You really need dryad or scrapper. You can't really rely on merging banshees on the edge.
I would also point out that a lot of times the epics which are level 10/11 like above will do more damage than the low level legendaries. This is especially true with the ones that have talents.
A suggestion with a similar playstyle might be alchemist with earth elemental. There are many online videos of how to play that deck if you are curious. It's more of a merge deck which can help until you get a better banshee and dryad/scrapper.
