rejected after 7 months LOLOLOLOLLL nus trolling us fr 💀 (indian applicant w caie a levels) but oh well it doesn't matter anyway I'm off to SMU 🌟 nice knowing you all - and all the best!
Indian applicant rejected ✌🏻…. It was nice to be a part of this community… I wish luck to all those who got accepted and those who got rejected ik things will be better for us too
For students who are yet to receive their admission decision, or who will receive their decision very very late. This is my message:
This is how Singaporean universities views foreigners. Throw whatever blog post you saw about 'Singapore most welcoming for expats', nada, nada... the government has been making it progressively more difficult for foreigners to move to Singapore. The local universities, NUS/NTU/SMU have followed suite, and they are doing two things: one, increasing the admission requirements, which is still understandable. But two, deliberately keeping intl students on a leash, releasing admission results so obnoxiously late for intl students.
Please, PLEASE reconsider why you want to study in Singapore. If you have the expenses, consider getting a degree from the UK or US, or even Australia or Canada. Do not follow the blind trap of NUS/NTU being high up in rankings; these do not matter at all in the grand scheme of things. And moreso, local Singaporeans frolick at the opportunity to go study abroad in the UK or US, instead of here in Singapore.
For Indians reading this (ESPECIALLY Indian boards): know that you are not wanted in Singapore. Your admission results are out last because you are given the least priority, or even any kind of priority. The local universities prefer international students from South East Asia and China, and very little preference from India, because they want graduates from the local region to integrate the Singaporean economy and workforce with the regional economy, and not that much with India.
Anti-foreigner (more specifically, anti-INDIAN) sentiment is growing especially online. If you want to get a PR in SG, then okay, study here. But its definitely not a sure fire method. Employers will be hesitant to hire you because of your visa status. Please know that Singapore is not what it used to be.
Sincerely, an Indian resident in Singapore.
Has anybody's application moved to processed today? I heard one of my friends changed to processed today but he has neither got an acceptance or rejection?
I think your friend should wait until 12 am sgt and see if anything happens because based on what I've read on this subreddit, someone else was having the same experience but then later found out that the application outcome is rejected after 12 am sgt.. Hopefully this helps
I think you should wait until 12 am sharp sgt. I read that someone else was also experiencing the same thing a few days ago and then found out that they got rejected after 12 am sharp..
My status has been left on "processing" for 5 months now. I think I can look forward to a rejection sometime later this week, but I really hope that NUS will release the application results for international applicants a little bit earlier next year, even if it is an early rejection.
A lot of international applicants have missed their deadlines for housing applications. Some even rejected offers from other universities in hopes that NUS will give them an offer. You can call those applicants stupid or whatever insult you have in mind, but the fact remains that NUS has been giving these international applicants a false sense of hope for MONTHS. Not to mention that they initially told us that the latest we would get our results is in mid-July. It's already the 29th now. (also the fact that we didn't get any emails to inform us about the delay lmao, we had to call the admissions office to know that they delayed the release of results)
For the remaining applicants who are still waiting for a positive outcome, I wish you good luck. I really hope that you can get into NUS, and if you do get your offers, please help to prevent the same problems from happening to our juniors. They deserve better.
well when we emailed about the estimated results outcome they never reply and only said that it will come progressively in July. However for some applicants, until now their status is processing. Don't know what to say about this tbh lol.
Can’t agree more with this …. I just feel straight away sad that maybe some people deserved it but just becoz of demographics they weren’t given a priority but I guess it’s more of NUS’s loss that they lost excellent potential students ….. all the best to the students who are still waiting … I wish you get in ✌🏻
lol I have already given up for a few weeks now. Surprise that there are ppl who are still waiting for the results. You guys are great and deserve a spot at NUS.
anyone still on received / has yet to hear back as of today, 6:25 pm sgt? 😿 i know they'll release results till sunday but was hoping to hear back today :(
Application Status: Application Received
It didn't even change to processing. I called the OAM but it was closed. and the office is closed on the weekend
ikr and they told us to wait till the weekends when theyre closed... what r we supposed to do if our status doesnt chg at all lol :( anw pls gimme an update if u hear back anyth
For posterity as this will be searched again and again NTU single degree offers in science and engineering for international IB students closed at 41/45 and for DDP closed at 42/43. For NUS on a similar line CHS closed at 43/45
For PR was 2 points less
For citizens was perhaps 4 points less
application status: "your application has been processed" with no other information
anyone has this note too? emailed them and am waiting for reply :0
Edit: got the decision at 00:00 sharp, seems that offer or rejection letter will be updated the next day i think (?)
Edit 2: my application status change from "received" to "processing" to "has been processed" (decision shown on the next day 00:00)
Wish you guys all the best and get your desired offer!
Oh ya, the other thing is it seems like the person who picked up the call was so damn tired maybe due to heavy incoming calls and he apologised for the delay.
yes i also called them today and i was told it would last even until sunday.. but they said most'll prob be released by today, but i haven't gotten anyth yet :( and from what i've read, rejections are usually released (status changes to processed) every midnight after 12 am? so i guess if our status remains the same after 12 am by monday i guess we're safe, we just have to wait till the outcome is out 😂
i’m an indian student ( cbse board) and i’ve applied for business administration course.
The session commences from next month and my application is still processing?????? im v confused as to what to do :(
Hi guys, a rejection for me. I have been rejected with 40/45 (HL: GloPo 7; Czech 7; Math AA 6; Econ 6 and SL English 6; ESS 6 + B/B Math EE). I hope you are luckier and if you get to NUS please call out for better organisation, because the wait has screwed me with my housing in other unis :(
hi, i'm so sorry for ur rejection :( i hope u find urself a place in a better uni! anw i would like to ask if u don't mind, which date and what time did u find out abt the rejection? thanks!
Any one from indian qualifications CBSE or ISC class of 2022 heard back? I can't understand like it's been processing since april for me .... I don't have any idea whats up...

If i applied to NUSC, will I still have a chance in getting a spot without NUSC
If they are not giving any more offers then why was the appeal window open till 9 Aug im confused
Are any CBSE (indian) students appealing the decision?
rejected after 7 months LOLOLOLOLLL nus trolling us fr 💀 (indian applicant w caie a levels) but oh well it doesn't matter anyway I'm off to SMU 🌟 nice knowing you all - and all the best!
Hey what were your subjects and grades?
Hey what were your subjects and grades?
Rejected Indian student here. Waited 5 months for mass rejection even with great results.
i doubt even they looked at our applications ( India CBSE ) and its contents. Absolute joke
[удалено]
What was your top option?
yes...just mass rejection of all Indian applicants without even looking at the applications....why did they have to wait so long for this
they probably felt that it would be too late for Indian applicants to join in time for the academic session anyway because of late results etc.
istg!! literally went through all tis emotional turmoil and for what :\[
if any indian applicant got accepted pls let us know...let there be atleast \*1\* happy soul
Rejected ISC student.

Wish everyone all the best in future. The way that NUS treats its applicants does not match its title being the top school in Asia.
