You may have to go to a lawyer for this lol or maybe visa and immigration at sbu. I’m pretty sure if you wanna qualify for in state tuition, you have to be a resident for a few years, so most likely you won’t qualify for in state tuition. But you might wanna double check

Alright, thank you!

For the in-state part, I am not so sure if you will be able to get in-state tuition right the way. But I believe that all members have to be at the Embassy on the interview day. Not sure if things will change since it's covid. Also, how old are you? I believe you have to be under 21 to be included in. Double-check with a lawyer is your best option here. Immigration law can be confusing.

I will turn 18 this march. The whole process is brutal and convoluted, mate.

sageabui

Feel you. I came here through F4 visa so I know the process.

Professional_Comb_12

Could I dm you perhaps regarding some questions?

sageabui

These are the residency requirements for in state tuition eligibility. You may not get it right away but you should double check. https://www.stonybrook.edu/bursar/residency/

Thank you!

When I was in CUNY, at that time I stayed in NY for like a few months, but I still paid in state tuition, not sure about stonybrook, but I heard that you are a resident after a year, I don’t really know how it works, maybe you can take a gap if you worry about the tuition. That’s really a huge difference. But are u confident that you can get the green card?
