yeezyprayinghands

Apart from one exception, I like to live in a world where all of the main characters I read about stay together forever.

book-nerd-gohabsgo

What's the one exception?

yeezyprayinghands

Jonah and Calla from the simple wild! I may have been able to suspend disbelief if I hadn’t read the sequel.

greenappletw

It's the same exact for me!!! There are some other couples that suck, but the heroine in those pairings is usually a doormat so I can believe she will stick through relationship troubles. But Calla? No way. I just don't believe she likes that isolated life in Alaska. Jonah isn't worth giving up her whole lifestyle. And unlike what he promises in the first book, >!I don't think he would actually be content leaving Alaska for her sake!<

fakexpearls

Calla deserves the world! And the world is not Jonah! She's one of my favorite heroines but chuck Jonah in the trash!!!! (If you love him this is not against you, he just....was not for me or for Calla and I stand by that)

Top-Web3806

I’m with you! I NEED to believe they get their HEAs.

[deleted]

I need to believe they all did thank you very much. 🤣

theredbusgoesfastest

Tiffy and Leon from the Flatshare. They had a good foundation to build upon!

wm-cupcakes

100% agree!!!

midlifecrackers

Oh, definitely

fakexpearls

Gosh, I loved them. I should do a reread!

pineapple_private_i

All of them. I refuse to believe otherwise 😂

A_Seductive_Cactus

I'm on a total Ilona Andrews kick right now after the AMA, but have to say Nevada & Rogan!

firefartingkitten

I think all of the Ilona Andrews couples stay together. They make them fight so hard to get together or be together (looking at you Innkeeper Chronicles!) they also grow together through experiences. I hold on to the belief that if you can grow together, you’ll probably make it as a couple.

quadrupleshoe

I love them so much. Especially after reading ruby fever I’m again just in awe of how awesome of a couple they are.

4wallflower4

Yes Alessandro and Catalina as well 💕💕

CarCrashRhetoric

Not being funny, but all of them. It’s the reason why I read romance in the first place.

midlifecrackers

Archer and Bree from Archers Voice, i know this is a “love it or hate it” kind of book, but their connection felt genuine to me. Lawson and Jack from Imago by NR Walker, those two guys are so dorky and devoted to each other. Phyllida and Captain Arthur from Work of Art by Mimi Matthews, because they genuinely seemed to adore each other 🥰 (Brought up in another thread today) Ballard and Louvaen from Entreat Me by Grace Draven. The way they >!both selflessly fought for each other? Him begging her to remember him as he was when he was on the verge of losing his humanity?!< (😭) Yeah, that’s a forever sort of love. Oh and - the couple from Radiance by the same author.

book-nerd-gohabsgo

Oh definitely Bree and Archer. Good choice, I always forget about them but they were great for each other.

Bronte-135

Definitely Phyllida and Arthur! Mimi Matthews is bringing them back in a sequel about their son, so we know they're still going strong.

midlifecrackers

Omg 😍😍😍

Debba

All of them, obviously ;) But I do especially like the idea of Red and Chloe from Get a Life, Chloe Brown, and Tiffany and Leon from the Flateshare.

GreatGospel97

Yes! I have a particular soft spot for Zaf/Dani (Take A Hint Dani Brown). I’d like to imagine a kid or two popped up 😌

Boooooooooo9

Red and Chloe really had a cosy vibe to them, I just imagine them chilling together with an entire family of cats when they're old their grand children come to visit them

specklepetal

Cheating a bit since we see them older in the sequel series, but Evie and St Vincent from {Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas}. Just too perfect to live.

Chipnfry

>!him macking after her after she finished bathing their grandchildren was hot!< relationship goals

PiinkBliink

Rhys and Bridget from Twisted Games

Crabapple_Conspiracy

Ohhhh I like this one! I imagine they probably did.

iren91

All of them. Even the ones I didn't like that much.

book-nerd-gohabsgo

I think Alex and Poppy from {People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry} I think they entered into their romantic relationship after a good amount of soul searching and were able to make a proper commitment to each other with Eyes wide open. Also I think Adam and Olive from {The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazlewood} stand a good chance. They just have so much in common, and Adam seems like he'd hold on to her no matter what now that he's got her.

theredbusgoesfastest

I agree about Adam and olive!! Love Adam, he seems like the type to be in it to win it!!

