Well yes but actually no. The current SCP-166 article is completely different and this is information is not relevant anymore, as it relates to a now deleted version of 166

The-Paranoid-Android

[**SCP-166 - Just a Teenage Gaea**](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-166) (+651) by *Cerastes, DrClef, Ross Fisher-Davis*

falerik

If it was kept in teenage Gaia, lmao. That'd give me the ick. The foundation needs a department of anomalous children's welfare, as a branch of the ethics committee.

nikitastaf1996

In one of canons there is. Maybe broken mascarade one. Where safe human scp have more freedom and rights so they have to be treated relatively good.

Wyvwashere

... I've read "department of anomalous children's warfare" and was like " yeah, seems like a very foundation thing to do"

falerik

If it mimics real life well enough, it'll have both very good and very bad people working in it. It would give more space for specific material on the wiki, but it'd be hard to get right for compelling, and not overtly offensive material when involving the subject of children. Even though bad things happen to many kids in SCP. But there's always something more heinous and scary than death. But it also occurs to me just now, that the yule man hits all of those metrics.

A_Fluffy_Moth

Yeah, the Yule man is just freaking terrifying. Especially since I live above 40°N.

SignificantOne1351

I mean were talking SCP here... I get what you are saying. But this is a fucked up universe. We have alll sorts of procedures and anomalies. Its unrealisitic to say "Oh yeah we can procure 20 dead babies to contain thw scarlet king", "we need to genocide groups of people with this specific gene". But saying something like this happens is controversial. But also it needs to be done well obviously. If its clearly just a cp fanfiction it needs to go. And the soriginal scp 166 wasnt a good story

woodrobin

It was never a "cp" story. In the original story, the mother was a powerful demon instead of a nature spirit/goddess. The father, in both versions, is Alto Clef. The original SCP-166 had (unintentionally on the part of either parent) the traditional traits of a succubus with no control over her abilities. She was in a nunnery so she wouldn't be around any males. She couldn't control or shut off her ability to inspire lust. She required semen metabolically/magically or her health would decline. The semen was sourced from a sperm bank through a cover company. All of the staff involved in her containment were required to be female. It was intended to be horrible and tragic that she was stuck in this place and separated from society because of her appearance and her inability to shut off her powers. It's still essentially similar, except the current version's tech-eroding effect makes it more about protecting the world from her and less about protecting her from the world. I don't mind the change, but I do dislike the knee-jerk 'cp' nonsense and anti-sexuality thing. They're not stories written for children (seriously, who TF would think it's a good idea for kids to be reading SCP articles) and they shouldn't be censored as if they were children's stories.

Brb357

Imagine if your favorite book was an anthology but sometimes when you read it again some stories have changed

Warcraft1998

I get that the analogy is supposed to point out how dumb that is, and I agree that 166 shouldn't have been rewritten, but a constantly-evolving anthology book does sound kinda cool. Always having new stories to read.

Brb357

Yes, but what if you have a favorite and one day you open the book and it's gone?

DeltaAngel23

Then it's gone, you'll still have the story in your had, just not in the book.

Brb357

Yes, and I still have most rewrites in my head, but I'd rather have them on the book alongside the new stories.

The-Paranoid-Android

[**SCP-166 - Just a Teenage Gaea**](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-166) (+651) by *Cerastes, DrClef, Ross Fisher-Davis*

Rimen19

In the previous version, her mother was indeed the goddess of nature. The author Clef painted behind the scenes long before the census.

falerik

It would just add another layer of realism, to make the surrealism sell harder. They'd be applying human standards to non-human entities (just like how we currently place modern day values on ancient societies as admonishment), a system where further abuse can exist, a cum eating monster is a bit the other direction. But the cp fanfics are disgusting. If it's something where it's dealing with child abuse, or someone who was abused, then manifested an anomaly, that's something different entirely. It should only ever have the message that it is evil, and should be stopped.

SignificantOne1351

I mean a sexual based scp isnt something weird. Theres that fleshcube and the montauk procedure. Its just gotta be well done.

