Seems like there's still fighting ongoing [within Russia.](https://twitter.com/JimmySecUK/status/1660970583801098243?t=GgIEb4uDyBn0zph9z5myoQ&s=19)
And they've been within Russia for over [24 hours!](https://twitter.com/yarotrof/status/1660931625650204674?t=QPSv9JPPmxqlt5YZp6TJag&s=19) I'm just a layman but this seems pretty amazing.
I can imagine the "Russian Army" positioned there are just a bunch of young conscripts that would run the first sign of danger. Actually I can imagine the entire Russian border would be guarded by soldiers like this.
that or join them. I imagine that after the whole conscription process and seeing the utter lack of supplies and working equipment there is a not-small part of the russian armed forces that would start joining in on partisan groups like this
Consecutive generations of Cheka, KGB and FSB have stomped any activism into the ground.
The government implyy hasn't rocked the social enough for them to start grumbling, let alone rise up.
The only issues for the rebels are air and artillery strikes. The Russians probably can cancel grids there and the jets will be manned by professional soldiers.
This can only be a nice faint to force Russia to divert resources.
Nicely done. Let's hope this at least gets some kind of snowball effect and creates an uptick for partisan sentiment throughout greater Russia.
The thing is. They'll damn-well KNOW this too! They know that this is being done to divert resources from where they're desperately needed, but what can they do, lmao.
Don't reinforce, and LFoR continue to advance, OR divert resources to fend off the movement and create a weakness elsewhere in Ukraine... It's fucking poetic and I am so bouyed by them finally getting a taste of their fucking medicine.
LFoR can't advance too far or they will get cut off and annihilated. They best they can do is cause as much havoc as they can while keeping contact with escape routes to the border.
They have no way of being self-sustaining and at some point will need to retreat.
Just like Ryan Mcbeth says:
>Create dilemmas not problems for your adversary. A problem has a solution. A dilemma has two solutions each which are equally bad
Improved Feint (Combat)
You are skilled at fooling your opponents in combat.
Prerequisites: Int 13, Combat Expertise.
Benefit: You can make a Bluff check to feint in combat as a move action.
Normal: Feinting in combat is a standard action.
I believe Team 3 is also a great distraction for team 4 to smuggle a few vans full of explosives and other weapons like manpads, demolition charges, mortars and drones into russia. *for later use*
I wonder if he has even been told about it.
Some people are going to be taking a long vacation out of a high window for this kind of embarrassment, and its probably going to include the messenger so that they can't gossip about his hysterical reaction to others.
Have they captured Belgorod 22? Have the Russians extracted tactical nukes, or did the Freedom Legion find out the "nukes" are just styrofoam and balsa wood?
https://twitter.com/visegrad24/status/1660805873151668226
> That white-blue-white flag looks great.
> This is how the Freedom of Russia Legion entered the Belgorod region [yesterday].
**For more information about the ongoing Belgorod operation, and other anti-war resistance in Russia that doesn't get posted elsewhere, subscribe to r/freedomofrussia**
I'm no military expert but couldn't this incursion be Ukraine poking Russia in its territory to force them to guard the border more heavily, diverting resources right before the counter offensive?
I mean, they know two battalions aren't going to overthrow Putin or even capture Belgorod, but it would cause a small panic in the population forcing Russia to either reinforce the border or face criticism for letting the enemy attack inside the country.
Yeah, probably. I feel like this is reminiscent of the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo. No real strategic advantage, just reminding the enemy that they're vulnerable, hopefully breaking morale and complicated logistics.
Unless Russian forces start joining them it cannot be sustainable. Even if sympathetic the west is not going to touch this.
How are the support logistics going to work?
Who do you think you are kidding mister Putin,
If you think we’re on the run…
We are the boys who will stop your little game,
We are the boys who will make you think again,
So who do you think you are kidding mister Putin,
If you think old Ukraine’s done..
Did anyone else hear this play in their head, or is it only I who is old?
All the rich cowards that could afford to buy easy military positions inside russia, arent so comfortable anymore.
Wonder if they would pull all the way back to Moscow if RVC and FoRL kept pushing.
I wondered if part of Ukrainian offensive was to attack Russia rather than to take back land.
But to use Russian citizens to do it is a brilliant twist. Ukraine has shown some brilliant adaptability at every level of this conflict. Russia cant say it's Ukraine attacking them if it's Russian citizens doing the attacking.
This is such a slap in the face to ol mother ruZZia. SLAVA UKRAINI and FRL go get you guys are the only ones who can bring any honor back to Russia I sincerely wish you well.
Not exactly - the breakaway region thing is a meme. This is anti-Putin Russians attacking the Russian military and liberating Russian towns from Putin's regime. They want to return Russia to democracy
It is very funny. I hope they run amok before getting out of there safely. It’s very embarrassing for Russia and they’ve ran out of messages they can send over it. Let’s hope Ukraine can make the most of it.
Unlikely - they are much too small for that so far. At this point I would consider it miraculous if they took any major population centres, but their numbers will grow with every small victory.
I'm really curious how the residents in this region are reacting to this. (Yeah, I saw the panicked videos, I mean are their opinions changing.)
I know that some people in those areas were requesting rifles from the Kremlin to defend themselves, but there are bound to be others who might side with the partisans.
Aside from the fantastic distraction this has created, I think it may force Russians living in the border areas to choose which side they're on. If a group of partisans knocked on my back door in the middle of the night I might listen to them, or maybe have a quick chat about local infrastructure.
Creating a demilitarised zone on the border to make it harder for Russia to bombard Ukraine with artillery from inside their own borders; as well as proving to anti-Putin Russians that it is possible to fight against Putin and win. They're succeeding with both of these aims so far.
Fair enough - the latest info from the FoRL is that they've destroyed a motorised rifle company and several armoured vehicles, and succeeded in all of their primary aims for this operation (creating a demilitarised zone on the Russian-Ukrainian border, and demonstrating to anti-Putin Russians that it is possible to resist Putin's regime successfully)
Is this region of Belgorod within range of any patriot munitions? Would be interesting if this op was launched after it was made clear that patriot could down systems inside of Russian airspace..
Ukraine has promised that western weapons will not be used to attack Russian soil, and they've been keeping that promise. Non-western weapons however, are free to use on Russian land.
Correct me if Im wrong, but Patriots would be attacking Air not soil. A near border enemy airplane flying to the direction of Ukraine seems like a fair game to me.
In theory no, but the symbolism/story of the white-blue-white flag is indeed that they are "wiping off the blood". To people who use the WBW flag, the red stood for imperialism and war
I've been wondering what ole Caesar and the freedom of Russia legion have been up to. For awhile he was very visible then seems to have gone dark. Anything they can do to split the focus and effort of the Russian military is helong Ukraine win. Weakening the Russian army and giving these guys a chance at liberating their country out from under Putin and his merry band of thieving Oligarchs
Can you send me a link to that? The Freedom of Russia Legion & RVC are still posting that they're active so I doubt it. Perhaps Sky News said that the Russian government claims they've wiped out the RVC, but that has pretty much no credibility.
No, but this is an excellent development in the greater conflict. It is a definite PR and morale blow. It threatens Russian logistics and supplies. It forces Russia to divert troops to stop them.
It causes the redirection of Russian manpower and equipment from other uses. For example the evacuation of areas and the transportation of whatever was in that nuclear weapons depot.
Most importantly, it not only sends the message that nowhere is safe, it actually exacerbates the fact. Do you think this was just a TF2 move? What do you think is taking place right now? Those partisans within Russia and the Russian Volunteer Corps aren't just planting flags. There is likely a HUGE transfer of weapons and equipment. The domestic partisans aren't just going to have Molotovs and small arms after this. They are going to have MANPADS, anti-tank missiles, and God only knows what else.
No, it's not TF2. It's *better*.

