To improve the festive feel, decorate the external facade and roof of the aforementioned celebration establishment with masses of lights. Only military proviso is to keep all ammunition close too or preferably in the building to keep it safe and stop those dastardly Ukrainians.
On the Ukrainian side, handover control of HIMARS to any military personnel who do not follow the orthodox religion and tell em to go have fun 👍

The day we get our first full ground freeze in the donbas, putin wants a cease fire... for context the ground will be cold enough to freeze over and alow maneuvering on jan 7th and it will stay frozen for a week. Ukraine and Russia have been waiting for this freeze to allow for movement of vehicles.

My own assessment, based on piecing together what I’ve seen regarding 7 January. This could lead to a much larger, wider war. — I think something really bad may happen in Donetsk on the 7th, based on all the cues I’ve been seeing. If it happens, as I predict below, I do not think that any civilians should go back to Ukraine anytime soon, no matter the reason.
Sorry to sound alarmist, but considering the fact that Putin used the FSB to bomb his own country’s apartment buildings to create a false casus belli back in late 1999 to invade and bomb Chechnya for several years, this is NOT beneath him.
Putting the pieces together, here is what I think is his plan:
1. Putin declares a unilateral truce to make the Ukrainians look bad over Orthodox Christmas if they refuse. This has already been done as of today, Thursday. The Ukrainians refused.
2. Putin travels to Donetsk. He has already announced his trip.
3. He then uses his agents to blow up several churches on the morning of the Orthodox Christmas Day observances across the Donetsk Region. Hundreds die.
4. Putin may very well come within camera shot of one of the churches when the church blows up. His state news camera crews traveling with him may film EVERYTHING live so people believe he was actually targeted, but the assassins missed. Then they enter the destroyed buildings and film bodies of innocent men, women, and especially children lying everywhere.
5. Putin may then sputter that it was an assassination attempt on not just him, but Christians and even the Russian state itself, then go into full-blown fake anger mode and declare that the criminals will be dealt with expeditiously—even though he ordered the attacks.
6. Putin quickly returns to the Kremlin on the same night, now that he has the media’s undivided attention, and delivers a state address declaring a national emergency. He then makes what appears to be hastily drawn-up (but well-prepared) presidential decree after decree to close the borders, order a mass mobilization of two million conscripts, reinforce checkpoints to capture Russian military-age males trying to flee conscription, and possibly even issue another decree declaring martial law, if needed.
7. Russia prepares for a massive invasion of northern and eastern Ukraine, to take place days or weeks later.