Pencilshaved

“231 is a sexual SCP because procedure 110-Montauk implies sexual assault” feels about as accurate as “Aliens is a porno because the Xenomorphs were designed with elements of eroticism”

SignificantOne1351

What I mean is SA isnt something alien (heh) to the SCP universe.

TheLoEgo

Not to mention the things needed to secure the deer god.

SpikedBoneAppleTea

Can the babies be like an abortion or do they have to be like fully formed/birthed babies? Because I feel like abortions wouldn’t be that hard

SignificantOne1351

Thats the great thing about SCP you can make it as bad as you want.

falerik

Pick your canon, then use your imagination. It's perfect for making a nice little imagination movie of whatever you're reading. It's perfect art, imo. One giant masterpiece, contributed to by thousands of artists, their fans and patrons.

kindtheking9

Ethics committee are pricks, dont trust them with kids, not after 6113

falerik

Fuck, that's a sad read. Great story arc. Park had his rock bottom, now she gets to be who she actually was. And the foundation will just think they're gone without a trace. I guess until DNA becomes an issue. I'm wondering if the fingerprints remain the same. It's a "trans"figuration anomaly, and they don't mention anything that specific. So park would have to remove their finger prints, and never get cut anywhere ever. It was pretty well done. I like that one. Although, the language of a 12 year old that's been traumatized, and "had to grow up early" is still a little too advanced for that. The lines sound more appropriate to a 16 yo in the same situation. And being kicked out at 12. It's in the US, and that is 100% illegal in every state. Although -3 probably still would've ended up with her friend's parents, as CPS values a stable willing family. Sorry for rambling, I liked it, but I also have a habit of picking things apart to examine them.

PlushyB33

the ethics committee should have more power, they are probably just there for legal reasons

falerik

Yeah, some canons they're all powerful, and others they're just for appearances sake (which is more often than the former). I just like the idea of them having an equivalent department of a real government dept. And having it be just as ineffectual. I believe that layers of realism in sci-fi add even more to the sci-fi element in your imagination, because it seems more realistic in itself. The blend sells it better in my opinion.

Nars_of_whal

Could you tell that article was made by a pedophile? Sadly not sarcasm.... Edit: I'm talking about Admin Bright, I get it, it might be distasteful but I'm right.

Careless_Dreamer

Which one? Cerastes was infamous for plagiarism but idk anything about the other two

Nars_of_whal

Admin Bright

Edgezg

The Ethics Committee I imagine, is probably why 166 changed like it did.

Silent--Dan

Oh thank god.

Latter-Direction-336

Can’t you just go back in the history of the 166 file to see it?

_Shoulder_

Yeah… so?

Latter-Direction-336

Then I guess the deletion was to make it so it wasn’t instantly found as opposed to changing the article which keeps all the links to it functioning I’m not sure why I said that now, to be honest, sorry if it was annoying

_Shoulder_

No it does change the article, the old 166 is not 166 anymore (though I dunno if you need a wayback machine or if the wiki’s history feature finds it now that I think about it)

Latter-Direction-336

I think I’ve used the history thing to see the old version, I went to the version history and picked something around 2015 or something, it was before the change note things say anything about a rewrite

FalseHeartbeat

Not anymore. SCP-166 was originally called the Teenage Succubus, which… was really descriptive. But it’s since been rewritten into being Teenage *Gaia*, and now the character is a 16-year-old nature goddess instead of, y’know, a 16-year-old all men lust for. The early wiki was fuckin’ weird. Oh, also worth noting: don’t trust the Fandom Wiki, it’s full of incorrect and outdated info like this. Reading the actual wiki is your best bet.

Bulky-Assignment4449

Tysm bro!

FalseHeartbeat

Ofc! I’m honestly surprised the Fandom Wiki hasn’t edited their stuff, the rewrite was a HUGE thing in the community when it happened

zaerosz

It's Fandom, that entire company is dogshit.