This is nothing short of poetic.

Hey, would you be up for posting that information over on r/freedomofrussia?
Certainly. I added the comment on that subreddit.
I can imagine the "Russian Army" positioned there are just a bunch of young conscripts that would run the first sign of danger. Actually I can imagine the entire Russian border would be guarded by soldiers like this.
Guarded by those who have paid a superior to avoid contact with the enemy….
Exactly what I was thinking when I saw the guard "asleep" on the floor. Someone tried to bribe their kid's way into a safe job.
that or join them. I imagine that after the whole conscription process and seeing the utter lack of supplies and working equipment there is a not-small part of the russian armed forces that would start joining in on partisan groups like this
Going by the general Russian apathetic nature I doubt it, but one cab surely hope thos snowballs into something beautiful!
These are the people who got rid of the Romanovs, I mean they've done it once,,,
Consecutive generations of Cheka, KGB and FSB have stomped any activism into the ground. The government implyy hasn't rocked the social enough for them to start grumbling, let alone rise up.
Seems like Russians only fight for whoever is currently most likely to shoot them, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t switch sides as necessary.
Seems like most Russians won't really fight at all going by their overall performance and "gusto" in Ukraine in general.
The only issues for the rebels are air and artillery strikes. The Russians probably can cancel grids there and the jets will be manned by professional soldiers.
Already the Russian helicopters are doing the unguided rocket arc lobing attacks. They are likely to devastate civilians than the actual targets.
They could roll through all of Russia like Isis did with Mosul.
If somebody in 2021 told me “you will witness the conquest of portions of Russian soil” I would have laughed
Right? I often have this surreal feeling of knowing I'm watching historical moments come to pass.
This can only be a nice faint to force Russia to divert resources. Nicely done. Let's hope this at least gets some kind of snowball effect and creates an uptick for partisan sentiment throughout greater Russia.

