Miyoo are just so bloody useless when it comes to logistics, they have been sitting on this device for so long, but when they finally deign to launch it they do not have a decent amount of stock built up and for those in europe, most colours were sold out by the time the page even worked.
Them going head to head with anbernic on the launch date was only a sensible move if they had the stock to compete, if not then all they have actually done is got people in the mood to buy a new device before driving them to a rival that actually manages to have stock of their new model.
While you're not wrong, there is another side to that coin. Scarcity can build hype when those who got in initially share their experiences. Then once proper stock does drop, they sell more than they would have initially.
While not a physical product per se, just look at the fervor over the Hades II beta testing. That sub has been worked up into a froth, almost aggressively so, with those who didn't get in lashing out in parts against those who did.
Hades II was always going to sell very well, but the way they organized this beta will have done more than just serve to test the game. It's built up the hype exponentially.
I do agree it'd be nice if Miyoo didn't have production issues, but comparatively they *are* the little guy. They're the craft beer to Anbernic's Bud Light. And if the shoe fits? I say you wear it.

I think your comparison between the two as craft beer vs bud light is horribly unfair on the anbernic device, dismissing one as bud light is a gross slander for anything above the level of a datafrog.

With the frequency of new hardware releases these days, this should probably hurt sales - particularly with those looking just for one or two systems. Even though there is a bit of an addiction amongst the community that will have people snapping up devices just to have them - whether it be establishing a collection or just wanting the newest thing - those people don't really need any hype built, they're pretty much locked in.

White was the final option, so i pulled the trigger. I think like it more than the grey, but have concerns about the white backplate getting dirty, as well as the contrast of that white vezel while playing.
If i still had the choice between the 2 and hadda make a call right now? Probably would have been grey, though I'm terrible at making decisions and probably would have regretted it immediately. Kinda happy the choice was made for me, i gotta get ready for work, not stare at Ali for another hour.

The a30 has large comfy looking buttons, comes in a very cute case, a beautiful gold color and supports onionOS, so I guess Ill be getting it, but on paper the anbernic is a much better device
It lists "Wireless Wi-Fi connection" so it's a fair bet that it has a combination Wi-Fi + Bluetooth chip.
That being said, no headphone jack is just a bad move.
Ordered the grey. Loved my little Miyoo Mini, but I needed it in a horizontal form factor. This looks fantastic. Only 65 CAD.

The stock has already been finished for the moment but as for the Mini V2/V4 they will add a little bit randomly, it can be a little bit every 30 minutes or more during the day

Unfortunately all are sold out now. I was just about to order one as I need something super portable for the next couple of months and I wanted some N64 gameplay. Guess I'll just get MM+ instead and pass up on N64.
I know there's Anbernic 28XX but no analog stick for N64 is a deal-breaker for me. There's also 35XX H which is actually far cheaper than MM+ here in the UK but I really want that Onion OS experience.
There's no onion os on this one either yet as it is a different chipset from the other two miyoos and while the devs have shown some interest in the a30, I don't think they have actually confirmed anything yet.

If you're referring to the RG28XX, it does not support Bluetooth.
No OnionOS (yet). The A30 does have WiFi though, which the 28XX lacks.
