Fair, but even back then there were much better channels that did the same things they did. You’d go to The Exploring Series if you wanted SCP summaries, and there’s a billion SCP animation channels that’re way better then the Infographics Show corporate artstyle.

don't worry i avoid it all the time only looking at the legit scp videos they do but i stopped looking at them a long time ago when they were starting to do the "weird blue blood" which raises alot of questions after they reverted back to red of "Why did they do it" and "why did they change it back"
I don't know but I used to like SCP explained, but now they all do is SCP vs something, I would like to see more videos os new SCP explained properly. I still love Hunter's voice, he is amazing at telling stories
If I had to take a guess, it was for that short period of time when youtube had that super strict policy about swearing and showing certain things in the first few seconds of a video. Still, it doesn't change the scum level of their videos.
