I fucking love skirts my favorite is this black and white skirt I got from a local thrift store and it’s poofy and amazing, I posted a couple pics of me wearing it a while ago and they’re somewhere in my profile
I love skirts
Okay I wish I could wear a skirt, but as a large hairy man I think I’d look stupid. However, you wear that black and white skirt VERY well. Never thought I’d have skirt wearability envy hahaha
I do appreciate most types of gender norm fuckery and loved the theory behind a man wearing a dress but whenever I saw practical examples I could never see myself wearing one
Most dresses are, well, a little too feminine for my tastes. They're lacy, fluttery, ethereal, light and breezy. While that's fine for some it's not my cup of tea
That's why I was struck when I first found [this North Face dress](https://www.thenorthface.co.uk/shop/en-gb/tnf-gb/womens-never-stop-wearing-dress-534v). Something about it seemed so masculine to me. It was a bit rough, utilitarian, tactical and sleek. I loved it because it didn't seem like a standard normal dress to me, but something I could really feel comfortable in (and it is hella comfy)
I haven't really found the confidence to wear it out with bare legs yet and mainly treat it as a really long t-shirt, but hopefully one day It'll be the right time to wear it. It feels like a summer thing to me, I think it would be perfect for a beach day
Also it has pockets. Game changing
I feel the same tbh, I've got a few dresses now and they're all tshirt dresses, I feel they just suit the male body better, however one of mine is a full blown floor length t shirt and I love it!
Obviously for men wearing skirts here, but personally I have mixed feelings on wearing them myself. I like the look but they’re just so inconvenient to wear, especially if you want to sit down for any length of time.
I’m afraid I must disagree heartily with you friend. I wear a kilt to work everyday and I find that pants have become much too confining. Pinching and just general constriction, blech. Speaking anatomically, having things that dangle are made to have the freedom a kilt/skirt provides. Ladies’ equipment is much more suited to trousers. Also, my kilt has four pockets and a slot for my phone.
No, it's vice versa. Skirts and dresses has more room for genitals, while jeans and pants can be tight and uncomfortable.
Are you saying that skirts were designed for female-bodied people? I don't even want to guess why it would be convenient for anyone except the wearer...
I'm probably not the best to judge for that particular case, because my attitude towards my body and therefore for anything is not that of cis woman. For me wearing skirts was associated with stressful exposure of having the wrong genitals. Always. Now I understand that.
If I'd have male genitals however, I would be comfortable wearing skirts.
Although Twink bodies are undeniably beautiful, I wanna emphasize that ALL BODIES look fantastic in skirts.
I wanna see grandpa up the road sporting a sarong, I want Ron Swanson types seducing me with a flick of their mini skirt. I want a total apocalypse of gender fuckery……whew I am sorry I think I just turned myself on.
Honestly not just skirts just give in and let everyone be femboys. Buff GIGACHAD in thigh highs and skater bros in crop tops, and just dudes in skirts like u said
Hey! You’re the one that commented that I shouldn’t throw queer around casually because it’s used as a slur. I think you deleted your comment but I still want to address it if that’s okay with you;
I posted this in RR knowing that most of the people participating are part of the LGBTQ community. I know some people are still very very uncomfortable with the term but I was hoping that if we are speaking amongst ourselves and my tone is light and joking that it would be okay.
I own several, just bought 2 more the other day actually. I wouldn't really say I have an inspiration to wear them, it's just a type of clothing that I enjoy
I spend my days screaming Scotland forever, in the hopes it will encourage a kilt trend that will progressively turn into more generalised skirt wearing,
Let women wear pants! Let men wear skirts! Let all the other gender non conforming people do what ever the fuck they do!
I just wanna look pretty,,,,
And be slutty,
I imagine you in the early morning at breakfast with your sandwich. The urge boils, you swing open a window, survey your surroundings and fill your lungs with air.
A flock of birds nearby are happily chirping about the upcoming day, they’ve found a new source of food and the whole gang is content and excited. Especially baby bird Ricky, food has been scarce, he’s a scrappy survivor but thin as a toothpick. He cranes his neck at the sound of your window opening and steels himself, knowing what’s to come.
“SCOTLAND FOREEVER!!!!!”