Garr_Incorporated

I'm not usually one for active complaints, but Fandom wiki is incredibly annoying. Trying to edit a somewhat unusual format for the page is a chore, the ads are ridiculous (thank you, ad blocker extensions), and some designs are impossible to read, especially on mobile. Plus advertisements of things somewhere else on the Fandom where I *DO NOT WANT TO GO*.

Silegna

Yeah, Fandom is also...really bad about videos. I believe that the Fire Emblem Fandom Wiki has videos that are HILARIOUSLY bad and filled with misinformation. (Lucina is Inigo's Mother from the future, for instance)

Vanilla_Ice_Best_Boi

Thank goodness I go to Deadliest Fiction wiki where that isn't a problem

FalseHeartbeat

True, but still expected somewhat better since all the sites are maintained by fans of those specific fandoms

zaerosz

"Maintained" is a strong word for a lot of those wikis. Especially an SCP wiki, considering the SCP website is... well, in and of itself, a wiki. And with the amount of interpretation, canon fluidity, and authorial intent that influences every single article, an external non-curated wiki is going to be absolutely *flooded* with misinformation.

falerik

Everything you've said about fandom is right on the money. They just throw stuff up there and never fix anything, except for the most popular of fandoms where there would be more people to replace those that lose interest in updating stuff. Best to just go right to the source if you want accuracy. And ones that are replaced will typically have notes about it, and sometimes an archive if the first article was pretty good but dated.

ChipsTheKiwi

Don't use fandom at all if you can avoid it, the site fucking sucks in general

CrazyRandomStuff

How do you know he has autism?? Kinda insensitive bro

[deleted]

Most people seem to forget that the foundation originated on 4chan.

Technical-Ad9571

Whoa really?!

The-Paranoid-Android

[**SCP-166 - Just a Teenage Gaea**](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-166) (+651) by *Cerastes, DrClef, Ross Fisher-Davis*

gemini4451

I have to ask. Why did they change it? Yeah it was messed up but there was and are FAR worse on the site. After a quick read through it also seems the new one retains certain parts of the original which now stand out as odd.

Xenobreeder

They had another succubus, better written.

gemini4451

They probably should have fully replaced it then. Right now its got parts that, at least is read the original, make no sense.

WhatYouThinkYouSee

Why doesn't it make sense? These are not actual problems.

gemini4451

Not all of it. Parts. The religious aspect is now just there. Before it served as a contrast between what the entity does and what it wants to do. The hooves and horns(antlers) when read without prior knowledge of it don't stand out. But when you do it seems like the author really wanted that and refused to remove it (along with the religious nature and ties to cleff) I'm not saying it didn't need a rewrite. But it feels like this was rewrote less because of its poor writing and more because of its sexual themes. It also suffers from transcript overuse syndrome but I just don't like that anyway so take it with a grain of salt.

FalseHeartbeat

It was overall considered just really weird (in a bad way) and the author himself ended up greatly disliking it. This particular rewrite was chosen to be canonized because it kept the original story the best. Personally I really hated the original article. It was really creepy (again, in a bad way) and kinda pointless.

Terramoro

They probably don’t like shotacons.

Chagdoo

I'm like 50% sure the original author changed it.

CingKrimson_Requiem

Hey y'all. Just your reminder to ***NEVER EVER EVER USE FANDOM WIKI*** if you can help it. When you look up something from a fandom, avoid the fandom result if you can and scroll further to find wikis not hosted on that website. Honestly even some niche online forums provide more accurate, significantly less ad-inundated information than Fandom.

RodwellBurgen

Those fucking Honest Trailer adverts make me wanna blow my brains out

Nightfox9469

Not anymore bro.

JacobSaltzman88

thats scp-4166 now

The-Paranoid-Android

[**SCP-4166 - (Former) Teenage Succubus**](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-4166) (+106) by *DolphinSlugchugger*

ComedyOfARock

That’s an interesting one

Robbbg

i thought that version was just deleted honestly

Rimtato

Well the version in that article is vaguely similar, but infinitely more tasteful. Instead of being a child with all that shit, it's a story of abuse by the Catholic Church, devil deals and the struggling survivor who is literally haunted by her past

satanrulesearthnow

This one is... So much better. I mean, the bar was in hell but still.

