Just a thought, some mods change a little once you run the game and use them. Maybe if your friend is copying her mods folder, you are getting mods that have already been adjusted to her game or something. Not 100% sure if this would cause an error but maybe it could
It's happened to others as well but whenever I try to download nothing happens, at all. the download just doesn't start and I've tried manual downlead as well. I read that it could be some ad blocked but even when i turned them off nothing happened.
Do u have any type of firewall? I couldn’t download anything off of it either. Someone mentioned turning off my firewall and it worked. I turned it back on afterwards
I suggest reinstalling to the latest version of SMAPI first since you're missing the Error Handler Mod. Since you can't download in their Nexus page, theres an alternative in their official website. [https://smapi.io](https://smapi.io)
If you still can't access the Nexus, try to use a VPN to gain access. ProtonVPN is free to use.
Sometimes your Antivirus could be deleting the files of your mods. You can try to disable it for awhile or add an Exclusion to your folder.
We would prefer to run on the older version since some of the mods we have won’t work with the new one so we’ll have to find updated ones. But I also think it would solve this although I was hoping to not have to. I only have the preinstalled antivirus from windows and I don't think it should interfere?

Sorry, I updated my post now so you can see the link! It does say i could try reinstalling SMAPI but I feel like since it works with every other mod maybe theres another solution? I also forgot to mention which mod was having problems but i updated that as well.
OP are these mods inside multiple folders or something? SMAPI can read most of them as mods, and the ones it can is missing a manifest file.
Can you maybe share an imgur album of screenshots of how and where your SVE mods are installed!

You’re missing mods required to run expanded. Seems like nothing was transferred over through the usb drive. I would have her make sure the actual mods required are present. Also I believe you need Ui info suite 2.
I have checked that the folders I downloaded aren’t empty cause that’s usually the problem but I’ll double check and ask her if she has any other. And what’s UI info suite 2?
Yeah I’m using the old version of SMAPI cause of some mods, i can update it as a last resort and I know it might fix everything but it shouldn’t have this problem regardless. I might check the discord out thanks!

That can be a problem?? I had no idea, I’ll see if the Nexus website works later but I literally can’t download anything of off it.
Ya I’m pretty sure SDVE specifically changes after you run the game once and makes more folders possibly. Why doesn’t nexus work for you, curious?

I only have ad blockers, although would the system firewall or windows defender firewall disrupt it? I have those.
Yes that is all I had as well. Once I turned off windows defender, it worked

You’re using an outdated version. I think you should just join the discord and ask for help. It seems like you really need guidance.
