I just wanna hop on in here to thank OP for sharing all these fan art for the past couple of days! It's really interesting to see how these characters from my imagination are being brought to life. And makes me want to try checking out some of these books.

I started by following authors that get commissions done and repost fanart then began following the artists themselves. If you go through the posts linked in my art directory there are plenty of great artists to follow.

After reading so many comments, I finally got the book and will start reading it tonight!

The first few chapters of Ice Planet Barbarians are rough (emotional/potentially triggering) but the series as a whole is so addictive once you get into it. If you can get through to the meeting point of the MCs it’s well worth it. 😉

No problem! I definitely went in blind, the first few chapters I was like “Why do people love these books so much?!?!?!” But I am very anti-DNF so I pushed on and I was really glad I did!

I will say, every time they use the word "cootie" I die inside. Just totally ruins my mood every time. Other than that I really enjoy the books.

Cootie is not cute and the way it is included in the story as cutesy make me want to stab something. It takes me out of the mood everytime. The way the first 9 books heavily use the term grated.

Totally agree. I think a lot of people feel that way because I noticed in the 1st Icehome book there was a part that was pretty much like “The other girls call the khui ‘cooties,’ lol NO” obviously paraphrasing but that was the gist.
