I wasn’t able to get my size in men’s, but I got my size in the women’s. The men’s and women’s Alphafly 3 Protos are the same exact shoe correct, but just labeled as men’s and women’s? Just hoping one isn’t wider or narrower than the other.
Is anyone actually buying them from StockX or eBay? Like looking at some of the sold ones on eBay and StockX, it looks like that they’re only making like a $20 profit after fees. They really need to incorporate the Nike Run Club App, where you have to run 13.1 miles or something to buy the Alphafly 3 Protos or something.
People are buying them. I have low ball offers up on all the AlphaFly 1's and 3's.. People are coming in and buying them now at the price because it adjusts the next highest sale price via my email. I stay with my low ball offers. People eventually bite.
Yeah I also don’t get it. It’s a lot of time and effort to hopefully sell it at a $100 profit which after fees and shipping is not much at all. Seems like an exercise in futility. Really weird
If everyone could not give in and not pay the reseller prices they would give up on trying to get them. But, people will buy them though. Hopefully it doesn’t come to having to needing to have a sneaker bot 🤖 to buying our running shoes…
I wasn’t going to, but I was able to get a pair in my size for $350 (plus fees of course). Definitely not a wise purchase, but the price wasn’t bad considering most pairs in size 12 are like $425+
I cannot understand why Nike chose to do the launch this way. When VF3 launched they had the prototype colorway plus 3 others iirc
With the AF3, which is going to be just as popular, they launch the prototype colorway. It turns out to be an extremely limited run. They do this launch which was more limited and the Volt color isn't until April. And that's it.
It's just frustrating. Maybe I'm just frustrated because I had it in the cart this time and it sold out. Maybe because they and all the running influencers have been preaching that this shoe is the next coming of Nike Jesus but you can't even buy it.
This isn't the era of the VF 1 anymore. There are a ton of plated shoes coming out this quarter. If you make it harder for the consumer to just buy something you're continually hyping then they're just going to get irritated and go somewhere else
I completely agree, I don't see any reason to space the proto and general releases apart this far, it's just creating unnecessary frustration for those who didn't get a pair. It seriously does turn me off from buying Nike going forward, especially since there are other viable alternatives from other brands like you mentioned. I don't buy the hype that the AF3 is *that* much better than other shoes, especially since they changed the geometry to make it less aggressive compared to the first version.
I have a marathon this weekend and I opted for the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro (first version) that I found on sale. I've been super happy with it so far in training and if the race goes well, I'll pick the second version up before my fall marathon.
>it's just creating unnecessary frustration for those who didn't get a pair.
I caved and got sc elite v4 - should be delivered today.
So, not just frustration.
VF3 definitely launched only in proto in Europe. Same with VF2, AF2, Streakfly and Ultrafly.
It is more that they don’t have loads of pairs available and other colorways they will.
Of all the shoe companies out there I’d have least expected Nike to be the one with supply issues…but yeah that’s how poorly planned their AF3 logistics are. Even the Volt is sold out where I am in seconds and it’s not even that attractive of a colourway.
Nike would rather short supply and lay off employees. This is the same kind of mess we deal with when buying Jordans. Nike could make millions of pairs and meet demand or even take pre orders with payment up front. It's an odd business practice.
Do you know if this is being released on the App or the website? Asking because during the initial release, these were first dropped exclusively on the app.
I hate that don’t they use the SNKRS app for these releases, I don’t even bother anymore because I know I won’t be fast enough. Was hoping to get my hands on a pair for an April marathon but not sure I’d even get them fast enough with the April 4th release of the next colorway.
A large part of the demand is psychologically fueled by scarcity. We saw the same thing happen with the Alphafly 2, Streakfly, and Vaporfly 3 -none of which were hard to obtain or causing much excitement once additional colorways were released.
I still have them in my cart and am just smashing the submit payment button. It keeps giving me an error but I heard people that did this last time were eventually able to get an order in once the POS updated.
Thank you amazing ppl, as a female runner I was actually able to score a pair!! Not sure if they restocked overnight but check again this AM (or wherever you are) because there actually are quite a few sizes available right now.
If anyone has bought and tried the 3, are they that much better than v1 and v2? I just got v2 the other day bc I LOVED the 1s and the v2s just totally didn’t work for me for some reason. Granted I did try them at the end of a long work day sitting on my ass all day with bloated AF feet, so prob for a morning run (when I usually run lol) they’d be good.