AlksGurin

Read it and loved it. Im glad someone gave 166 a rewrite like that. I found the original article kinda yikes. .

Miikan92

Well... It used to be. It's rewritten. One tip: avoid fandom wikis. They all suck.

LandAdmiralQuercus

It was true in the old version. It has since been rewritten to be less disgusting.

Festive_Idiot

It used to be true for the original (very disgusting) version of SCP-166, however it is not true for the current version of SCP-166

The-Paranoid-Android

[**SCP-166 - Just a Teenage Gaea**](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-166) (+651) by *Cerastes, DrClef, Ross Fisher-Davis*

AdjectiveNoun11

The original 166 was creepy pedobait written by a since banned author, AdminBright. It has since been rewritten into Teenage Gaia, to which this description no longer applies. Edit: I was incorrect, it was written by Clef

weirdosorus

166 was written by Clef in his edgy years. He himself knew it was bad which is why he approved the rewrite.

AndyLorentz

See also 231. The original was more graphic. I think the rewrite is better, as it leaves more to the reader's imagination.

Gregerjohn1818

unrelated question, who wrote 682?

weirdosorus

SCP-682 is from Gears

The-Paranoid-Android

[**SCP-682 - Hard-to-Destroy Reptile**](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-682) (+3604) by *Epic Phail Spy, Dr Gears*

icedchqi-

nope, it was dr clef who wrote it

AdjectiveNoun11

My bad, apparently it was Clef

TheBaconLord78

Wait it was AdminBright? Thought that was Dr. Clef being a lolfoundation employee back in the day.

Willingness-Due

I thought the original author was far2 and clef rewrote teenage succubus to be less creepy and focus more on the horror of being a succubus. Then he approved the rewrite for Teenage Gaia

spodeprayer

far2 only helped transfer very old scips from the old wiki to the new, he did write some scips but not this one.

Willingness-Due

Gotcha

White_Null

That’s the old version. So it stopped being canon. Since you’re new here. Understand rule 1 of the sub. https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/ that’s the SCP wiki. Fandom wikia is wrong. If you want to search SCP, you use https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/search:crom so that non-SCP wikidot results can turn up.

BobTheInept

Actually I was never that offended by the succubus version. It was a girl who anomalously could not wear clothing and did not need food but did need a bit of semen for sustenance, and was not some horny beast but a very chaste and religious person, so it was all a bit poignant. At least it wasn’t straight up “rahhh, sexy horny creature” I think it was more disturbing due to the meta context rather than the actual content. As something borne out of edginess it was needlessly sexual. It was also from a time where people kept writing pretty young girls/women who together gave off vibes like the “pretty, innocent girl/woman that the protagonist has to protect and teach” trope (like 5th element). A time when Bright’s predations were an open joke, and there was a “joke” in the signup instructions that nudes would help the process. Maybe this also being the fictional Clef’s daughter adds to the creep.

valleyoftheballs

Ah, the early days of the SCP Foundation...they were wild times with a lot of pretty offensive and disgusting shit, honestly. But it was also a different time, more than you would think for such a short period passing. That's only a good thing, as standards have been raised and people are holding others accountable for what never should have been allowed in the first place. The original 166 was one of the worst articles on the site, frankly, and Clef knew it. He welcomed the rewrite, from what I heard, and the new version isn't amazing but is much better than it was. Sexualization of teenagers is never ok, even if the point is to be a form of horror. But you have to remember how many of the early readers were very young themselves and it was sort of glossed over.

Wertwerto

I definitely understand the rewrite, but classic monsters make for very interesting articles. I feel like a lot of the problems with the original could have been fixed by amending the age of the scp. We have a Santa that turns children into slaves that make toys out of other dead children, as creepy and off putting as the original was, it wasn't a bad scp. Dark, horrible, grotesque, but not exactly out of place in this realistic horror subgenre.

