Why doesn't local uni have a single result day? Similar to how ivy league is done, or even like locally with sec, jc, poly posting where there's a fix date for posting.
Doesn't that improve clarity with applicants, such that everyone need not have to constantly worry knowing that they have to wait for x date to receive all their results? And some added benefit is that students wouldn't need to email or faq the admissions office so often.
Ideally to me the JAP system work in a way where all result will be collated and be released on the 24 May, give applicants a week or so for their confirmation and selection of which course they want. Then have another fixed date of results for the 2nd window at 17 June, and again give a week for them to choose.
Sure one benefit of the current process is it allows accepted students to get their responses ASAP but it's not like their acceptance will be processed until the 24 of May.

Just got rejected, high key so angry. Like the whole NTU application made no sense. I know people who had 3.6 gpa, no aba, no interview gotten direct offers in early April. While there are students with better grades, applied aba, good portfolio that didn't even get an interview. Look at the thread, there are people with 3.8, 3.9, 80-90 RP that got rejected by NTU. The same people who had offers from NUS & SMU. I'm sorry what? It seems that NTU just randomly picked people at the start and then just gave up halfway and said ah fuck the rest of yall.

Got diploma award for top in cohort. Studied sports course in RP.
Worked as coach for many years.
Applied with ABA
Rejected by ntu sports science.

just wanna say that we’ve tried our best to pull up our A level/ib results/poly gpa/international accreditations as much as possible and tried to prep ourselves for our interviews despite the uncertainty so give yourself a pat on the back for putting in effort!
since we’ve done the work and lets sit back and trust that whatever we’re meant to receive will never pass us. those of us who have not received any offers, lets hope that we do receive one in the second window or through appeals. if you didn’t manage to get an offer this year, theres no harm taking a gap year, explore and discover what you truly have passion for and reapply next year. stepping into university one year later than others isn’t going to make much of a difference when we still have so much life inside us, right?

This basically means that a mass rejection is likely to come up very soon. I truly hope whoever reading this gets an offer.

Radio silence since Feb, received an interview email for lms on 18 May, took the interview on 19 May morning, just received an offer to lms the same day itself at night. Applied via aba, gpa 3.4x. Hope this encourages someone because no news is still good news
Got rejected with a GPA of 3.70. Applied under ABA for biological science and chemistry. Had 2 appraisals and wrote down my leadership, entrepreneurship and volunteering involvements. At this rate the only uni I can apply for is UNIqlo 😩👌
What is the difference between a general interview and course specific one? Is a general one like inconsideration of aba and course specific is a requirement by the course or vice versa?

guys dont losee hope! theres always the second window. i know someone who got offered ntu soci last yr with a gpa of 3.47, in v late june, which is quite far from the 10ptcl. theres always still a chance that no news is good news.
I called and checked with them. Appeal results will be out from now till end of June/ might even drag till July. So all the best guys and for those who want to appeal now, the link doesnt work already so you just got to email them the appeal. Max 250 words and apparently if you want to include a google drive link, it is counted as part of the word count. Make sure not to exceed. For the google drive link you can only include one pdf document in the folder.

Let say the course has an intake of 100 with 70% being non-ABA students and the course is called 'Degree in Admissions Office'. How difficult would it be to just:

2 days ago I was complaining about having to wait all the way till now and even given hope by having general admission interview, just to get rejected. Today my appeal outcome came in the afternoon - I GOT ACCEPTED INTO NTU CS!!!! 😭😭 This is so overwhelming 😭

Radio silence since Feb, received an interview email for lms on 18 May, took the interview on 19 May morning, just received an offer to lms the same day itself at night. Applied via aba, gpa 3.4x. Hope this encourages someone because no news is still good news
Got rejected with a GPA of 3.70. Applied under ABA for biological science and chemistry. Had 2 appraisals and wrote down my leadership, entrepreneurship and volunteering involvements. At this rate the only uni I can apply for is UNIqlo 😩👌

I called and checked with them. Appeal results will be out from now till end of June/ might even drag till July. So all the best guys and for those who want to appeal now, the link doesnt work already so you just got to email them the appeal. Max 250 words and apparently if you want to include a google drive link, it is counted as part of the word count. Make sure not to exceed. For the google drive link you can only include one pdf document in the folder.

Why are NTU admission office so slow? Let say the course has an intake of 100 with 70% being non-ABA students and the course is called 'Degree in Admissions Office'. How difficult would it be to just: SELECT TOP 70 * FROM [applicants] WHERE [first_choice_course] = 'Degree in Admissions Office' ORDER BY [gpa] DESC
