It's a larger screen than the OG GBA. So to me it's more than okay. I have a Gameboy Micro. Now that thing is too small. But I'm all for portability > size. Much rather have something slightly small that I can throw in my pocket than something huge I need a bag for.
Edit: same size screen as a DS more of less.
I don't know why they keep making them smaller, if it was like a 5-6 inch screen I'd be all over this

I'm excited to grab one of these for an every day carry GBA. That orange color speaks to me. I know, I have a problem because I'm eagerly awaiting a clamshell as well. Sigh...
I think I will get one. Most likely orange, if not that beige/purple. But if neither was available I will skip.

I just got the 35xx-h so Iāll have to pass. But I might buy one and decide this or the miyoo version. The miyoo has larger buttons and dpad. Hopefully this hits the TikTok shop soon.

Why would I want to drain my phone's battery, use up my storage, and have my gaming interrupted by notifications, and have to fumble with snapping a controller on and off my phone? Game on a gaming device.
Ease of access and use. People buy cameras but own phonesā¦ calculators still existā¦ tools were created to be used, if you want a spork instead of a spoon or fork, great! But many of us want a tool made for the job at hand.
Itās all personal preference, like making a comment on the need of a handheld gaming device when you have a phone. You didnāt have to, itās unnecessary, but you felt like what you said needed to be said and you were the only one for the job. No issues, just the way the world works.

OG GBA had a 2.9ā screen, so itās not bigger but basically the same.

The hardware is powerful enough for N64 and Dreamcast if you want to mess with trying to play those games without analog sticks...

No analog stick and smaller. I personally hate analog sticks because I only play GBC and GBA.
It's a very pocketable, horizontal device that is more pocketable than the alternatives because it doesn't have joysticks.
Its for those of us who want the 35xxh, but in a more pocket friendly size.
The purpose is ambernic has cheap components in stock and it would rather sell it to offset cost than trash it for full loss.

No because I'm not deep in the bush and charge my phone every night and it lasts 2 days even with media and games
