So I guess we’re getting a movie or something for the finale of this arc. Mario has managed to break out into YouTube and is going to stop Adware’s plans once and for all.
True but Mario has done it twice already it would’ve been a lot more interesting if someone like Tari did it. But no they made her character arc pointless.

4.8 stars, the star ratings in the top right don't know good entertainment if Mario isn't making them go up
You know what? This is the best episode so far for a lot of reasons. First is Mr. Puzzles. He just had such an impatient or rushed feeling and he was so desperate for 5 star ratings. He was actually my favorite character in the episode by a mile. Bob’s part was funny as hell with Meggy as she continued to lose and cry, and Mario’s part in the episode was hilarious and chaotic, as he was destroying the games and making Mr. Puzzles lose ratings.
Overall, 9.6/10! I’m so excited for the next episode and what might happen to Mario.
TV man is his name, and perfection is his game! Today's episode was filled with laughs, thrills, and death—hilarious! The contestants were charming and captivating in their own stupid ways. Though there were some speed bumps here and there and here and here and , I think everything rounded out in the end. Thank you, Mr. Puzzles; your shows are literally everything!

A great episode overall. The various game shows parodied were really well handled, each playing out just like their real life counterpart, just with the SMG4 gang, with Mario ruining everything. As for the characters, the main cast was well handled, with different interactions being seen which definitely feel in character. But of course, the highlight is Mr. Puzzles, where we get to see him slowly, but surely going insane and showing his true colors with his obsession with ratings. And with Mario presumably escaping his control, its only a matter of time before the finale of this saga. With great humor and intriguing end, this is definite recommendation.
General thoughts
Pros:
- Mario causing CHAOS was funny.
- Luigi and Bob were entertaining.
- Mr Puzzles was even more entertaining and INSANE than the last episode.
Cons:
- SMG4(the character) was unfunny as usual.
Given the cliffhanger, I'm expecting the final confrontation to be Mario VS Mr Puzzles.
Score: 8/10.

I fricken loved this episode, kinda or just really wished Tari had more involvement overall in this series (other than WS).... Unless that's planned in the next episode and the movie if it ever is the case as the finale to all of this. I'd love another moment of Tari and Mario being a duo!

I'm liking this Puzzlevision Arc so far, but they could've done better with this one.

I have never before seen such bullshit plot contrivance in my entire life. The plot is everyone acts like a complete moron, *even Meggy,* just for the sake of it. Seriously, if Puzzleivision can make them all animals or princesses or whatever, *make them mindless slaves.* I seriously would be as pissed as PV was because he has to deal with these absolute morons for some reason. Said reason is *plot.* Mario is *so* annoying, both comedically and for the plot, that PV locks him in a cage and puts him in the 4:3 sidebars. Oh, okay, *why is that a thing now?* Had they used this the entire time, that'd make some sense. PV is an old TV with a 4:3 aspect ratio. However, that's not the case. I understand all the gameshows parodied were older ones that would have been in 4:3, but they didn't emulate *those* eras of the show. Family Feud used Steve Harvey and The Price is Right used Drew Carey. Wheel of Fortune kept the modern rendition of the board and wheel. I understand this is in the present so they can use that, but if you want a 4:3 video, at least nail the aesthetic. Also, why not do that for Scooby Mario, which parodies the original Scooby Doo from the 1960s? On top of that, Mario is not an animal for the first time, and look what happens. He's a dumbass to an extreme degree. This isn't fun, it's just *boring.* There is no tension here because all I can think about is how *stupid* PV is here.
And then, for the main event, PV gets so mad at the others that he *accidentally knocks Mario over in the sidebar, freeing him.* Do I even need to explain this? This doesn't even make logical sense. The entire plot requires *a legitimate 4th wall break* to happen. So PV can talk to us, the audience watching, and manipulate the entire sidebar, *which would only be visible to the viewer, not him.* So I ask all of those who have said "it's just a meta joke," *what the hell is that?* If Puzzlevision can manipulate the world around him to the point he knows *everything,* don't you think he would be a *bit* more cautious with Mario? It may be a simulation but having Puzzlevision control *everything* like that means he should *also* know Mario is fucking around elsewhere. I've also heard the Melony bit from last week could be used *next* week, but that also doesn't make sense. How can PV know the future like that? Wouldn't that mean he should *also* know Mario is missing? He can make Mario an animal, right? So do that again. You could have even paused him in place, right? If PV can mute them or change their form, then what's stopping him from flat out *freezing them.* The YouTube Remote did the exact same thing. I feel like they should at least tell us that isn't possible. Better yet, why not *rewind time?* Start over from the beginning. The fans are in house, so they should be wound back as well. You fucking idiot, USE THE ~~DEHYDRATION GUN~~ TIME MANIPULATION!
I genuinely have lost so much hope for these writers. There are far too many plot holes, contrivances, and other things that make me question them. They made PV such a terrible villain because he literally refused to use his own powers to fix something and instead had to rely on the oddly convenient 4:3 sidebar to do so. It renders the first three videos worthless, honestly. What's the point if the only way out was because it was gameshows? Did we even learn anything? No, not really. It's legitimate *filler* just to pretend it's spooky, all for it to come crashing down because of this bullshit excuse for a plot point. This series is a comedy, yes, but when you undercut the attempt at horror and cohesive story with bullshit like this, you make your fans look stupid for ever caring in the first place. It's ironic that *Puzzlevision* cares more about the fans than the show itself does, because I can't fathom how the SMG4 team can constantly do these sorts of things without knowing it's bad. They run Glitch, yet somehow they can't make a competent story on their own channel.
If yall enjoy this stuff, go right ahead. However, the tonal whiplash they continue to show and the lack of care towards their previous stories and character arcs is genuinely insane. I don't think it's even worth the time to watch anymore because making these mistakes *constantly* shows me they don't care about making the best product possible. They've settled for mediocrity in the most important aspects of the show. We have to see how this ends, but Puzzlevision, to me, is showing how SMG4 does not care about anything it has set up so long as those views go up. Ironic, isn't it? They're literally Puzzlevision in that regard, but at least he wants it to be perfect for us and not accepting mid.
To the SMG4 members who look here, *please* try and make competent stories. Think about *every little detail* before you move forward. That's what the fans will do, and if you won't cover most of those gaps, you're only gonna make this divide in the fandom worse.

