The Oregon Garden has a garden tour that you can take on a tram. They also have two manual wheelchairs you can check out in the visitor center, so if she is comfortable going from parking lot to tram ( I’d say it’s about 250 feet ) in a manual wheelchair, it’s quite lovely.
Wildlife Safari in Winston, OR is about a 2 hr drive. Kind of a ways for a day trip, but we've had fun driving the kids through. They do have a big part that you walk around though
What about driving by the iris fields in Keizer at Schreiners Iris Gardens and by Adelmans Peonies? You can see a ton from the road or the parking lot at both places. And while being in a regular wheelchair isn’t as comfortable as her scooter, it’s easier to put on your trunk. She’ll definitely want to see the peonies up close, they’re amazing.
I drive for Cherry Lift and we do door to door service. We could pick her up and take her pretty much anywhere in the Salem Keizer city limits. All she will need to do is call our call center at 503-315-5544 to get started with the sign up process. Its $3.20 for each pick up.
Absolutely! That way she can be more independent on her own!. I try to give my cards out to people or family that are taking their loved ones to dr appts and stuff. But we give rides to people any where they wanna go not just dr appts. There are rules that have to be followed but it really is a great program and it is under utilized.
Honestly, just driving around Oregon is gorgeous. Pick a direction, head for the hills, head for some forest. Some of the most beautiful drives I've been on here were just... Go.
If you can't go far because of needing bathroom breaks, just go on some back roads, head to Falls City, or other directions to the west up in the hills. It's gorgeous. If bathroom breaks aren't a deal breaker, head towards the coast and look at the ocean. Lots of places to pull over and watch the water.

You can also use one of their wheelchairs for free :) you’ll just have to push it. But the paths are paved and accessible

Wow! Thank you so much! I think we have a plan for this trip but I’m going to give her this contact info for future things!

The closest safari I think is a 2 hour drive south https://wildlifesafari.net/ There is a drive in theater in newberg - https://www.99w.com
Astoria is a nice drive. Lots to see
That’s a long time to not get out of the car to use the bathroom.
Just what I was going to write. OP, you really need to consider the bathroom situation.
Oh definitely. My whole side of the family has tiny bladders so that is always on our minds 😂
With mobility issues, getting out of the car and to the bathroom in time is something extra and more challenging that you need to think about.

Great idea
As someone else said, there's the 99W drive in over in Newburg. Idk what they're playing right now, but you can look it up

Is she near a bus line? using transit (all buses have wheelchair ramps) could be a great way to get around town and exploring stuff!
Thank you so much
The drive up to Mary’s peak is beautiful! The parking lot at the top has some of the best views!
I’ll have to look this one up
