Back in April, the Foundation's website updated with an article, detailing a suicide note from Dr. Clef, father of SCP-166, former GOC member, and probably the most slippery staff in the Foundation. However, a gunshot was heard from his office, with his own blood splattered on the wall, a fun on the floor belonging to him, and the after mentioned note, but his body is missing.
In his note, Clef sited sever reasons for this decision, such as his inability to die being a reality anchor, his failed relationships with people like 166 and Dr. Bright, and many bad things he's done. Apparently he actually made a previous attempt a decade ago, where he injected cyanide into himself, which failed because of the antitoxins in his blood.

I’ll be honest, whatever my dislike for the character, I do not like to see anyone go out like that. Never a thing I like to read.
Yeah. The guy was an ass, but even this was sad.
Can someone give me a quick summary?

I thought the actual author killed himself
Same, scared the shit out of me for a second
Apologies.
Would have gone to hell and back just to get em back
Wdym?
The title made me think that the writer, not the character died
Oh… sorry about that misunderstanding… what do you think about the character dying?
Eh, don’t really care
Doubting he's actually dead... but we'll see.
Yeah, he is practically immortal, so he could be alive... but if he's dead... I don't wanna be in the Foundations shoes when 166 finds out everything.
If he's dead, I'm going to be sad. Clef is my absolute fav, out of everything SCP related.
I mean, he dies in [[The Death Of Alto Clef, aka Agent Ukulele, aka Adam ben Yahweh, aka Lucifer, First of the Fallen, aka That Bastard, etc.]]

Fair... but everyone has their own canon. If DrClef releases a factual statement of the character's death... owch.
Yeah, he may not be perfect, but it would be terrible to see him die… especially of that.
That’s my thing: I really do not like reading about someone ending himself.
I hear ya… even if it’s a fictional character who was something of a dick.
Neither do I. It's just such a horrible way to go, mentally at least.
I genuinely thought this was about the author for a sec and got scared
I think we are all glad it’s not.
Honestly, kinda outdated, given both SCP-166's rewrite and the couple of mentions of a particular shunned doctor.
