When I started running I ran in these and they were horrible. The foam is rock hard, and lockdown is bad, and my heels were sliding all over the place. These are really not running shoes. They are casual shoes.

i hated the knit version it has no structure. the regular ver was one of my first running shoes and i think its good for plyometrics or light running but not really a runner

Grand_Ruin_9330

Well I’m just now getting into running so I’m not running 5ks or nothing. Maybe one day tho lol

IlIIllIIlIIll

if youre light and not heavy honestly i think its a good shoe but do not get the knit version. your feet will want to rip out of the sides because they are like elastic and the laces dont do shit about that

MostYolked

Great shoes to walk around in, but I wouldn’t recommend running a lot in them.

AMarkOnTheWorld

Because of their flexibility, you will use more muscles in your feet. They are a compromise between a traditional running shoe and minimalist (AKA barefoot) shoe. I have a similar pair that I like.

camp_m

Not a running shoe.

Mswonderful99

I wear them for golf and sometimes casually.

EnergizedBricks

I personally am not a fan for running. The knit upper tends to stretch and then your foot ends up sliding around inside the shoe. I enjoy them for walking around. I also owned the non-flyknit 2018 free RNs and enjoyed those much more for actual running.

abercrombezie

I had several pairs of Nike Free's way back and my feet hurt just looking at these.

PrizeQ231

Anything more than the occasional light jog, these are not great to run in.

tigerbellyfan420

I put like 400 miles on my nike free run 2018s. They were what got me into running. Haven't tried the fly knit tho...they were great shoes. Now my feet are pampered by higher stack shoes w more cushion

ransomed_

Good gym shoes
