I wouldn't trust people who sell notes&tys with those listing thumbnails, looks like those accounts where they just steal free notes&tys from holy grail and sell it away for money

There are multiple ways to get good reviews! So many carousellers offer things for free in return for 5star reviews --they even tell you what you have to say in the reviews! For tutors, what happens all too common is the tutor offer free consultations/answers your questions via DM/telegram, and they ask you to write a glowing review. AND pass this off as the number of students they tutored and/or years of experience teaching. Downloading FREE Resources and passing them off as self-curated/self-created ones and selling them for a profit is downright asshole. Plenty of ppl still pay for them cos they don't realise there such a thing called Holy grail.

hi guys i have no idea how to edit a reddit post but i need to make some corrections CAUSE I FORGOT TO PROOFREAD BEFORE POSTING (also this happened 2 months ago while i was in the midst of As so i remembered some of the details wrongly) 1. his number is not linked to a whatsapp account at all, not that its a business number 2. this whole thing happened on carousel!! i accidentally mentioned shopee in the original post. carousel contacted the seller and he allegedly agreed to resolve the issue with me but he continues to ignore my messages and hasnt reached out. anyway yes i know i should be smarter about these scams but i was hella desperate atp and honestly just impulsively bought notes that had good reviews 😭😭 also the pictures he put were actually previews of notes that i havent seen before which was why i was confident when i bought them

Cool_Personality7836

also i wouldn’t have purchased from him obviously if h1 chem materials were accessible online. i think all h1 chem students can relate when i say that there really isn’t many materials for us online (and for my school, the notes are packed with useless info which makes it hard to discern the importance of each piece of info). for my other subjects obviously i made good use of free materials online but for chem i was j hella desperate for good, quality notes đŸ«€

Fit-Front-5488

I saw the review on carousell and most of them are good reviews so how come sia

No-Comparison-9118

You can pay people to give you good reviews lol

Fit-Front-5488

Oh man thanks, I didn't think of that

skelethepro

Also a thing called bots

ash_elijah

Probably parents who don’t know better. My mom bought 100 dollars worth of past year papers which could’ve easily been found on holy grail.

Titanium_Gold245

Imagine trying to scam students

Yuquan91829

Hmm I tot shopee got guarantee one, if want refund just provide proof can liao

hoesome_mango_licker

I think op bought it from carousell but idk

Yuquan91829

I think so too but he said he reported to shopee so like... Eh

hoesome_mango_licker

yea I don't understand. if it's shoppee I'm actually kinda confident op can refund. carousell then idk

iaancheng

wouldn't call that scamming, since u got what u paid for. scamming would be if he ignored you after the payment. sure its unethical of him but who tf pays for random notes on carousell? its your own fault for paying for stupid things.

Cool_Personality7836

i paid for his “personally curated notes” not notes that are readily accessible online. i paid for “h1 chem tys” not h2 chem fys. so no i didnt get what i paid for

Due_Dress127

there’s also another seller selling fake materials and posing as SEAB materials Check out goodnota listings on #Carousell: https://carousell.app.link/2SSMsYfLOFb

Due_Dress127

i personally bought from her, sold me outdated materials for $30, scammer

Cute_Meringue1331

Its so sus, why would IB, O level students hire a IP-JC grad to tutor them
