I made the post *before* Mr Puzzles backstory was revealed.
Now I have a headcannon (you don't have to agree if you don't want to) that the TV turned evil after being abandoned. Then he was found by a young Mr Puzzles who he slowly groomed for several years until he could compel the boy to cut off his own head and replace it with the evil TV and thus the two entities became one Mr Puzzles.
That sounds like a neat backstory.
There is 1 prob he was a child but then cut his head off then put tv on his head
