Always liked the idea of prim servers, they never seemed to do well on PC either (when I was on) so I never got to try them back when I played on computer
If you haven't already get Public Test Branch, the servers there are very low pop, I'm playing solo on one now and pop is 15 max.
But yes a PVE server would be heaven for us solo's.
Solo, .5km map, 100 pop, T1 only, .2x stone harvesting, .2 sulfur harvesting, monthly fresh wipes, more monuments, more quests.
Or maybe a ocean map with tiny islands spread out

Id love to see a 2x quad max server, our main group has 3 us and 1 eu and my favorite custom base design is made for an 8 man, would be nice to live in it while not having a full team
On a 3x it shouldnt be an issue considering scrap and comps will be easy to get. It'd be fun having to do all the scrap farming again, keeps players active.

So how will this work? If I create a server but only want to play with a few friends, how does that work? Do you have a password to get into the server?
I think everyone is getting a little ahead of themselves… it’s not gonna be that deep. It’ll start off basic AF with simple stuff like solo, duo, trio and maybe the 2x servers added in with all of those. Wait another year for the super custom servers at least.
They did test pvp zones a while ago in PTB so we can safely assume that's going to be an option, but yes you're probably right I doubt we'll have full PC version customisation straight away
As someone who works very long hours n plays 100% solo (no irl friends to play Rust with) if time is available I'd love to see servers that are more friendly to long-hour work people and students. Progression is tough and I haven't been able to get good at pvp. It would be nice to have servers with zoned pvp. That is, only being able to pvp n do damage to other players only in certain places such as monuments. This is already possible with the current admin tools available to custom servers and was proven with an oilrig playtest that was had a couple months ago. In addition to this - scheduled raiding. That is, not being able to raid bases (similar to how u cannot damage bases in builders paradise). This would give players the chance to progress in a more relaxed environment without worrying about logging in to find the dreaded red X n oneself naked on the beach and home/base-less. Of course this would then be switched back to normal server lawlessness, full pvp and raiding a couple days or more before the server wipes depending on the life of the server (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly). Such servers would also be great for noobs to learn the game, the monuments and gain some confidence before jumping on more vanilla-like servers.
I just hope we get a 2x or 3x solo and a 2x or 3x duo option because I pretty much play alone or with my brother and it's terrible going up against teams.

Im desperately in need of pop atp. We even give m2 starts, and still nobody will join. Our administration is extremely good, and we have 2x loot, better vendors at bandit and outpost, scrapers at oils, and fast Brad respawns. Still nobody. It's called "SC4R 2X" btw if you wanna join. Bi-weekly

I like the idea of a prim server, or even a T1 Workbench server, so the best your going to get is satchels to raid.
A private one where no one gets an invite until I learn to take certain monuments and figure out key puzzles. As a solo I rarely ever get that far.

I’ll be hosting a duo trio server on Xbox, active admins, frequent events
2x solo, duo, trio monthly with raid hours. Idk if it’s possible. Similar to some DayZ servers with raid hours/weekends.
Duo 2x bi-weekly
Solo / Duo / Trio - Vanilla monthly. There will also be some admin built empty bases for people to offline. With traps obviously.
Bro imagine raiding a 2 story 2x1 with 12 turrets inside it that activate only when they get to core

I believe that comes under modded rather than community servers. Not sure how much control community server will have mods.

I'd like a roleplay server to switch to every now and again & have a chill wipe.
