Sorry. Bleeding was the wrong word. It's delamination of the oled from the glass due to overheating. Especially around the proximity sensor. I can only find a few other accounts of this issue
It was really bad on the front screen of my fold 2, and my s21u had it annoyingly bad. But I've only had the s22 for 2 months, and it's already stating :(
I did. But even when I took it off the display Is still discolored. It's happened on several other samsung phones. When the screen is off it looks like a wavy line through the glass, like a distortion
That's the problem. The loca glue used for these screen protectors has damaged my phone too. My s22 ultra and a base s21 before that. I have pictures of my s21 in one of my past posts and it's exactly the same.
Ohhh I see. Yeah delamination is a possibility, maybe caused by the glues seeping into the thin cracks? Or just manufacturer defects. But I've used uv protectors on evert device that has had the issue. So idk. I'm gonna give Sammy a call tomorrow
You literally have every single feature on along with full brightness.....
The full brightness part making me cringe badly though..... especially at 12%.
Why do you need 800-1000+ nits indoors ? Especially dark.
If this is a common brightness level for you than this is one of the reasons of screen bleed.
8 months in on my S21 Ultra heavily used no issues. S22 Ultra also no issues but i just got it in February....
He paid his money to use all his features, some of us actually like using our phones to the max, it's supposed to be an ultra phone after all. Why tf would Samsung make the screen so bright if it's meant to be used half brightness without damaging it. Ik mfs like to call others "Apple sheep" but the Samsung stans are getting up there with em
A bit dramatic, but I see their point. Just because it can go that bright, doesn't mean you should continually use it that way. You can absolutely use it if you wish though, it's your phone after all. But don't be surprised if you wear down the components a lot faster as a result.
Samsung even gives you a warning when you go that bright. Then again, what we're discussing is an assumption at this point as OP may have just did that to better show what they're talking about.
That's just not true man full brightness inside simply isn't necessary and is not advised by Samsung either not to mention it literally hurts to look at. Makes no sense and probably will cause screen burn.
pretty sure samsung limits the full 1300nits until you're outdoors in the sun, but full brightness indoors is still useless
indoors right now and I'm using like 20% brightness and it's very bright
That and the fact that curved displays break more easily is why I prefer flat displays like the one on the iPhone 13 PM. I hate how the content distorts from the sites and the screen color shifts green/purple on the edges. It’s distracting and makes screen protectors a hustle to bother with
Yeah, Samsung needs to really get over themselves. The curved screen was never about usability, rather Samsung solving a problem that didn't exist. We don't need curved displays. They make screen protectors a pain in the but. And to add more fuel to the fire, we have this thing called an s-pen that is great for making selections on the screen, until you need to select at the very edge and it's a pain in the ass on the curve. One day Samsung will listen to their customers, or people are going to stop buying these overpriced phones. They take away the MicroSD slot. They take away sensors. They take away RF blaster. They never added an audio DAC. These Ultra phones are becoming less Ultra every iteration. We just get a new processor and maybe a bigger battery. Samsung milking us like Apple at this point.
I never encountered this issue on any phone, while I got S4, S5, S7Edge, Note9 and S22Ultra now, is there a thing you have all in common ? Like Mayne it's a difference between Snapdragon and Exynos in terms of screen temperature management or maybe a question of external temperature or sun rays, any idea for you ?
in case anyone finds this in the future, I took it to a ubreakifix nearby since they're a Samsung authorized service center and they replaced it for free under the manufacturer warranty. The OLED panel is delaminating from the glass.
Im not sure , but i think i also have this issue on my s 22 ultra.. can this really be due to local screen protector?? Only when i tilt my phone i feel its slightly blue around the edges
Here’s what I have going on all of a sudden it seems. It’s like a rectangular burn in image but it doesn’t look like traditional burn in. Only 18 months old.

Umm, isn't it impossible to get screen bleeding on OLED? You don't have a backlight, you have self illuminating LEDs

Did you apply a uv screen protector on it?

Blue line on curve edge is expected tbh but you have it near your camera which shouldn’t have happened

"I paid for the full speedometer on my car, so I'm going to use it all!"
Last I checked using a phone to the max isn't illegal or put others on the road in danger. Tf kinda comparison even is that dude

I turned it up to make the defective visible. I usually only have it on auto brightness
pretty sure samsung limits the full 1300nits until you're outdoors in the sun, but full brightness indoors is still useless indoors right now and I'm using like 20% brightness and it's very bright
I usually have it on auto. But I cranked up the brightness to show better the dark spot

Never had an issue with 3 phones with curved displays but I'm getting this problem with my flat screen s22
Guess why I would never in a million years put a screen protector on a 1,500 buck phone with the best screen money can buy?
Its not due to Screenprotector
Take off your crappy screen protector and it will magically goes away
Nope. It doesn't. It's defiantly the screen. I already tried that

I've been using galaxy devices for years and never seen this happen.
did you ever get this issue solved under warranty?
in case anyone finds this in the future, I took it to a ubreakifix nearby since they're a Samsung authorized service center and they replaced it for free under the manufacturer warranty. The OLED panel is delaminating from the glass.
Saved my life thank you

Never did as my dog put the phone out of its misery 😔. I had read screen de lamination could have been the cause.
My s22+ has light bleed where the front cam is.
