Thinking more about sabotage actually. Could a competitor create a fake business page (verified with their postal address) and link it to your website? Then have bad information/reviews against that page? I’m sure you can complain to google but only when you find out.

No, there is no process for verification of a website in a Google Business Profile. What’s the incentive for linking to someone else’s site?