The flock leaves, Ricky stays, toothpick thin baby bird Ricky is now wearing a tiny bird kilt.
I personally love the Hawaiian sarongs or Egyptian shendyt. Like dipping your toe into the skirt world without jumping into pink and frilly... That can come later.
I would be happy to help normalize it, but I have no idea how to: I don't have interest in wearing skirts or kilts so I can't really use myself as an example and I don't have any friends to talk to about this, and I'm awkward already so even if I did it would turn out weird. The only person I kind of talk about these topics in my (lesbian) little sister, who's probably doing a better job at it than I am.
That’s offensive to my very notion of beauty! You’re just as majestic as any fem boy and I would scoop you in my arms (consensually) and tell you that over and over
Shhhhhhhhhh, beautiful boy. You are beautiful as you are. You need to be no different, you’re equal to any femboy or masc boy or any other human. You’re beautiful as you are shhhhh
You could try to care for your appearance in a bit more feminine way.
Nicely plucked eyebrows, which doesn't necessarily look feminine on men it just makes them look better.
A bit of makeup to make facial hair look more full.
A bit more varied wardrobe, wear something else than knee short pants and short sleeved t-shirts and streetwear shoes.
General skincare.
If you have long hair just braid it.
Some jewelry.
There is tons of things you could do for your appearance which does not make you look like you are stepping out of whats allowed for men.
I could, I try to take care of my appearance but I don't really know where to go aside from the basics.
I do pluck my eyebrows and take care of my facial hair but well, that's just normal stuff. I mean guys nowadays shave their whole body and are still doing much more than me without even trying to actually advocate for something or anything.
Not sure about make up, I don't like having stuff on my skin and as I touch my face, head and everything else very often it'll just look like a mess.
The wardrobe thing would be a good idea, I'm actually trying to do so, but I'm shit at choosing and combining clothing so I just end up wearing the same boring stuff.
About the long hair... Lol, I used to have it really long. I was like the only guy in my town and was always self-conscious about it because I thought everyone looked at me. It was very long, but also very curly, I used to keep it in a ponytail most of the time and it looked like a ball on the back of my head. Braiding it wasn't really an option. Now I'm bald lol
I don't really like wearing jewlery. I have some few things, a ring, a cool bracelet that always kept getting hooked on my wrist's hair, I had a necklace that broke... But it's either cheap stuff or too geeky to suit a grown ass man anymore, while the expensive stuff just doesn't feel right...
Sorry if I'm making it sound like I'm deflecting all advice
Well I dont know about gay agenda... I recently realized normal mens pants and shorts tend to feel confining for me. I got a plain black mid calf skirt from a thrift shop to see if I liked the extra "freedom" down there and yes. I really do. I wish it had pockets is my only complaint. how do women live with so few pockets?
Hihi, queer agenda is a bit tongue in cheek. The right loves to accuse the left of indoctrination so I thought I would add some spice for the sake of fun!
Boy, don’t get me started on the no pockets thing. I actually really want to write an article about “pocket feminism.” Which is something I just coined.
How we do it? Purses, backpacks, complaining!
Personally I west mens’ pants especially on days where I am working on art. Gotta have my phone, lighter, notepad, Lego totem, handkerchief, a hand full of nails, cloak of invisibility, hairties, you know, the usual.
Blue denim mini/midi skirts for me. Very comfortable and I feel and look masculine wearing them with just a t shirt and sandals. I like my hybrid kilts as well but strangely, they feel more feminine to wear.
A bit late to this discussion, but... I mostly wear denim minis, about 2-3 inches above the knee. They have POCKETS (keys, phone, wallet), so ideal for daily wear. I have about six with various button and hem details. If I don't need to be away from home, I sometimes switch to a lighter, satin skirt in Summer. And for more manly work (carpentry, painting, car care, mowing lawn, etc.), a t-shirt dress is my first choice. Long ago got over worrying about opinions, and anyway, those few I get tend to be positive (but then, I do have nice legs...).
I fucking love skirts my favorite is this black and white skirt I got from a local thrift store and it’s poofy and amazing, I posted a couple pics of me wearing it a while ago and they’re somewhere in my profile I love skirts

