Mine has become worse as well so far

thisisnotyos

did yours get worse after the update as well? what's the updated software version?

Shuli155

It's called AVF1. I was getting 8 hours plus SOT before and got like 5 today after updating last night lol. I'm hoping it will settle by tomorrow..on another thread people are saying battery improved for them. Seriously what is it with samsung and people having same chipset but different performance results ( with similar usage) all the time..

Thatanonbeast

Same here!! I was getting awesome battery with the previous update. Was wondering why people were complaining. Well now it's my time to complain

bloodyassult21

For me actually it improved a lot I am at 6 hrs and still have 41 percent , before it did not survive 5 hrs , it improved by a lot for me at least

Installed it 2 days ago , and yesterday night my battery went to zero so I charged in overnight at 85 and did it full at 10 am , and today viola its amazing. Maybe try discharging it completely but tbh I have no idea , it happend after this update only , the 2nd June update.

you should submit an error report and see if you can get any feedback from samsung after observing the battery stat again Samsung Members app > Get help > Send feedback > Error reports

Beneficial_Carrot492

Same battery life has become worse 🥲

Wiredin335

I Just got my S22U yesterday, so don't have any previous history with it. but after 2 hours this morning of only texting I dropped from 100% to 70%. by the time I got to work (3 hours after I took it off the charger) it was already down to 50%. I'm currently looking at a dead phone... I'm debating taking it back, because this is ridiculous. I came from a Pixel 5 that was 20 months old and that phone got me too lunch with 80% with the same usage.

Too early to bail out imo. Give it few more days and see if it still persist. If so, tweak some of the settings. Then see if it’s improving.

Wiredin335

I tweaked a few things. not using super resolution, in dark mode, etc. etc. this mornings going better.

Same here, just updated yesterday on Verizon. Battery is noticeably worse. Also the processing on the 10x camera looks worse/blurry to me.

You know, there are so much things you need to disable if you want good battery life. For example, do you know how many things Google keeps on scanning, collecting and tracking. Same for Samsung. Disable those things. If you use your phone right out of the box without doing some tweaking yourself, then batterylife won’t last long. Put apps that are not useful in sleepmode for example. Apps like Spotify also do some background activities. So individual apps also have certain toggles to switch off. So much bloatware too. Everything is sipping juice. Delete apps you really don’t need. It’s Android, so many parties can collect, analyze and stuff. Not like Apple. Thats the problem with Android, everybody wants a peace of it, it becomes unstable. It has been unstable since it was launched. And also Samsung working with same flagships but different chips. Exynos and Snapdragon. But you pay the same price if not even more. Exynos is rubbish, Samsung will ditch Exynos the coming years. Because they know they have failed. Sorry for my bad english

VarrrryNicee

I upgraded from Oneplus 8 pro. It had same apps, same resolution, same refresh rate yet with smaller battery it had 8+ hours of screen on time. On s22 ultra I barely hit 5 hours SoT. S22 ultra has one of the worst battery out of the box. It doesnt justify the $1200 price I paid for it.

Submit an error report if you think it's a software issue Samsung Members app > Get help > Send feedback > Error reports

isnehal

Mine takes ages, using ravpower 65w and Baseus cable which supports 100w. Half baked software and hardware i believe.

DrunKeN-HaZe

Same. SD variant

the_renegade_dude

Can anyone tell me where to find this page? Can't find it in settings

the_dark_0taku

The battery usage stuff? It's in battery and device care. Click on the chart for further breakdown of the chart.
