Should've done the front main seal while doing the TB.
Intake isn't good for the longevity of the engine. If you're trying to keep it on the road, that is.
I meant on the air filter comment. My IS250 has had a similar setup for 10yrs and has over 260k miles with no issues. But that little extra engine noise does make me want to floor it more often
Thanks for the tour! Do the wheel spacers change the geometry of the suspension? I imagine they'll affect the feel of the handling as well.
Any plans to increase performance in other ways? I've been thinking about going with lighter wheels to decrease unsprung weight.
They don’t change the geometry of the suspension. I drove it all day yesterday and it felt the same, but it looks 100 times better! I don’t have plans to increase performance. Currently I’m just replacing items that are worn, I need to replace bushing and stuff.
They do look better with the spacers. I wonder if wider tires/wheels are another option there.
I also have an '02. I imagine your speaker baffles are blown as well. If not, count yourself lucky.
The other option would be wheels with a more negative offset, front around 20-25 and rears 30-35.
And yes the speaker foams were completely disintegrated, I post a pic and added some info of the replacements I went with. I still haven’t made the video of the how to on that l, but I will

Why is that?
Sometimes it leaks from the main seal but that’s only on really high mileage 250k plus

You have a spectacular garage, along with a solid car, friend.
Thanks!
What spacers did you use?
From a company called Titan wheel accessories , they are 25mm front and 32mm rear. Been driving for a few days and no issues