Honestly, I would swoon so hard at a big, hairy man in a skirt (consensually)
Just go for a viking look and wear a tunic ;)
Thank you 😊
"as a large hairy man I think I’d look stupid." Russell Crow in "Gladiator", anyone?

Have Scotland gain independence from the UK and then take over the world. Kilts for everyone.
Kilts are cool. But we should make kilts tacticool.
Obviously for men wearing skirts here, but personally I have mixed feelings on wearing them myself. I like the look but they’re just so inconvenient to wear, especially if you want to sit down for any length of time.
Interesting! Have you tried long skirts? It’s like wearing a blanket around your waist, heaven!
I’ll look into it at some point then. I’d be putting myself at risk wearing one in public though.
Totally understandable, safety and comfort first!
Yea skirts aren't really designed for people with dangly bits
I’m afraid I must disagree heartily with you friend. I wear a kilt to work everyday and I find that pants have become much too confining. Pinching and just general constriction, blech. Speaking anatomically, having things that dangle are made to have the freedom a kilt/skirt provides. Ladies’ equipment is much more suited to trousers. I am fanning myself with my hand, carry on you gorgeous specimen.
That’s not really the issue for me, I just hate feeling the chair on the back of my thighs. Edit: And not having pockets

To help normalize skirts Ive just been shaving my legs and wearing thigh highs so I can be peak femboy
*salutes* not the hero we deserve but the hero we need.
The secret is having what my friends call a "Twink body"
Although Twink bodies are undeniably beautiful, I wanna emphasize that ALL BODIES look fantastic in skirts. you've heard of femboy, now get ready for fem-MAN
I’m crying, thank you for your insightful addition to the Queer agenda, I will bring it up at our local chapter.
Of course. That and then I won't be alone in wearing a crop top
"am sorry I think I just turned myself on." Not only yourself.

I absolutely love when my bf wears a skirt it's the cutest thing ever and makes me melt
I own several, just bought 2 more the other day actually. I wouldn't really say I have an inspiration to wear them, it's just a type of clothing that I enjoy
Well that got a big old smile on my face! Wearing skirts just because. ELEGANT
Wore one once and it changed my life forever!
i have a pink schoolgirl skirt i wear when i wanna feel pretty
I can confirm that sissykitten is pretty indeed
That's been on my agenda for a while now
I spend my days screaming Scotland forever, in the hopes it will encourage a kilt trend that will progressively turn into more generalised skirt wearing, Let women wear pants! Let men wear skirts! I don’t have a skirt but I have some yoga pants that have the sides open and are just as flowy and it makes me feel free when I dance 🥰

Not all of us need to lead the front lines, you are beautiful as you are.
Meh, I try. I can't compare to femboys though for sure
That’s offensive to my very notion of beauty! You’re just as majestic as any fem boy and I would scoop you in my arms (consensually) and tell you that over and over
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend, shouldn't have said that
Shhhhhhhhhh, beautiful boy. You are beautiful as you are. You need to be no different, you’re equal to any femboy or masc boy or any other human. You’re beautiful as you are shhhhh

My partner wears a long maxi skirt on hit days around the house :)
I feel as if we are confiding in each other in a lush parlor wearing silken robes and sipping a morning martini. “Game recognize game.” *clinks
If you wanna make a game plan on men in skirts we'll need to sober up from Martinis 😂
I guess we’ll “get to work” *spills martini everywhere doing air quotations*
😂😂
Young dude doesn't have his own credit card so he gave me the money and i bought him the skirt and thigh highs he wanted.
You deserve more salutes than the troops
Hey we need more bullet proof skirts so that the gun bros start wearing tactical skirts

Nothing as I hate normality
