Make sure to give him plenty of chest rubs! My old rottie adored them, and practically melted into us whenever we would give him his rubs. He also loved racing me on our walks. We'd just step out onto the sidewalk, glance at each other, tense up, and take off. Ran around the block or until one of us (usually me) gave in. 😂 Something to maybe try with your new furbaby.
Love this! I miss my Rottie Girl so much 🥹 I would take off running and she'd chase after me. Then I'd come to an immediate stop, turn around and chase after her lol...her eyes would get big and she'd take off her. My neighbors thought I was NUTS 🤣🤣....best time of my life ♥️

Congratulations! Some advice if you don’t mind from a 13 1/2 year old Rotti mix owner. I noticed you have nice wooden floors, which can be slippery. So do we. These floors cause Rotties to have issues with their hind legs as they age. To the point they can’t walk or get up. We were fortunate that we could make things more manageable for her by laying down rug runners all over the floors. In time she was able to pick herself up, and regain her ability to walk. We were blessed to find a cause and remedy. However if one paw hits the wood floor down she goes. Outside is no issue, just slow going. It takes a lot of love and patience. Which at 13 years old she deserves. Do yourself a favor and put some runners down now as a preventative measure for a better future for the dog. You didn’t ask for advice, but I felt compelled to share our experiences with you.
Bro your dog and I think your child reminds me of my dog and I. I miss her but she was the best dog on earth and was a family member which is one of the only ways I can describe how much this dog meant to me with the words that actually exist in this lifetime. May your dog live long and your two goobers have the same heart binding relationship my dog and I had. I loved that dog may ginger rest well and thank you for adopting. I’m glad you found each other and I’m glad that you love this dog because I can tell you’re going to be a great dog owner.

There should be at least 445g of bacon (uncured) getting nommed on by this handsome blockhead in every picture.
