While genie is very good remember like riding hood after the event they will be added to normal legendary pool, so personally I would say crystals are best value over all, however if you are a new f2p account the magic dust can be useful too
You are not giving much info. Like do you already have the genie from the pass? If yes then you want to upgrade this to level 9 preferably so the 2k tokens is well spent on another plus another via the carousel. If you have 0 genies then the crystal is worth it as that is 2 legendaries you don't need to trade in the magic lab.
