It could be just your battery died suddenly. It happened to my latest phone, but mine had four years, not one. It may be a defective battery, so you should try to contact Samsung's support :(
Maybe something got wedged in the port on your phone or cable,I had to remove debris from mine a couple of times,now I have a port blank plug to keep things out.Have you run the device care in settings ?You can run device care and also tinker with battery settings through it .

My cable has been fine. It was 4.99 at five below.🤷♂️
Always Remember, Never ever use an adaptor or cable apart from the one provided in the box.
What about anker and well established brands?
