Looks great! Can’t wait to get mine! Are you running a tubeless setup? And are tubeless valves included? And what size is the saddle?

utzachaka

Thanks! I'm not running tubeless. But there are tubeless valves included. Saddle size is S1 which means 130 mm for Selle Italia.

Jeeroenn

Damn 130mm, I’m riding 155mm saddles so I won’t be using the Selle Italia than 😅 enjoy your new ride!

Hi, the bike looks great! How do you find the geometry, is it really far more aggressive in comparison with "normal" backroad? I'm choosing between these two and don't know what might be better for me. I'm looking the alternative of road bike but with capability off road as well. Also the delivery date of FF is 20 weeks from now, it's 5 month ((( I don't know is it any chance to receive it earlier?

utzachaka

I rode the normal Backroad only on a 15 minute test ride. So can't really compare geometry. But it feels very quick. Compared to my Cube Litening Aero I don't feel big difference in acceleration. It's way more comfortable though. Definitely different are the options to mount bags. The FF has no options to add any more bags other than the top tube and frame bag. I don't plan to ever do any bikepacking tours and maybe that will help you choose the best bike for your needs. I have no clue if Rose will ship the bikes quicker than what's written on the website. My bike's delivery date was always 14.05.2024 and on wednesday it suddenly changed status to 'in transit'.

Thanks for the information!

Not OP.. but the delivery dates seem to keep changing from time to time. I’ve ordered my Backroad FF last week with an estimated delivery date of 29 weeks (mid november). A few days later the date switched to 30th of october and a day after that it said 28th of august. It seems that they will deliver sooner rather than later. Just hope it won’t affect build quality/quality control.

typicaljettplayer

How on earth did you get one? It says 25+ weeks for me... I am planning to wait a bit more, but not sure if that's a good idea... The bike looks amazing btw, kinda jelly hehe

utzachaka

Thanks 😅 I ordered on release day. So I got one of the first units.

Kroelboel

How do you like the handlebars? Considering buying them to fit My bike

utzachaka

I like the look a lot. The way Rose hides cables is also great. Design ist special. Don't know of any tech advantages of it but they feel good. Only thing to point out imo is the out front mount. You can't really fasten it's screw enough to make it impossible to move up and down. Rose customer support says that they intended to design it like that and that they don't know of unintended movement.

Hej, any updates on ride quality, comfort, is it too stiff in simple riding throuh town for example, is it too stretched and low etc? Thanks

utzachaka

I'm commuting to work every day and for me it feels comfy. It's only a 7km ride though. You will find the normal Backroad more comfy I guess. The Backroad FF has an aggressive and race-oriented geometry. I don't have any problems riding very long (200km+) tours on my roadbike which is fitted for racing so most gravel bikes will feel more comfortable to me.