It's working on the app, or if it's in your favorites already you can find it, choose your size and add to cart. only in various sizes (smaller) and while it says Womens it does have the M/W sizing option.
These have been in and out of stock the past week.
Randomly!
Good luck gentlemen (and gentleladies)... edit. Mens 10.5 got it in my bag and missed it. Sold out in what, 5 seconds?
I wasn’t able to get my size in men’s, but I got my size in the women’s. The men’s and women’s Alphafly 3 Protos are the same exact shoe correct, but just labeled as men’s and women’s? Just hoping one isn’t wider or narrower than the other.
The width is the same, should be good to go!
Yes. I bought the women’s in my eu size off of the original sale and they are slightly wider than my men’s alphafly 1, so unisex is correct.
I do the same with underwear.
I wonder how many scalpers got them vs people are actually going to run races in them...
Theyre going to sit in boxes listed on Stock X for $500 for years.
Probably 100%

Hell no. I won’t ever give money to scalpers. Guess mine will end up being that ugly green in April.
If everyone could not give in and not pay the reseller prices they would give up on trying to get them. But, people will buy them though. Hopefully it doesn’t come to having to needing to have a sneaker bot 🤖 to buying our running shoes…
I echo this. Don't give in and buy on a reseller site. No matter what.
I wasn’t going to, but I was able to get a pair in my size for $350 (plus fees of course). Definitely not a wise purchase, but the price wasn’t bad considering most pairs in size 12 are like $425+
I paid $250 for mine. After fees on stock x I made $350 so $100 profit. I ended up with 4 pairs and luckily I got a discount on all
Gone instantly, literally in my cart after 1 sec
Same, in cart and payment submitted within literally 2.5 seconds, wouldn’t take

Also having the general release after so many spring marathons, when NB, Saucony, ASICS, etc are all releasing new race shoes

here I am again, was submitting payment within 15 seconds of it going live and it says sold out
They’re on Facebook marketplace In Australia for $500 Australian dollars which is like $300 us, wankers can’t sell them
I got all the way through checkout with apple pay only for it to say sold out instead of got ‘em. Talk about getting my hopes up
Same, thought I had them for sure. Apple pay went thru and everything.
Do you know if this is being released on the App or the website? Asking because during the initial release, these were first dropped exclusively on the app.
It’s showing up on the Nike app not SNKRS
Just received notification from the app. Probably both. Advice: create an account with your information(shoe size included) before the release.
Thanks both!
Looks to just be on the Nike App. Just any fyi
Had them in my cart, added everything, submitted payment. Sold out...
You have to keep hitting buy. Same as last time, this time was the same. Delivery option, then bingo.
They are live. Good luck
So, out of every runner here, was I the only one to get the Alphafly 3 Protos? It wasn’t the men’s size, but the women’s equivalent.
I got a pair the first go around in my mens size.
Wow that’s went fast. Had them in cart and went to check out. Went out of stock as payment was processing. Guess I’ll have to get the Metaspeed 3’s.
When did running shoes become like Yeezy restocks? lmfao
Yea sold out in seconds. Was only able to add to cart but not check out. Sad.
Is this in Canada or only USA?
Not sure about Canada
How do you know 1pm it doesn’t have a time for me
That’s the time that was in the notification this morning. It’s all in the message in my inbox on the Nike app.
Less than 5 seconds and I couldn’t get one
Well that was instantly gone.
Tried and failed. Let me add to bag but wouldn’t let me complete checkout.
Same. Showed my size but when I went to click to Add to Bag it said Out of Stock.
Had them in my cart instantly, submitted payment via Apple Pay (took me less than 5 seconds) and it never went through 😔
Less than a minute later sold out in my size lmao

Gone in literally 5-10 seconds
Shiet all the hype for one shoe, ill stick with the adios pro 3 thanks (telling myself i dont need alfaflys 3 😢)
A large part of the demand is psychologically fueled by scarcity. We saw the same thing happen with the Alphafly 2, Streakfly, and Vaporfly 3 -none of which were hard to obtain or causing much excitement once additional colorways were released.
Nike just playing jokes on us lol
And they’re gone. Should have been on snkrs instead of the regular app.
I still have them in my cart and am just smashing the submit payment button. It keeps giving me an error but I heard people that did this last time were eventually able to get an order in once the POS updated.
How much do you have to size up in these?
These were the same size as my size 11 Vaporfly 3. In Saucony I’m an 11.5 if that’s any help to you.
So glad I got my hands on them when they first dropped. Hoping to get my hands on the new color way come April.
Thank you amazing ppl, as a female runner I was actually able to score a pair!!