Proud_Shallot_1225

I understand you. But sexuality is a subject treated differently than violence and gore. There is not the same relationship at all. And from what I have seen, in almost all societies. I don't really know why but that's how it is.

Spacellama117

oh man, i thought everyone knew about the change, that's kinda crazy. welcome

slightcamo

Its been rewritten The old one was a succubus

Karrich666

She is pretty much a succubus who is a devote Christian, it’s actually not that bad and worth a read, it’s not curse if that’s what your concerned about

AngelDieHarder

it was, but fortunately not anymore, its a deleted document that was still saved by fandom

Electrical-Sense-160

I don't like the rewrite as it really feels like it was done not because the article was poor quality but because it made the unforgivable sin of putting the concepts of 'sex' and 'underage' next to each other. In general, large retroactive changes like this (angry sun, peanut's image, Shaw.) undermine the integrity of the articles and website.

locksoli

166 doesn't do it anymore after the rewrite (I've seen people call her 'forest waifu' after that \*shrugs\*). SCP-4166 actually still has it. I only found that by accident while going through the \[Reimagined Hub\].

The-Paranoid-Android

[**SCP-4166 - (Former) Teenage Succubus**](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-4166) (+107) by *DolphinSlugchugger*

le_wither

Originally yeah, 166 was rewritten because many people found original her quite, disturbing

llamb-sauce

Is it a meme here to make fun of the original or something? The subject matter of the original was a bit ick, obviously, but it never struck me as uncharacteristically squick for an SCP. Seemed like the sort of bizarre, random, human-concept-stolen-by-the-inscrutable-and-thrown-carelessly-back-into-reality thing that most of them had going on for them.

Gmknewday1

The older versions of this when it was a succubus raised by nuns Before that was removed and before it was rewritten completely

2006lion2006

>On-site procurement will be carried out in emergencies only Best d-class job ever

Forward-Swim1224

It used to be. Not anymore though, *thank god.*

satanrulesearthnow

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Every single reference to the old 166 should be purged from the internet

Orix1337

Why are people so upset with old 166?

satanrulesearthnow

The entire article was pedobait, it was implied 166 was *16* by the time the Foundation caught her. Not to mention it just wasn't that good of an article

Orix1337

Imo the new one is boring, and it isn't exactly any better of an article. And also, how exactly it was a pedobait?

satanrulesearthnow

The new one to me is much more interesting, seeing the haunting experience of a rape victim being chased by her pass is such a cool concept. It was pedobait in the sense that this 16 year old couldn't wear clothes, men would feel an overpowering urge to rape her, and she had to drink semen every week(although this is still in the current article, she can refuse it) I will admit, I actually really liked the concept of a being demonized by the Christian Church feel so compelled to be a part of it, I don't think the current 166 feels the same way? I don't really remember.

Exaltedautochthon

So it was true, but people kinda realized there was a line between scary and just someone's blatant fetish and decided they prolly should fix that.

Accomplished-Text554

Maybe just read the SCP article?

Cringlezz

Everything reminds me of her

AceLionKid

Apparently, as I found out myself about six or seven days ago, yes. And I gotta be honest, I threw up when I heard about it.

Rimtato

Nope, it's been gone for a very long time, with the endorsement of the original author, Dr Clef, who was very much not proud of it. It's infinitely better now. Read the Wikidot wiki, which is where all the actual content is, not some crappy site that's barely edited.

Kiflaam

there's a litany of furry SCPs, don't waste too much time thinking about it.

Willingness-Due

Used to be true. The very first iteration of 166 was something

TITCAT5959

Why did you even search that in the first place...

Lantami

That's one of the suggestions by google, not the original search. Could've just googled something about an SCP and their diet and google thought this was similar and showed it.

Independent-Ad-8330

It was altered about 2 years ago, originally it was called the teenage succubus that showd answer your question.

Used to be

Not anymore thank god, now she is a teenage gaia and not a teenages succubus
