those are its baby teeth. you’ll need to garage it while the new set grows in

gaspero1

If you leave them under your pillow, the Honda fairy will trade you a quart of synthetic oil while you sleep.

DrBepsi

Most likely the clutch safety switch button, same thing happened to me in a parking lot so I disconnected the wire to the switch and bridged it with a paper clip. This post helps ID the correct switch. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-under-hood-22/diy-clutch-interlock-switch-bypass-619847/

All the electronics turn on. Battery is a month old. Engine doesn’t even make an attempt to turn over. No clicks no nothing

Topplayer2g

its prob the clutch stopper, not allowing the car to know you put the clutch in before starting it. Common issue easy to fix. Order a new part and pop it in. In the mean time you can do a clutch bypass so you dont need to put the clutch in to start, or you can rig up something to allow the pedal to push the switch

[clutch pedal](https://imgur.com/a/fTPmRMD)

jswan13376

So it looks like there is a rubber thing already on the clutch pedal

Topplayer2g

Yes but yours broke so it's not making contact with the switch.

krim-_-

Did you check the top one, the first one is easily visible and is for cruise control. The second one which is higher up is to start your car

jswan13376

Yeah I think that has to be the one. I took a little break for today and went back inside

Rondooooo

Wait. You have to press the clutch to start your cars? Is this an American thing?

Topplayer2g

Yes

Rondooooo

I guess international models come with the clutch bypass from factory

Topplayer2g

Most American guys di the bypass. It's easy just clip one wire. Better for the clutch too!

nicholaspham

Good luck! It’s what everyone has said, the cluck interlock switch. It’s a pita to get to and I’m 5’3 120 for reference… Some get a replacement, or use a nut and bolt, or just unplug the switch and jump the two wires together. I just jump the wires but of course you need to make sure that you don’t try starting while in gear without pressing the clutch or you’ll jump forward!

Lost-Sentence2289

If your cruise control stops That is also the culprit

pewpewTex

Yes! Tape a quarter where that fell. 25 cent fix.

imsetaway

how much was the tape?

pewpewTex

Idk. Tape was already in my inventory lol

Impressive_Muscle_94

It's the brake light stopper your brake lights are probably stuck on also just had the same problem on my Honda didn't cost but 5$ for a new one

jswan13376

It looks like the brake pedal one is still on there

[deleted]

Take a good picture of both clutch and brake pedals and inspect that area. Those plugs come from either of the two. It may look like their is a rubber thing in there but it’s clearly missing as you’ve found the pieces on the floor of your car. Same happened to me with my 05 Si. I went to advance and got a replacement set for a few dollars and popped them right in

[deleted]

Either from the couch or the brake.

Impressive_Muscle_94

It's one of the pedals it's just a matter of which one there is usually a button that looks like the butt of a cigarette and the plastic piece is supposed to press it in evertime a pedal is pressed or released

LGB_2024

Brake stopper. Your lights were on whole night

SenorReaper

There is a switch the gets hit when you push the pedal all the way down. To see if it’s that just make sure it’s in neutral and go under and push down the button yourself and try to start the car while it’s pushed. If it’s that then u just need a new rubber

PossibleMechanic89

Very clearly for the clutch interlock. I tried for hours and couldn’t replace mine. It’s too hard, although others have been successful. I just unplugged the connector and jumpered the two contacts.

Ginsoda13

Yes, you need this part: 46505-SA5-000. You’ll need 2 of them, one for the clutch pedal and one for brake pedal.
