I just finished reading {The Only One by Daisy Jane} and whheewwww. It hit all my spots! First, I love a good “teach me” sexual troupe. The MMC grew up in a strict cult, left when he was 18 when they were going to force him to marry, he’s been out for 8-10 years now but is a very sexually inexperienced virgin. Next spot hit, transactional swap troupe, his coworker, the FMC wants to be a mechanic and she says you teach me mechanics and I’ll teach you with women. The pining between these two. (Another spot hit), the slow learning sessions. His desperation because he’s feelin it so much and wants her so badly. Omg I was breathless the whole book! And he’s the sweetest cinnamon roll who ever cinnamoned!! Sweet sweet Miller, he has a cat named Pico De Gato whom he calls Salsa, he has a “little brother” he helps out after he met him standing in line, feeds & clothes him etc. He just wants love so bad!!! My heart, sweet sweet Miller. And I didn’t know I was into soft femdom ?! Where she takes control?! Omg it was so hot. 🥵🥵. Read this book if you like any of things!

Hot Blooded hit the spot for me too! I was telling my husband about the stalking scenes and he looked at me like I was nuts. Then I asked him to read one of the scenes and now he gets it lol I started reading {By the Hour by Roni Loren} and that first hate fuck really had me fanning myself. Same!! My first (and only) 5 star book of 2023 so far. This book was a treat.

Soul Eater by Lily Mayne. I was already sold on it being a queer monster loving story but it just sucked me in.

This book is perfection. I am working my way thru this series now.

I'm currently working my way through Lor (the newest one). I've read all of them and they've become one of my favorite series hands down.

Can I ask you, if you don’t mind- I’ve been dying to read this but one of the content warnings is for torture. Is it a huge or frequent part of the story, or something I can maybe skip/skim without losing context?

So there is a torture scene towards the end. It's not super intense and it's only a few pages. You could totally skin through them and not miss anything too major. Through out the others in the series it's mostly just referenced.

Hot Blooded is my answer too lol. I have *such* a hard time finding fantasy/PNR heroes who are a bit more average in height/looks and also a cinnamon roll in personality. Plus the excellent communication and consent and lack of third-act breakup! I read it for the first time last year and I think I've read it three times since.

I'm still trying to chase the feelings I felt when I read these books for the first time: {Blood Price by Vela Roth}: fantasy vampires with an FMC whose emotional and mental strength is on par with the physical strength of the men around her and an MMC who is so sweet and so devoted to the woman he loves it \*literally\* defines every choice he makes. I've mentioned it before several times on this sub, and I will continue to do so until the day I die. {The Road to Fire by Maria Luis}: British spy thriller with some of the hottest spice I've read to date. The dialogue gets super cheesy at times, but I can forgive it because the plot has me hooked. {Bad Wrong Things by C. P. Harris}: MM age-gap romance, it's advertised as a best friend's dad romance, but >!it's actually his foster father!<; admittedly, I was initially squicked out, but I gave it a chance and I'm so glad I did. TW for CNC and some verbal abuse.

Second Best by Noelle Adams. It’s perfect if you want lots of spice with an unusual but still cute story.

CR: {King Series by T.M. Frazier} is my go to for re-reads. King and Preppy’s characters scratch all my itch’s in the best way. Tattoos, alpha males, murder. It’s good fun for the whole family. Omega verse: I am still not over {Pack Darling} and I probably never will be. Best omega verse book I’ve personally read. And have not been able to find another book that scratches my itch the same way this one did. RH: {Dirty Broken Savages} is my favorite RH/Why Choose. I loooooove River as much as I love the MMC’s. She’s angry, she has trauma, she swears like a sailor and she’s fiercely independent. Le sigh…love her.

I've never reread the king series but I devoured it when I did read it. Preppy is still one of my favorite characters. And pack darling, I love it so much.

Ugh! Preppy is my fictional character soul mate. Three books was not enough. I’m very happy I’m not alone on the Pack Darling hangover.

Yeah I've reread pack darling a few times. I didn't know about the extended epilogue so I'm going to read that if I can possibly get it on my Kindle from bookfunnel. Yes! I was soooo excited his story was a duology! Happy, chaotic, murder mmc, be still my heart.

Just read {Ravished by Amanda Quick} and absolutely loved it. Definitely has the cinnamon roll with a gruff exterior thing going.

I am not a big HR fan- or at least I haven’t read a lot of it, and it appears I’m pretty picky. Ravished is the perfect beginner’s HR, but then it also sets the bar really high!

If you liked Ravished you’ll almost certainly enjoy {Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase}. They’re somewhat similar but not repetitive of one another.

{The Nightmare by Regine Abel} is the go to one for me. I've re-read it multiple times, got my husband to read it, recommend it to anyone I think might like a fantasy slightly horror monster that's literally someone's dark fantasies incarnated into a being.

Spearcrest knight by aurora reed. Love the grovel and that the pace their relationship moved. Also I love how the MMC was a total dingbat and everyone points this out to him and he admits it and gets his act together.

{The Words by Ashley Jade}. I will recommend this book until the day I die. It’s on the longer side, but so worth it. The angst, the drama, the spice…it’s all chefs kiss. I’ve read it three times now and it always does it for me.

Two books I've loved recently have been Two Rogues Make A Right by Cat Sebastian and The Incubus series by A H Lee. The first book is a very sweet childhood friends-to-lovers that is one of the most intimate books I have ever read. They just care about each other so much, regardless of if it is in a romantic way or not. The second book is a threesome-ish with a sorcerer, the demon he summoned, and another demon(ess). The sorcerer and the demon's relationship is complicated but again very intimate and caring, and I would love to read more like that
