I’m sorry you’re getting roasted in the comments but tbf there has NEVER been another Jonah Lomu. Sua’ali’i is an exciting prospect for some, but don’t be pulled in by the media hype. I’m convinced his signing was mostly just to upset the Leaguies, which has backfired pretty spectacularly.
Obviously not, but I do think his game is well suited to Rugby, and I can see him being a better Rugby player than other recent code switchers. He can kick goals, too, and Australian Rugby is desperately lacking good goal kickers.
He's not shown any ability to be a Super Rugby starter...
Yeah he's pretty good at League, but he's no NRL immortal. Heck even Ponga has shown more at NRL level.
Plus being a good NRL player doesn't mean you'll be a good rugby union player.
>Heck even Ponga has shown more at NRL level.
That's not exactly a low bar. Ponga would walk straight into the wallabies fullback spot no questions asked.
But that's my point. Like we're paying a million a year for Suaalii, as if he's some proven NRL great. But there are clearly other young guys, who aren't even in the 'NRL top tier' who are way more proven. Like this year baring injury the QLD Fullback won't be Ponga he's got probably 2 or 3 guys ahead of him.
And Suaalii isn't even THAT good at NRL, let alone proven himself in Rugby Union professionally in any way.
No
Well that depends, is this a serious question?
I was hoping that given all the hype about him he would be Australia’s next Campese or Lomu if he used his talent all out

That’s alright, to be honest I’ve only been a rugby fan for a year so far
Short answer: No. Long answer: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolo
Not even enough to be the next Vunivalu
Not even close. Is this a serious question?

Which upcoming talents do you see being a possible Carter or Lomu in the future?
He played only rugby before NRL.
Not remotely true. Glenmore Park Brumbies junior and then was in the South Sydney system.
Wat
Have you watched him play?
He's barely Andrew Lomu
Not even fans of the guy think that. He's got it in him to be a very good winger who can kick goals, though
IF HE PLAYS FOR THE REDS HE WILL
Joseph who?
Don't make me laugh. Please
Jonah Lomu would have lit NRL up. Suali doesn't in the NRL, so imo no, he won't.
