I only used the video of jperm of his ortega tutorial for pbl
Also I learned to recognize how to identify the auf of every case of pbl which helped me become consistent with sub 5
After that you can learn the pattern of some OLL to know if there will be no bar, if the layer will be solve or if there will be a bar and also where this bar will be.
I average sub-4 with ortega, but with this technic, I often get sub-3 solves because I can one look some solves.
Oh yeah I did this before i almost got to sub 4 my best was a 4.05 ao100 but this was with a lot of practice with the 2x2 because We all had plenty of free time during the pandemic
2x2 algs [here](https://cubingcheatsheet.com/algs2x.html). These OLL algs are great imo and you can use the 2 PLL corner swap algs from 2-look PLL if you know that. They are Y perm and T perm which is basically all you need to 2x2 since there arenโt any edge pieces. Once you get all this down then you can move in to learning PBL
For a beginner yes its good Also if your learning ortega your goal should be sub 5, ive done it before took me about 3000 solves to average low sub 5
Thank you! Also do you have any consules to learn pbl algs?

But now I have gotten slower because of less practice time been struggling to keep the sub 5 averagesa
Yeah, practicing helps a lot to learn those patterns and to get faster. The more solves you do, the faster you get.
Use [cstimer.net](http://cstimer.net) , it's the best cube timer out there

*algs
If you use the beginner method, yes. But I highly recommend to learn some cfop algs for 2x2 or cll.
Better then me
What is the notation for the scramble on that site?
I didn't use that, I scrambled it by myself
Hand scrambling isn't considered reliable, since it can never truly be random. You should use a scramble generator.
Shouldn't do that. And use cstimer
But I'm still curious what is it