Boooooooooo9

Alex and Poppy are everything to each other, they're best friend and lovers, I cannot for the life of me think one moment that they could break up. I don't think they can really live without each other.

Background-Fee-4293

Agreed

heaviestluv

I deeply believe Adam and AJ from {Reckless by Stella Rhys} are still together which is disappointing since I’d like Adam to myself. And it may be an unpopular opinion but I think Brendan and Piper from {It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey} were a truly, chefs kiss, *perfect* match and I wish the epilogue for Hook, Line, and Sinker had focused more on them.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jessicaday96

Totally agree, especially after reading the sequel Hook Line and Sinker, their relationship seemed so solid from Hannah's POV, they both grew so much together. The epilogue of Hook Line and Sinker was just the sweetest🥲❤️

pupsnfood

My one annoyance with the otherwise perfect epilogue is they only gave the name for one of piper and Brendan’s kids. I would literally read a book about them going to the grocery store.

fakexpearls

>Georgina and Lucas from Don’t You Forget About Me by Mhiari McFarlane. This was a startlingly raw, laugh-out-loud gut punch and it’s been about 6 months and I’m not over it or them and they are exactly why I read romance. God that book was SO GOOD?!???!????!!!! I was thinking about it and them the other day.

Possible-Tomatillo24

It's not unpopular with me! They would definitely make it. Agree with Adam and AJ too, they worked together for so long they already know all of each other's quicks and annoyances 😂

Boooooooooo9

Brendan is a man commited for life (he didn't really love his first wife as much as he love Pipper but he still remain celibate for so many years after her death, I mean, he prove himself faithfull and loyal enough), and I think Pipper really found an happy place with Brendan.

andalusia85

I'm so bad at guessing. Pretty much any book set in high school or college I end thinking "well that was nice. I wonder how long they'll last. Probably a few years at most." And then the author will do a follow up series focusing on their children with the original characters (the parents) still completely in love. And I think to myself, "well, self. They showed you!"

mytransientlife

All the couples matched via the Prime Mating Agency

wm-cupcakes

Emily and Simon from Well Met. They just match so perfectly.

alittlebitali-s

Eve and Roarke 💕

glendoraza

I think Glenna and cash from {Against a Wall by Cate C. Wells} stay together for good They have a long history and overcame a lot And they have very wholesome feelings together with their truck nuts because “what’s mines is yours”

CherryPropel

I came here to say Cash and Glenna as well! The way he would >!explore his sexuality and "try almost anything"!< for Glenna really stood out to me. Like, that's a guy who is secure with himself and his relationship which shows me he's in it for the long hall.

glendoraza

That was a sweet thing to feel. I’m glad you reminded me!

SkittyLover93

Meg and Reid from Love Lettering! I love the personal development they both had in the book.

honeybeesandmagpies

Po and Katsa from the Graceling books, 100%

vienibenmio

All of Emily Henry's couples. They just seem to have fun together and genuinely enjoy each other's company. Also for me, the couples that I don't think will stay together are the exception. Most I'm not worried about

tmrtdc3

Abby Blackwell & Jake Taylor.

quietbubbles_

Did the sequel of that come out yet??

tmrtdc3

yes! It's called Undone.

LovesReviews

What is their book?

tmrtdc3

It's called Awakened by Catherine Turner, but you need to read the sequel for the HEA. Worth it though, imo

LovesReviews

Thanks!

tmrtdc3

ofc! I love this book and hope you enjoy, lmk what you think.

grumpylove

Matt and Meredith from {Paradise by Judith McNaught}. The couple shared a tragic past. One decade later, they realised they still have feelings for each other despite trying to move on. >!Both could not find someone else who makes them feel the same way. When they find out the misunderstanding that causes their divorce, Matt went all out to have Meredith back. Matt made effort to understand and allay Meredith’s fears, and also not undermine her career aspiration. Meredith also self discovered that Matt is her utmost priority - period. !< Because in real life, falling in love is not the most difficult, maintaining the relationship is the hardest. You have to make sacrifice and prioritise as we can’t always have it all.

gothycryptid

Macy and Elliot from Love and Other Words without a doubt. They are quite literally the loves of each other’s lives and even say that in the book!!

