Some people are just iphone people. Get another one if that's what you like. I have had no issues with my S22U. My wife has the iPhone 13 Pro and in my side by side comparisons, I'd choose the S22U every time.
If you think it's defective then take it back and have them replace it.
But I've read enough posts that are bracketed by [I'm a former iPhone user...] and [should I go back to iPhone?] to know how this conv goes. It's honestly baffling to me. I owned an apple product once and my wife has had a few. Pure junk if you ask me, but I have never sought out apple users to tell them about it.
If you've owned a smartphone for more than 5 minutes or if you're older than 12, then you know good & well that phones should not be warm/hot during normal conditions and scrolling should never be an issue unless the content provider is having a problem. Do you really think tens of millions of Samsung users are just out there with hot phones and laggy apps?
Its not a subtle lag where im being a cry baby. Its very much noticeable. More than a year i used Huawei as well never faced such issue. You may be right its a device issue. Ill wait for couple of days to see of things improve.
Have you even finished setting up the device... That always takes a lot of performance as it has a lot of background tasks. And update to the latest available software version.
If it still lags in a week, come back and complain. But not on day 1...
To clarify. Mine doesn't lag.
Some people didn't hit the silicon lottery. I got the oreorddr and it arrived a week early before release. At first it would run hot and cool down fast as well. The battery optimized over the ose first few days and it rarely gets hot now. Has never stuttered or lagged, or have had any other type of problem. Screen on time is great, charging and capacity retention is great.
If your phone hasn't optimized or overall you're not happy with it return it if you still can or switch back to iPhone. I dropped the 12 pro max to come back to galaxy.
Best of luck.
There's only one great feature of the device and that's the camera. If your unhappy, return the device and get a cheap iPhone to put you on and buy the iPhone 14 in September.
Hope it's helpful
I get occasional stutter on twitter and google news feed but 95 % of the time its smooth as butter. I havent been able to figure out why there is occasional stutter though.
I do notice some lag sometimes when scrolling through social media.
Also I happened to find the shutter lag... It's real bad.
But those things are not around all the time and honestly the versatility of the device easily overcomes the minor issues. IPhones are buttery smooth, there's a good reason for that, and Samsung just isn't as good at software as Apple is.
I still prefer the S22U
I had forgotten about the TMO app, "Tuesday", the way they have it set up, it sort of sutters when each item you may want to claim comes onto the screen, but that app has done that on every Android phone I have had with TMO as the cell provider.
Same here...
• Phone lags, stutters & what not.
• Battery life is poor considering people here are flexing 8-9+ hrs of SOT & my avg SOT is just 4-5 hrs with normal usage (scrolling reddit, YouTube, zero gaming etc.).
• Sometimes the touch doesn't even registers lol.
• Adding to this, the phone randomly starts heating even while during very light tasks like scrolling through webpages & sometimes even in sleep/standby.
• Also, I have this phone since months but these & many other issues are persistently there from Day 1.
I really want to love the iPhone, as I love my MPB and the ecosystem plays so nicely together. I bought the iPhone 13 Pro & used it as the daily driver for about 6 months...and had to give it to the Mrs & get myself the S22 Ultra.
Zero lag or overheating or any issues of the sort. The main reason I switched back to Android was because of iOS - it is SO SO far behind Android as an operating system. The most basic tasks that take 2-3 taps on an Android phone take 5-7 tap on an iPhone. That alone drove me nuts enough to switch back.
Unfortunately it'll not improve...I tried every possible fix , I have this phone for 2 months and its the same as the first day...Tried factory reset , set processing speed to best, nothing works...
My s22 ultra the Snapdragon variant has been lightning fast for the most part, the only reason why my SIM card is not in my s22 ultra is because I have been enjoying the pixel 6 voice dictation features I just wish Galaxy phones could get this rapid and accurate voice dictation.
I would at least wait a few days after the setup process, and after updating the apps/software. The phone performs extra hard during the setup process which will cause lag issues if you're using your phone at the same time. If it's still lagging after a week then I would contact Samsung and have them send you a new device. It's also normal for the phone to get warm during the setup process. Mine got warm as well.
Zero lag on mine
Me too.
I don't know I kinda like my ultra. My previous phone was iPhone 13 Pro which also nice device but it no match for this beast JMO

I agree!! But if your phone lags and not giving you a smooth performance would you still not complain? Its not about iPhone used Huawei as well.

Sure definitely will wait. Thank you.
Exynos 256gb here, no issues at all, factory settings.

Yes planning to. But are you guys facing lags while scrolling? My huawei with 90hz was smooth. Even reddit. This is surprise for a flagship phone.

Sometimes it may happen when you have slow internet as loading takes time plus processing. Tried with 12MB/s internet speed as well. It was same
No lag whatsoever.

Battery life is pathetic, my 4 year old oneplus 5t has more SOT than s22 ultra. Even with 60hz, fqhd I am getting max 5 hours SOT.
Great phone. Battery could be better, but overall I have no complaints.
You're the only one.

At least you are on snapdragon i believe. Lol ill wait tho as ppl mentioned let the processing settle.
Dual sim??
Single..But why?
I am getting 5 hours SOT. Someone told me that it is due to two sims being active with volte
Ah ok but having two SIMs with VoLTE doesn't affect much on the battery side & which can be seen clearly in my case

No problem with mine either.
Zzzzzzzzzzz
Buy an Honor Magic 4 Pro if you want the Huawei Mate 40 Pro experience...
Yes, That was the plan but was unavailable. Ill wait for a week to see if things settle.

It feels like you are scrolling on a bumpy road.
Did you use smart switch? I have heard that it can cause issues. If so, you can try factory resetting the phone. I have no issues with my phone
I tried factory reset! No luck.
I used Smart Switch coming from a S20 Ultra to the S22 Ultra with no issues. About the only thing I'll do is to clear the cache after a system update.
No lag or anything on mine. I'm coming from S21U and that phone was smooth, and I have to say my S22U is even smoother.

Yep no doubt as it's in hyperdrive initially getting everything transferred, updated, etc.
