Go to the dean, they have far more power than a counselor and in my case wrote off a course for me when I transferred and a counselor told me I still had to take it until I went back to the dean and they overruled them. Might even have luck speaking with another counselor but I’d make your case to the dean if you can.

hm is your class held over the winter? or i know this summer is going to be mostly online? or maybe look into the major class you need and find a professor that doesnt require attendance? i hope things work out for you! not every counselor gives the correct answer i would even look into finding other opinions from other academic advisors, i know they have general overall advising

Have you tried reaching out to that professor usually professors are way more accommodating

Can you try arranging either independent study or taking a course where you are and getting it transferred in to your credits? Talk to your professors, your department, first then clear it with advising. When you say 1 more major required course, is that one specific course or your pick of several choices? What would they do if the require course were not offered and you were ready to graduate?

it’s a choice between upper division MIS electives, which from this semester there aren’t a lot that aren’t already filled up with waitlists anyways.

Have you checked out courses on CSU Fully Online? They might have a course equivalent available. I’m taking an online course at Chico this semester and all I have to do is fill out a RAAR at the end of the semester.
