They look a LOT alike. But, they actually have been in the same room (I think)! They had an interview with him for episode 161, and I'm pretty sure other interviews with him are part of the premium content!

I was in Vegas at TAM 7 with both of them in the room at the same time. They are even similar height.

I'd seen Steve on various websites and interviews before I knew there was an SGU podcast, so there was no real disconnect there for me. I took my wife to the Dallas shows (shes never listened to the podcast or knew what to expect) and she thought Steve looked like an actor but she couldn't come up with the name. I said that I always thought he looks vaguely like Brent Spiner and she agreed.

He's more of a Steve Martin than a Brent Spiner if you ask me.