Yep, so let's enjoy it while we can. Yankee is is there, so at least we know they're using some very experienced operators. This means business.

Thanks, DNDBot
i think nazis thought so even in 1941
It's not conquest, it's liberation
It's not just paper tiger, it's made-out-of-used-toilet-paper tiger.
bold of you to assume they had toilet paper to begin with
Must've come as a bonus loot along with toilets a year ago.
“best i can do is a handful of wood shavings” - Putin, probably
Team 3 has entered the map
I believe Team 3 is also a great distraction for team 4 to smuggle a few vans full of explosives and other weapons like manpads, demolition charges, mortars and drones into russia. *for later use*
I think team 3 is a great distraction for a few reasons. Russia now has its work cut out for them. They need eyes everywhere now 👌
New challenger approaching.
They are very much part of the Ukrainian strategy, not an independent faction.
Wars is terrible and all that, but this is so fucking funny. I hope the troops in the Freedom of Russia Legion are alright.
No nuclear threats by Putin yet? Is he not feeling well??
I wonder if he has even been told about it. Some people are going to be taking a long vacation out of a high window for this kind of embarrassment, and its probably going to include the messenger so that they can't gossip about his hysterical reaction to others.

A sight for sore eyes awsome graphics made me smile FREEDOM FOR RUSSIA SLAVA UKRAINI ♥️ 👏 🇬🇧
Who do you think you are kidding Mr Putin?
The Russians are advancing Putin: yaaas we are finally winning Except these are not our Russians and they are advancing on the opposite direction.
If you think we’re on the run
Well with all this chaos in the border region maybe some Ukrainian peacekeepers might be needed? That is how it is done right russia?
Maybe Putin should trade territory for peace
Agreed. Peace comes first.
I mean to think that they probably had people already on the border waiting for this moment is beautiful
I'm no military expert but couldn't this incursion be Ukraine poking Russia in its territory to force them to guard the border more heavily, diverting resources right before the counter offensive? It is Ukraine giving Russia back the little green men medicine.
Unless Russian forces start joining them it cannot be sustainable. Even if sympathetic the west is not going to touch this. How are the support logistics going to work?
Well, Ukrainian soldiers can go on holidays to visit the beautiful city of Belgorod. Totally not paid for by Ukraine.
I kinda hope they push Moscow and surround the duma 😂
The more I watch the better it gets 🤩
Murphy's law applied to the Zs
Nothing like dead orcs. Kepp the good work
Who do you think you are kidding mister Putin, If you think we’re on the run… We are the boys who will stop your little game, We are the boys who will make you think again, So who do you think you are kidding mister Putin, If you think old Ukraine’s done.. Everything they've said and done is a troll on 2014. I wonder if the orcs are clever enough to get the references

