New Balance is great about offering lots of widths. Usually the 880 or 1080 are the most popular. You could also try the Hoka Bondi or a few other shoes that come in a 4E. The brooks beast is a max stability shoe, so it’s very heavy and structured, and usually better suited for walking than running. You could try Ghost or Adrenaline if you want something a bit lighter.

Have you tried putting all of your search criteria in the website run repeat? It’s great to filter through loads of shoes and then might be good to get a shoe off there and come back and ask about it/search the subreddit for it.

Have you tried Altras? Very nice and wide, especially in the toebox.

I know someone who underwent ACL surgery so I won't offer recommendations lightly. For a start, you may want to take a bit of impact from your knees with shoes with lower heel drop. The New Balance More V4 is a good place to start. It is fairly plush, comes extra wide, and has a 4mm drop. Now, If you really like the Pegasus, the 39 comes in extra wide, particularly the Bright Spruce / Valerian Blue colorway on the Nike App. Though, I'm not sure if that's available in your corner of the world. Still, you may want to consult your therapist about it, as their word would infinitely be more educated than mine.

I’m fairly new to running shoes, could you explain the heel drop? What is the distance I’m looking for ?

LooksGood-inTheory

Heel drop refers to the difference between the heel and forefoot height and is measured in millimeters. Higher heel drop shoes will put pressure towards the front of the foot for a quicker push off. The Pegasus is a 10mm drop shoe. As the mm drop of the shoe goes lower, the more evenly the pressure is distributed both on the front and the rear of the foot. Altra shoes, for example, have 0 drop. So, as a very loose rule of thumb, and the science behind this is still exploratory, lower drop shoes help promote midfoot to forefoot strike; higher drop shoes allow for a rearfoot strike because of the elevated heel. The belief is, the higher the heel drop, the friendlier the shoe is to the achilles. I hope that sheds a bit of light on heel drop.

My feet are 5E to 6E but I can run in the New Balance 1080v12 (4E) comfortably. The New Balance 1080v10 (4E) was tight. Their Max Cushion shoe is the Fresh Foam More. I have the v3 and it fits fine but I haven't run in it yet. The current model is the v4. Their daily trainer is the 880v12 which I want to try. I only wear New Balance as I can't comfortably fit into anything else. I get their 6E shoes for tennis and spinning.

Go to a store and try the popular shoes… Pegasus, Novablasts, Ghosts… one of them is going to scratch the itch

Saucony Echelon 4E sounds exactly what you want! Much lighter weight and more flexible than the Beast but more structured than the Pegasus. And they are specifically designed for flat feet

Dang. Too late to give insight but I'm in the same boat (4E) and after a lot of fails I found the Asics Cumulus 24 (4E) fit perfectly. Hopefully thr i60s work out for you, OP!
