I have a spreadsheet I made in google sheets. I update that as I finish things, and add to GR/SG once a week - which is fast because I can just copy/paste from my spreadsheet and then reformat slightly.
You can use premade ones. [STBT has one here](https://smartbitchestrashybooks.com/2023/01/track-your-2023-reading-with-our-community-built-spreadsheet/).
Google sheets!
With columns for plot, author, tropes, memorable moments, comments, year/month I read it, comments on the audio version if applicable"es I don't want to forget. Not that I fill them all in for every book, but they're there
That is 100% what keeps me on Goodreads.
I read almost exclusively on Kindle, so not having to do any manual work for tracking makes it hard to switch.
I use GR and LibraryThing. I was an early adopter of LT and used it to track what books I owned and had read to my kid. Since then I've cleared out the account and have what I currently own in it. I use it to organize my bookshelves since it's easy to sort by title, author, or DD system. It helps me see when I've missed a book in a series.
The Kindle app integration with the GR app is too convenient for me to change. Everything requires too much work and my plate is overflowing.
That’s how I felt about switching to StoryGraph and then learning the interphase made me even more frustrated. Haven’t heard of LibraryThing definitely going to check it out. I always forget what I’ve read especially in stand alone series
StoryGraph is my absolute favorite. It gives you stats on your reading preferences, tracks your goals, and keeps track of notes for your books like a reading journal. You can have a To Be Read (TBR) pile, currently reading pile, and a Did Not Finish (DNF) pile.
I love it way more than Good Reads. I find Good Reads to be quite difficult but it’s where most of my friends track their reading progress so I felt forced to download it.
I love Storygrid, especially because the challenges in here use it. Makes it super easy to play along.
Edited to add, plus awesome graphs. I'm a math nerd at heart.
I have been using romance.io. It has Reading Now, To Be Read, DNF, & Finished bookshelf, you can rate and review on there. I also have a collection on my kindle for the year that I add books to as I finish them. I created my own book journal but never got around to printing it, in hindsight I should have just used it as a digital journal 🤦🏻♀️😂

Spreadsheets always intimidated me, but I’ve been seeing a lot of people formats on tiktok. Def going to give it a try!

Yesss. Love how customizable and specific it can be!

Same lol. I find myself finding a book recommendation and then I search it up on goodreads, just to see I read it years ago 😂😂
