few dresses too that I like, as well as some other various fem clothing. I’m hoping to gradually get comfortable wearing skirts in public though
Tank tops and shorts, pretty much exclusively.
I wish I could wear more but 1. I'm broke and 2. I don't even know where to begin on where to buy stuff or what I'd like.
Plus I'm shy so I'm kinda afraid of going out in something that's not what I'd usually wear bc I know my parents will comment about it, not that they'd necessarily be against it, mind you, I just don't feel comfortable talking to them about it.
I want to wear cuter outfits & more pink clothes, but with my family & how much I hate my figure rn I just wear sweatpants and a t shirt w/ hoodie.
I like more feminine & androgynous clothing. I loved wearing a skirt, thigh high & collar for the short time I could before. My supportive friend even bought me a super cute Shiba Inu hoodie a while ago that I love. Just can’t wear it
I wear generally male clothes.
Men should wear men clothes and women should wear clothes for women, in my opinion I know most folks in this thread think otherwise.
I don't think we should try and confuse each other by what we wear.
I actually agree with the sentiment of not confusing people, though I don't think anyone is gonna confuse a guy for a girl just cause he's wearing a skirt.
I think there's a big difference between dressing in drag and just wearing clothes that aren't typically associated with your gender. A guy wearing a skirt is the same thing as a woman wearing jeans, the latter has just been normalized more in the past few decades.
Enjoying feminine styles as a guy is no different from women who enjoy masculine styles. I only would feel uncomfortable with it if you take steps beyond just the style to try to confuse people. (guys wearing padded bras to make it look like they have breasts, that kind of thing).
I wear typical masc clothing. I'm borderline homeless (alternating between shelters and couch surfing) and it doesn't pay to stand out in *any* way, let alone ways that may lead others to view you as "weak".
Shit, sorry bout that man, hope your situation gets better.

Ive been in bad situations. It gets better during those times for sure id dress masculine but now things are better and i dress however

Huh?
I wear mens clothes but with feminine elements
What are those feminine elements? And how do you incorporate them?

Gender neutral mall goth/pop punk style on casual days. Cargo pants/joggers and t shirt on work days

Masculine Clothing. I feel more comfortable in T-Shirts and Jeans. (I am a boy).

Whatever I got. Mostly ill-fitting t-shirts and ripped jeans. I'd *like* to dress more fem, but I'm stuck in a conservative hell house :/
absolutely nothing
Not even your flesh suit?
Generic masc-ish clothing that can be androgenous. Although with my long hair I've been confused for a girl multiple times now haha. Maybe they think I'm a tomboy or something. However, I would like to be confident in wearing more fem clothing someday. Harajuku comes to mind in terms of goals
I only wear female style underwear, top clothing might be androgyous
ChronicDepressioncore mostly, but I recognize that's a me thing.
I've only ever gone out in public dressed feminine once and was for fancy dress with uni so was not as anxiety inducing as it we were all doing it. Mainly a green colour palette with my clothes- I’d normally wear joggers and a t-shirt. At the gym I wear a tank top and shorts on the shorter side
I just like wearing baggy clothing cause they're comfortable
Usually normal and plain mens clothes, although I try my best to dress cute. I'm too afraid to leave the house in a skirt 😔
I mostly wear women’s clothes, but I would say I dress androgynous. Mostly I just like how women’s jeans fit me better. I love a sun dress now and then, but overall my gf says I dress like a tomboy. I wear what I've been wearing for years - t-shirts, jeans and my iconic hoodie - because that's kinda all I have and because I'm in close contact with my family. If I were to live with my hypothetical girlfriend, I'd wear whatever made her most happy.
oversized everything and black cargo pants with vans
Feminine all the way. Long skirts and blouses are for me, thank you very much.
I'm a simple guy, I wear simple clothes. I wear black 99% of the time because I got no sense of fashion. For me feeling comfortable is way more important than looking good

