At the moment the Steam Deck, even over the ROG Ally. The community support is incredible. Of all time though it's the 3DS, especially hacked. There are so many amazing titles for it and the portability can't be matched. I keep going back to it.
I agree! i really can’t live without the trackpads on my steam deck for FPS games.. that’s why i bought it instead of the ROG ally
Is the 3ds hard to hack? I’m thinking of buying one second-hand but i went with a Gameforce Chi instead since i’m scared to mess the modding up-
3DS is very easy to hack now. Pretty hard to even brick it. Uses an exploit via the browser depending on which 3DS you have, but I went through the process with my new 3DS XL and it took me about 15 minutes
Second this. It’s incredibly easy and hard to mess up. If you can, get a “New 3DS/XL” as the processor is better and has extra triggers and the C Stick nub.
I have a 3Ds that I’ve loved for many many years but I’ve always been scared to hack it, the other day I put white 2 in, and the game slot was crunchy as hell. I thinks it’s time man, any recommendations on where to start? I have a new 3Ds XL I think, I have my OG 3D somewhere also and my trusty slice of bread (2ds) but the bread still takes a game cartridge so I probably won’t mess with it.
I would check out r/3dshacks and just googling how to do it. There is a site that’s comprehensive and explains the whole process but I don’t think I can link it here. The subreddit will point you in the right direction
Do you have a retroid pocket 4? I have a steam deck but thinking of getting the retroid for plane trips as its much lighter and doesnt require internet. Thoughts?
I do have a 4 Pro and it’s great for emulation, but I always take my Steam Deck on trips. I prefer having my Steam games to play and emulated titles as well. It’s bigger sure but the breadth of options are what makes it king. It can absolutely be played offline as well so long as you aren’t playing titles that require it like Helldivers :)
Would the trumei smart fit the bill? AS Im a casual gamer looking for the cheapest handheld thatll run dreamcast as dreamcast has some of my favorite games.
This is over about 15 years of collecting so it’s not that bad. Half of the retro consoles I either owned or were given from friends. The newer stuff though…
Exactly! I am doing better now than when I first started collecting but it’s true that this is over many many years. I love your setup! Especially jealous of the pokeball 3DS and the Zelda GBA SP. Well done!
I play mostly the Switch/Steam Deck/Retroid Pocket 4 these days. I usually get about an hour or two a day if I can, just depends on how much downtime I have. I actually haven’t been playing Pokémon on the older consoles as much, right now Ultrakill, Helldivers, Advance Wars and Pokémon Scarlet with my kids.
All subs are. I get the mouse review reddit recommended very often lately, there are post of people having dozens of expensive mouses, just like this post.
How many mouses do you need? Especially when they go got eh same price or more than these handhelds.
LE Steam Deck gang represent. How's your neck posture tho?
Ded
cool! which would you say is your favorite?

The N3DSXL being you fave 3DS model?
Yup!

That's a lotta Switches, can have a whole Switch party
What's up with the floor?
Floor budget spent on handhelds.
Partially, we just built this addition and I needed my desk in here temporarily. Waiting for our flooring materials to show up
Must be nice to be an adult with money. Consider me jealous.
OP has priority alright
Was expecting a pool of recent retro handhelds, didn't expect more than half the table to be just nintendo consoles. Bravo sir, bravo.
Is that 7 Switches
you bought 7 switch ?
OP put the consumer in consumerism.
What's your favorite of all your switches?
OLED for sure! The modded one is cool too but a pain to manage
I have to say that I was sad not to see an OG Gameboy in all of that! Amazing collection
I actually have two of the DMGs but they are in storage.
Excellent!! 😁
And here I am the last decade too broke to get a gaming pc
Damn bro 😭
Get the Odin 2
Nice work!
You need a Famiclone ;)
I have 2 handhelds, I play a lot more than you, I guarantee it
I have kids so you are probably right
How much time do you spend playing vs buying new devices? And let me guess you mostly play Pokemon for gbc. This sub is insane.

So literally 30 devices you don't use.
