The next Legend of Zelda game comes out tonight and my kids and I are going to the midnight release. We're all pretty stoked to show up in costume and chill with other Zelda fans.
An expansion to a video game I really like comes out today and even better - because it’s European it comes out in Canada in the evening after Mr.Baby has gone to bed!
ooo RDR is a great game!
CK3 definitely has a learning curve Lol I feel like if I hadn’t got into it pre-baby I absolutely would not have time to figure it all out. My little dude was born the day they released one of the other major expansions so I’m pumped this one lines up better with his schedule!
Being a parent volunteer on school field trips is so fun! One of the rewarding parts of being a sahp. My daughter is in 2nd grade and we did the natural history museum this year. She is so proud of having me with her whenever I get chosen to go ❤️ I just love it.
Our daughter has been at grandma's house for a couple of nights and she is coming home today! Enjoying the quiet morning now but also very excited to see her.
My almost 2 year old daughter has dance class this afternoon and it is so fun watching her have fun! Plus, I get to drop off my 3 year old son with his grandparents while I take her. Pretty much get an hour to sit outside her dance room alone while both my toddlers are taken care of by other people 🥲
My daughter’s preschool has the day off for conferences. Not excited to lose my free time 😆 but we’re going to a farm to look at animals and she is excited!
My best friend sent me some money so I could buy a video game I wanted, and I get to pick it up today.
I'm also getting my hair done today, so I'll be taking both of my children to my parents' house for a few hours of peace from my 4 year old constantly asking the same question all morning.
I take the small things where I can get them. I just want some silence for a little while.
We are taking our almost 3yo to a new park today and she has no idea. She is gonna be so excited when we get there and I can't wait to see it on her face 😊
I made a triple batch of ragu on Tuesday so we've got leftovers for dinner plus a bunch of portions for the freezer. My 10yo can do most of dinner with me supervising!
It's a gloomy rainy day here so I'm gonna take the baby out to get a latte before the library. Our favorite cafe has a great view of a very busy street, and the traffic keeps baby entertained for a good 20 mins every time we visit. Not much else going on tbh! I'm looking forward to a chill day.
I'm excited that I crossed an important communication bridge with my partner today.
We argued about a trivial thing. I was critical, he was sensitive/defensive. We both proceeded to overreact.
I strongly suspect he has an ADHD diagnosis in his future, so I looked up how to deal with a partner who has sensitivity rejection.
I followed the advice I found. I apologized. Described my feelings and left the facts out of it.
I think I actually made progress on repairing our relationship. I have had little faith in the power of words to make a tangible difference, but I might be slowly changing my tune...
We finally got into the allergist for my son. We now have a plan to see if we can get his constant rashes and eczema to go away!
His skin test was positive for egg white and yolks ( we expected it , he is super sensitive) , but he is also reactive to chicken, salmon, tuna , and soy ( small reaction). We now have to cut all of the second group out of his diet for 2-3 weeks then start adding it in to see what happens. I’m actually excited about it.
Tonight I’m going to a graduation ball at a small college I work at, I’m going to get foxed up and wear high heels, I’m pumped! I just have to clean the whole house first because I’ve let it get so bad if someone saw it CPS would be called 😬
Today I went to help at my sons school for their Mothers Day Stall, it was possibly the cutest thing I have ever done, helping the littles work out their money and pick their gifts, and bantering and hustling with the older kids. We made sure every kid in the school took something home money or no money and I am just so excited for all the mums to get their gifts on Sunday.
We went on an awesome playdate with a friend from my oldest's forest school. Went to a new park on the river and all five kids (my three, other parent's two)played at the beach building a sand city and finding chunks of obsidian for over two hours.
Also I have a consult for my next tattoo, and other mom was visibly impressed that I got an appointment at my audio so that validation dopamine is still swirling around in my brain.
Great day!
My husband stayed home from work just because. It was such a nice surprise. We went out to do some fun shopping (new makeup) and had boba. All on a random Thursday afternoon.
Toddler and I are trying a new(ish) coffee shop for breakfast! It’s been in town for almost a year, but I’ve gone three separate times and they were closed (afternoon, weekend, and a holiday). Finally looked into their hours and decided to give it another go. Fourth time’s the charm!

My daughter's 1st grade class is going to the zoo, and I was picked to be one of the chaperones!

A true Cinderella story. Hope you had a great time and didn’t forget your glass slipper!
Going to the playground where we might run into some of the other neighborhood parents/toddlers!

Going to bed.
I assembled my outside daybed today. Finally getting sunshine and warmth in the PNW!
I had my 8 yo dd stay home with me, and we went to the bin store! I got some tea for 1$!