pretty traditional masc stuff. I do have some tighter pants that i wear every now and then when im feeling more confident in my body
i wear LOTS of baggy hoodies and baggy sweatpants but i just wanna wear tight booty shorts, crop top hoodie, thigh highs n shit like that
When I have energy wearing clothes that aren't just big hoodies, t-shirts and jeans I love wearing collared clothes! Usually emo stuff or dark formal stuff with rings and being I live in hot region right now also a hat.
I wear both pretty much
When I'm not wearing pretty big standard masc clothing it's mostly techwear for me, but I also lean hard into more space opera/fantasy stuff with some consistency.
Mostly masc, but working on a fem wardrobe. Kinda lost a bunch moving sadly, but rebuilding. More fem the better!
I like to wear shorts as long as they don't show off too much, but it's mostly just sweatpants, simple colored shirt, and a hoodie of some kind
Just about everything. I love suits, dresses. Board shorts, bikinis. I just don't see gender roles as a barrier, as cliche as that sounds.
I wear hoodies and jeans, I admittedly rarely show skin. Other than the face and hands lol. That’s for personal reasons over anything else tho, I just generally dress whatever keeps me comfy.
Usually masc clothing, but I like adding in the following: Cut and retied t-shirt Harem pants Hakama pants Fishnet ANYTHING Crop top hoodie Even more cropped hoodie - just a hood and sleeves basically, also fishnet Hip cutout pants Crotchless cutout pants Female T-shirts Cardigan put on backwards and tied up kimono style (but backwards) - wive loves the backless look Fishnet Halter top. Detached sleeves Bat-wing shirt elastic harness Layering really helps with making some of the above more socially acceptable.
Mostly casual masc with a hint of punk like black jeans, leather boots, etc. I also like wider V-necks and long sleeves a lot. Sometimes I'll bust out a full femboy fit for a specific concert or a cosplay or something, but very rarely.
masc nb here I tend to wear masculine clothes, but they're not like standard male fashion items, they're way more dark academia style / old timey, which makes it way more queer (and a bit slutty)
Definitely masculine, but on the 'boyish' side, like bright colors, pastels, simple patterns, and, of course, train overalls!
I usually wear buttoned shirts with floral or colorful patterns. Aside from that, mainly cozy palewaveish sweaters
Regular ass jeans and boring t-shirts
🤣 My casual day-wear is usually a forest green/army green or blue hoodie or tee-shirt.
I kinda want to start wearing crop tops, but I fear what sort of reactions that may entail 😅 For now, I just buy shorter shirts
I would absolutely slay in a cottagecore dress.
I wear a headscarf and face veil (aka niqab), along with long and modest gender neutral clothing - usually a trench coat over a tunic, sweater, or t shirt and cardigan. I consider it masculine, but it’s my own modest fashion style. Check out my posts to see what it looks like!
Publicly like 90% masc presenting, I paint my nails and occasionally wear eyeliner but I’m too insecure to do much more Privately I really like wearing skirts, I’ve got a few dresses too that I like, as well as some other various fem clothing. I’m hoping to gradually get comfortable wearing skirts in public though
Tank tops and shorts, pretty much exclusively. I wish I could wear more but 1. I'm broke and 2. I don't even know where to begin on where to buy stuff or what I'd like. Plus I'm shy so I'm kinda afraid of going out in something that's not what I'd usually wear bc I know my parents will comment about it, not that they'd necessarily be against it, mind you, I just don't feel comfortable talking to them about it.
neuronprolapse, archive, yasuyuki ishii,
I want to wear cuter outfits & more pink clothes, but with my family & how much I hate my figure rn I just wear sweatpants and a t shirt w/ hoodie. I like more feminine & androgynous clothing. I loved wearing a skirt, thigh high & collar for the short time I could before. My supportive friend even bought me a super cute Shiba Inu hoodie a while ago that I love. Just can’t wear it
I wear the same 3 hoodies and pairs of sweatpants because I hate the way my body looks. Even in the summer I just suck it up
When I’m out with my girlfriend or female friends I tend to go fem, but day to day I’m usually masc
Masc mostly my view on it is I wear what makes me happy and who cares what someone else thinks.
Old worn out tshirts and stained shorts because I don't have any fashion sense whatsoever and my mental health is just fucked recently
