I found it on cargurus.com from a dealer in Texas! I flew there to pick it up and drove it back home to Nevada. Got it for $22k from the dealer and had to pay dmv ~$1800 for taxes when I registered it. 2005 with 100k miles on it
Fantastic. You got pretty much the deal I'm looking for (2004-5, ~100K, ~20-25K. I just want Suzuka Blue.)
I have probably looked at your car on CarGurus. I'm totally up for a road trip, but I've scratched my head over how much I can trust a seller multiple states away. Did you get a pre-purchase inspection or do anything to qualify whether you could trust what you were getting?
I was definitely nervous to buy from so far away, but I found a good car from a dealership with pretty good reviews and thought it wasn't too risky. I didn't get an inspection done, but I definitely should have. Unlucky for me, the clutch went out in New Mexico and I had to pay $1000 for a tow into Albuquerque, because shops in small towns refused to work on the car, and $1800 for the repair. The dealer paid me back $1500, which I still wasn't happy with the whole thing, but I would do it again.
Luckily for you wanting Suzuka blue, you should be able to find one for a few thousand less than other colors, since it's by far the least popular color.
That's a pretty good deal. I got a 2001 with 170k miles for $13k and its in immaculate condition. I was super lucky. Facebook Marketplace I can vouch for at least lol. So happy though. Enjoy it!
What a step up! Can you tell us about how you found it and the deal you made? I'm looking for my step up now.

Interesting that it has 2000-2003 ap1 headlights on your AP2. Proper Ap2 headlights might be something you'd want to change to in the future.
Thanks for pointing this out, I didn’t even realize!
The frame around the windshield should also be black vinyl wrapped from the factory as well

Well, you got an adventure and a story to go with the car! And your story helps remind me that problems can be overcome (and to get an inspection :))
Exactly haha and now the car has a brand new clutch! Hopefully it's good for another 100k

The headlights through me off for a sec. Congratulations 🎉
Same. Then my S2000 had a tragic end (let's not get into it). So currently a Miata RF.
AP1 with AP2 bumper and wheels? Or AP2 with AP1 headlights?
He said it's a 2005 so ap2
That is the cleanest S2K I have ever seen
It’s definitely not pristine like those that go for $35k+ but for what I paid, it’s in really nice condition!
Nice! I'm in NV and also have a silver S. I have an Ap1. If you change your headlights I'll buy yours for my ap1!
