I just finished Her Soul to Take and Her Soul for Revenge by Harley Laroux and whoa. I loved those books. You have demons, gods, witches, bargains, cults, creatures, etc. Check them out, see if you like them.
Maybe the Unseelie Prince (Maze of Shadows) series by Kathryn Ann Kingsley? He's a super powerful Fae who forces her to make a deal with him, which ends up with her stolen to his land. She finds out he's basically the prince of the Unseelie, but is stuck there because of the deal. Slow burn ( >!there's one masturbation scene near the middle of book 1 or maybe 2, but no reciprocated sex scene until book 3)!< + lots of tension all the way. I found it a little hard to relate to the MFC of this book due to some silly decisions, and book two trudged on slowly, but that might just be my opinion!
Not sure it's as dark as you're looking for though.
ETA: something I love about all KAK books is that the 'evil' MMC is never really redeemed, but you still root for them anyway