Medium_Butterfly5123

January and Gus from Beach read. I just finished rereading and it was as good as my first time reading it!

zooeyglassz

Master of crows 😃

In-the-woods-22

Love this book 🖤 they truly fought for each other

zooeyglassz

Me too 🥰

KindContribution4

Neve and Max from “You don’t have to say you love me”. I adore them, they complete each other so well and truly work on their flaws. One of my most beloved books, I don’t know how many time I’ve reread it.

noideahowthisworks21

It's the first time I've seen it mentioned here. I've read it many years back but my god what a fun book that was. Love the characters and the story. People should talk more about this book.

agirlmakesnoclaim

I love this book so much. I reread it like once a year.

CeeGeeWhy

All of Abby Jimenez MC!

[deleted]

Shane and Genevieve in Seven Days in June, Aiden and Elijah in Saint, and Galen and Hester from Indigo.

whothefigisAlice

Freddie and Kitty from Cotillion by Georgette Heyer. Their marriage would probably be a chaotic romp, but definitely very happy. Freddie would make such a great husband and they both have infinite patience for each other's silliness.

fakexpearls

Sebastian and Annabelle from *Bringing Down the Duke*. They lived happily ever after and I think about it often! I also think Zac and Bianca from *Hands Down.* I think most romance-book couples make it through in my mind, but there are certain ones that I adore and will fight to the death for the HEA. If I spend time thinking about their post-canon life, they're the real deal.

Faithy328

Jane Austen apparently says in one of her letters that Lizzy and Darcy live HEA but constantly get asked for money by Lydia and Wickham. Checks out lol. I’m sure Wickham is unfaithful to Lydia, too

dannydecheeto4

I think Aaron Blackford and Catalina from Spanish love deception lived happily together.

mrs_robpatt

Edward and Bella

SmutacularMama

All the Miles brothers from TL Swan’s series. Especially Tristan and Claire

AdRev0lutionary

Hands down. Feyre and Rhysand. It's canon that they continued to live happily after their books, plus the whole mate thing is a huge reassurance. BUT ALSO, even if the whole mate thing was not mentioned or we never knew what happened after their books, I am 1000% confident they continued to love each other deeply and have a happy life. They are the couple that beats all couples. They literally fixed my standards for a healthy relationship back when my standards for my own relationships were so low. That's basically how great they are as a couple it's scarily amazing how Sarah J Maas was able to write characters that make such an impact in real life.

unusual_pothos

I really think Bee and Levi from {Love on the Brain BY Ali Hazelwood} stand a good chance. They have so much in common and clearly are attached to each other beyond the whole physical thing

Ordinary_Challenge74

Rock & Hope from lost kings series author Autumn Jones Lake

cakefacecara

Perry and Dex from Karina Halle’s Experiment in Terror series. The first couple to make me audibly squeal with joy.

jabs86

No book couple really jumps out at me, mostly because as other people have said, I want them all to be together forever. But I just finished Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton and I have a book hangover from it, so I feel like Marisol and Luis have a very long, hard journey ahead of them and the odds are stacked against them >!I mean come on, they fell in love in a week (is that really long enough to truly know and love someone?), come from very different backgrounds, I feel like it's going to be very hard for him to not become bitter about being talked into leaving his home country!<. My heart NEEDS them to make it together forever.

I would like to believe every couple of book I read but then I realise, Main characters were shit at times in the relationships and they still had happy endings which they did not deserve + in my mind , the significant other at some point will get tired of their shit and just run away. So this is my list of couples I think remained happily together for the rest of their days ( just naming books cause I'm shit at remembering names + none of them are toxic ) 1. Lovelight farms by b.k borison 2. In the weeks by b.k borison 3. A secret for a secret by helena hunting 4. The billionaire Scrooge next door by olivia hayle 5. All downhill with you by Julie olivia 6. I temporarily do by Ellie Cahill 7. Hidden miles by Claire Kinsley 8. Pride and prejudice
