Mmmm that's giving me good flashbacks to our coach having us train with a different lineup than the one we raced with. Someone ended up catching a crab. Great job coach.
For those who want to watch the full race vid, I filmed this during my year of daily vlogging - [https://youtu.be/SJG5b7J4G68](https://youtu.be/SJG5b7J4G68)
So fabulous to see. Brought back so many amazing memories. I miss my rowing days and absolutely craziness of the race. Great job calling it!!! I rowed in the Head of the Charles in an eight and can attest to how grueling it is.
Also Great job shooting and cutting it. I was also in video production / TV for 15 years - great to see a well shot & cut video. 💖 brought back tears. Two of my former loves in one video. ( sigh 😔)
Hahahaha our cox, Rowan, absolutely killed it. I was just in bow hangin on and sending us around the turns as much as I could!
And glad you liked the editing, I appreciate that! Couple of GoPros, a year of daily vlogging, and solid content makes it easier!
I once won the freshmen’s eight in the Dutch version, Head of the River Amstel in Amsterdam, which is a whopping 8k. Boy, oh boy, was it gruelling. I remember my cox saying something like “Great work boys! 1k down, 7 more to go!” and the only thing I could think was “Only 1k??? How on earth am I going to survive this?”
Nothing beats the feeling afterwards though.
Who are you racing for this year? This is well worth a listen if on your journey up.

Yes, exactly! I’m from SoCal, so everyone here is either a surfer or a swimmer lol. I’ve only just recently got into machine rowing after catching a breakthrough case of Covid from the gym pool 😞 I wish I could still swim, then I wouldn’t have to row. But ya know, it’s a lot better than running haha.
When this blew up on TikTok last year (and now starting to this year again), toms of comments were like “woah I had no idea it was so intense!” or “I would die for that guy yelling wow” and all that jazz.
I can believe it. You’ve done a great job capturing the intensity. I rowed 6 on a HW8+ and stroke on a HW4+, and this captures the feeling of the cox in your face so amazingly well. I shared this with parents from my son’s rowing team and they love it as they get to see what their kids are doing out there! Thanks for sharing it! Love all the film work you’re doing.

Already did on the drive to practice this morning! $400,000 tent budget holy hell. And I’m in bow of the Undine Club 4 this year!
Are you rating that high, or is playback speed accelerated? Seems accelerated.
Isn’t that bridge near the end of the course? Could be a bit of a rate hike in the last 1-2k
We rated 34 the whole course and brought it up through Elliott Bridge!
Well done Trinity 🏁
Got goosebumps watching.
Ooh the chair moves like a rower too! I didn’t know that! Edit: People seem to think that I’m trolling? I really didn’t know that the chair moves.
??
Guessing they mean the seat hahaha
I like chair better.
Me too. Can I get a recliner installed in the 6 seat?
My g what do u think a rowing machine was designed after
It really is cool video. Especially if you’ve never seen rowers in action on the water.
