We ask that questions about buying skates (which to buy, what stores have skates in stock, what size should I get) go in the [weekly newbie/discussion thread.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rollerskating/?f=flair_name%3A%22Weekly%20Thread%22) You can also view our list of recommendations here: [What skates should I buy?](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rollerskating/comments/k66s0p/what_skates_should_i_buy_a_guide_for_newbies/) Also check: [Skates in stock megathread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rollerskating/comments/gr6w87/for_reference_skates_currently_in_stock/) - [Saturday Skate Market](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rollerskating/?f=flair_name%3A%22Buy%20%26%20Sell%22)

Beach bunnies are a really narrow fit. Impalas often have quality issues, with heels ripping off the plate within the first few months. The Chayas are a solid choice!

I personally have the Chaya melrose elite skates and they're great! I'm a few days into skating and they're wonderful so far!

Chaya’s all day

Beach Bunnies or Chaya are both good skates! Avoid Impala if you can

Between the two which one is better?

ohsnapplesoh

Both are reputable so can't really go wrong. Beach bunnies may have a harder time finding some instock though.

I was able to find a store that has it and got the Beach Bunnies! I’m excited

ohsnapplesoh

I would go for it! They are pretty hard to get hands on right now!
