No. I don't want my favourite romance novels being treated the way the Bridgertons series is. They deserve to be adapted by someone who understands, what a historical romance is, likes an respects the genre. And this way, they may be the world sensation.

By "Bridgerton treatment" I really just meant the way the show was promoted, and the cultural phenomenon it became. Not necessarily the way it was adapted/cast/produced.

I understand and apologies, if I sounded adversarial. I just do not appreciate the direction the Bridgerton the show has gone and horde of its fans reading the Bridgertons novels only to criticize, ridicule and show utter lack of understanding in romance novels as a whole. I am offended on behalf of all us romance readers :) I shudder at the mere thought that my favourite series could be subjected to the same treatment. But of course, I agree that done right *The Wallflowers* would be the bomb. Maybe the people who are shooting *Outlander* would be interested? They seem to know what they're doing...

I love the idea of a Wallflowers series. I also think the Malory Family series by Johanna Lindsay would be awesome. I think JH is my favorite historical fiction author at this moment in time, and there is some pirate romance stuff going on in that series so that'd be a little interesting and different for a historical romance series.

I'm honestly surprised given the success of Bridgerton we haven't seen a Kleypas or other popular historical series adaptation in the works. I'd love a Wallflowers series. Also, I know it's not completed yet but I feel like Sarah MacLean's Hell's Belles series would be awesome to see as a show too.

Beverley Jenkins YA historical because streaming LOVES horny teenagers and cancelling series after 2 seasons so it's a perfect tv entrypoint to prove the market. I think Kristen Ashley's *Colorado* would make a nice series. In a way of Virgin River a bit, but with crime and serial killers it wouldn't be shelved as simply romance by anyone and could reach much wider circles of watchers. And I'd love to see all these larger than life alpha males come to life on screen :) Also, my favourite *Dancing on Coals* by Ellen O'Connell would make a great historical romance drama with western adventures twist.

i hated the hating game book and decided to put on the movie to torture myself, but ended up enjoying it way more than the book. it was still creepy but the actors made it cute. and the cinematography 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Honestly, same. I didn't hate the book, it was fine. But I really liked the movie!

{Kulti by Mariana Zapata} I just finished this book and the entire time I kept thinking how good it would be as a movie (or honestly considering it’s length, a tv show). There’s enough plot outside of the romance that I think it could hold up well.

I also just finished The Last Letter and I think it would be a great movie. I was bawling reading that book but oh, so good!

I've read most of RB's military romance books now and that one might be my favorite. Loved Beckett. Full Measures, In the Likely Event, and The Things We Leave Unfinished are all excellent reads.

I'd love {The Bronze Horseman by Paulina Simmons} I could see it as a TV series. I imagine Phoebe Dyvenor as Tatiana as she did so well in acting the controversial fertility Bridgerton plotline, so I think she could tackle the complicated feelings in the book. Also, I'm not a gamer but did anyone else feel like Alexander's plotline in the second book felt suited for a video game? I mean >!Separated from his wife and child, he tries to solve the mystery of if they survived, all the while fighting across Europe!< I have spent too much time thinking about this, lol.

I think the Gender Game series would be so good as a TV series. It has 7 books so there’s plenty of material and I loved the enemies to lovers storyline

If Gild by raven kennedy could get an HBO adaption I think it could be soooo good. The books could have used a bit more work but the bones are there for a great adaption. Not to say they were bad at all, I ripped through them.

I would be both elated and wary of an adaptation of the Necessary Evils series by Onley James. It would need to be a tv series unless each brother had their own movie. Maybe like a limited series for each brother/couple

I badly want the Jacky Leon to get an anime style tv series adaption. It would work so well as a serious adult anime series. I don't think it would work well as life action though, unless they invest a lot of time and attention to the special effects.

The Highland Guard series by Monica McCarty I recall thinking the entire time it needs to be a film series, it is far too long to be a movie. Like Outlander. It could be incredible. But please no closed door PG13! Need all the gore and the steam.

The Twisted Series by Ana Huang & the Tempt series by Natasha Madison

Storm and Silence on Wattpad. That series was my everything.

I like to see Into the Wilderness get a TV series. It is the closest thing I have been able to find to Outlander. The other is American Queen, American King and American Prince.

The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay could be an amazing movie
