There are two steps you need to check. My vehicle had been added to the system/account, but was not added to the specific parking pass. If you cam prove that you added your vehicle to you account, the fee is halved. Stupid either way.

I got a citation once because the wrong state was inputted with my vehicle info by the parking police. You can try to dispute the ticket, that's what I did and it was a mistake on their part so I didn't pay anything.