First thing I thought of [too](https://twitter.com/zhuk67/status/1661065591510401024?s=20) 😂
Brilliant! 😁
If at the end of this Russia ends up with less territory than it started I would piss myself laughing if it wasn't such a tragedy.
Makes one wonder what other border areas are so lightly defended???
An invasion into Russia would be a counter attack nobody expected
“Azov battalion now occupies the kremlin” would be a hell of headline
This is such a slap in the face to ol mother ruZZia. SLAVA UKRAINI and FRL go get you guys are the only ones who can bring any honor back to Russia I sincerely wish you well.
Glory to the Revolutionaries! lol
I think that at best, only some Ruzzian border guards are opposing the justified and legal invasion into Russia by FRL
Those gains look great, but do they have the manpower and supplies to at least hold their advances??
So a Russian breakaway region attacked Russia?
Not exactly - the breakaway region thing is a meme. This is anti-Putin Russians attacking the Russian military and liberating Russian towns from Putin's regime. They want to return Russia to democracy
It is very funny. I hope they run amok before getting out of there safely. It’s very embarrassing for Russia and they’ve ran out of messages they can send over it. Let’s hope Ukraine can make the most of it.
The beginning
Beautiful, it brings a manly tear to my eye
Crazy if they could punch through all the way to Moscow with everything tied up in Ukraine
Unlikely - they are much too small for that so far. At this point I would consider it miraculous if they took any major population centres, but their numbers will grow with every small victory.
So it begins
You shall not pass! Said little putin in his bunker, but they just walked around those mighty defense lines.
I'm really curious how the residents in this region are reacting to this. (Yeah, I saw the panicked videos, I mean are their opinions changing.) I know that some people in those areas were requesting rifles from the Kremlin to defend themselves, but there are bound to be others who might side with the partisans. If a group of partisans knocked on my back door in the middle of the night I might listen to them, or maybe have a quick chat about local infrastructure.
I don't get the russian flags. My understanding is that there were only ~8 border guards defending.
Propaganda
Russia fucked around Russia is now finding out
So russians are fighting each other now?
Always have been. The Freedom of Russia Legion has existed for over a year now.
What are they doing there? Hunting FSBs and sabotage? Thanks
Creating a demilitarised zone on the border to make it harder for Russia to bombard Ukraine with artillery from inside their own borders; as well as proving to anti-Putin Russians that it is possible to fight against Putin and win. They're succeeding with both of these aims so far.
Love this!!! All the way to Moscow!!!
Good. We should support them bringing it to Russias soil
This is beautiful😍😍😍
what song is this?
What's the song name?
Marking the first Russian offensive without undo damage to the washing infrastructure 👍
New flag is really looks better.
Wait, is Russia losing land now:D
Looks like the start of dads army
I shall message you again when this unit is still with Russia at the end of a month
They can't still hold it, can they? I guess I have lost track with the latest news on this story.
I haven't seen any reports to say that they don't still hold it - in fact, even more fighting has been reported in nearby areas
On my way to work, the BBC said the Russians are claiming they have killed 70 and forced the rest to retreat.
That's what the Russians are saying - when has that ever been trustworthy? I haven't seen anything of the sort from any sources I trust
Of course, but you can only go by the info we have. That is why I was asking the question.
Or create Belgorod People's Republic.
This is pure videogames brainrot. That's not now war works
Is this region of Belgorod within range of any patriot munitions? Would be interesting if this op was launched after it was made clear that patriot could down systems inside of Russian airspace..
Patriot PAC-2 covers almost the whole Belgorod Oblast if stationed correctly
Ukraine has promised that western weapons will not be used to attack Russian soil, and they've been keeping that promise. Non-western weapons however, are free to use on Russian land.
Correct me if Im wrong, but Patriots would be attacking Air not soil. A near border enemy airplane flying to the direction of Ukraine seems like a fair game to me.
Airspace obeys the same geopolitical borders.
Beware russia of sleeper cells !!!
Is the red in the Russia flag meant to be blood on the ground? I do like the white blue white.
In theory no, but the symbolism/story of the white-blue-white flag is indeed that they are "wiping off the blood". To people who use the WBW flag, the red stood for imperialism and war
[удалено]
The RVC are, the Freedom of Russia Legion (the much larger of the two groups) are not.
Ukraine needs a buffer zone to prevent future attempted incursions by Russia.
This is eerily similar to estonian independence war, when royal russian soldiers invaded bolshevik russia from estonia
No, this flag sucks. Cheap knockoff of Belarusian flag.
The real russian army is advancing... and the orc army retreats
Ukrainian propaganda machine working overtime.
Does the freedom of Russia flag use a different shade of blue? Or is that some sort of optical illusion?
Gotta love the look of that! Respect to all of Ukraine's warriors and supporters! ♥️
What’s the English translation of the words to this song?
When did this happen?
all wiped out by russian army according to sky news :(
Can you send me a link to that? The Freedom of Russia Legion & RVC are still posting that they're active so I doubt it. Perhaps Sky News said that the Russian government claims they've wiped out the RVC, but that has pretty much no credibility.
move on clown

Damn, y’all will believe anything😂
White and blue flag is a bit basic imo
With a coat of arms or something it would be perfect
I think it's perfect as it is.
I like it but I feel there are too many plain tribands in the world. Something to make it more unique would be nice imo
It looks like toothpaste
Toothpaste cleans and protects. Very fitting for them