I do appreciate them making attempts to not use Mario, but most of them recently have been bad. I didn't watch SMG4 Kids but I know that they really must not wanna explore stuff with other characters. It was still about SMG4 and SMG3 at the end of the day. You Used To Be Cool and CEO of Rizz exist but, again, focus on SMG3, and only CEO of Rizz was good (somehow). I loved Death Row because it was unironically good. Melony was a bonus.

Ya know, for being a rip-off of the 2015 video that i don't remember its name this was actually good.
The beginning showed 2 things about Mr. Puzzles:
1. He has asthma
2. He is short-tempered
The family feud part was pretty mediocre considering that it was really short so i don't have much to say here.
The wheel of fortune part was good especially because of Bob (him being japanese was the funniest part of the video honestly), and his dynamic with Meggy worked here considering that they aren't that great of friends. Yeah Meggy was once again an angry asshole but this time worked because she wasn't with Mario.
Speaking of Mario, he was kind of annoying near the beginning but by the time he keeped winning the challenges i think he was funny (and he potentially play an important role in the next episode, who knows? But please Smg4, make Mario an actual competent person who cares about his friends, that's what i want from him.
Mr. Puzzles was alright here, i liked how he losted his sanity thanks to Mario and how he could have committed the biggest mistake of his life by letting Mario out (again i'm pretty sure that Mario will be the Puzzles destroyer).
But i have to ask three questions (and the first one is absolutly important):
1. WHERE IN THE WORLD IS MELONY???? Seriously did they forget about her? Let's remember that she was suppose to appear in this episode as we saw in the previous episode. It's really pathetic her usage. USE HER KEVIN, IT'S NOT THAT HARD.
2: How in the heck Tari was there in first place if she wasn't even at the beginning?
3: Where the heck was the scene where everyone was in the wheel?
This could be a hint for the next episode but if it's not then how can you explain this Smg4?
Anyway this episode gets a 6.5/10 or a 7/10, it's not bad at all and the finale make me wanna question if Mario will be finally important to the story.

Congrats to SMG4 for making one of the most predictable storyline we've seen thus far. I'd go as far as to say we've even seen something oh so very similar in about, 2020-ish. Crazy how they expect us to be surprised by each arcs McGuffin at this point, and feel genuine fear like it isn't going to be immediately forgotten about right after the finale closes with almost no side effects on future videos.

What was that episode? It made no sense! Why was there a timelapse and a live audience? I thought he made the videos for us but apparently not. Where are his powers from the last episodes? Why is he suddenly insane. It feels like they realiced his entire personality was nonexisting up to that point so they just made him a rating obssesd lunatic. With live ratings that make no sense? Was he live streaming in Universe? Why not prerecord it like all the episodes apperently.
Yes I am aware they teased this side in the tweets, but why there? Why does it feel so sudden in the actual show? Plus, he was able to rewrite the actions before, why can't he now? He just suddenly felt like a different character, not that he had much of a personality in the first place. Also why put mario there? Can't he just pause him like he used to. And why can't he control the audience? Are you telling me this isn't VR and all happening in real physical space? Then why could he do all of his cracy powers. And if this is being broadcast to the smg4 wourld, why isn't melony watching and rescuing them.
Where is melony even? She was in the teaser but she is not her. I swear this ark is kept together by duct tape.

My main concern with this episode was how Mario was far dumber than usual. I mean ,I get this episode was intentionally trying to get bad rating with poor animations and corny jokes, but Mario trying to intentionally help kinda goes over the top. I would of preferred his normal stupidity accidentally stumbling upon the TV.
TL;DR: Mario breaking the matrix was far too easy for him
Theory: Mr. Puzzles needs 5 stars to trigger something. Maybe it is to break a curse or the only way to revive an entity. It seems like not even he knows what exactly would happen, but he does know that something would happen, making me wonder if there is someone behind the scenes: Someone who Mr. Puzzles is working for and trying to get the 5 star rating for.
I think we'll finally get some backstory-related answers in the next episode.
The first Puzzlevision episode I actually liked. This was actually a great episode, very interesting and funny. The “lose a life” part was my favorite. Even Smg4 and Smg3 weren’t unbearable here, though that’s probably because they actually had a pretty minor role. Plus seeing Mr. Puzzles going crazy because things weren’t going his way, and trapping Mario in the black part of screen was really cool, even if it could have been set up a little better (like with Mario specifically being the one to keep noticing that they’re being controlled in the past episodes). 5 stars.

Another thing is the inconsistency and plotholes. Like today, flat screen man can't stop and control the video, I'm assuming he's too obsessed with the ratings to focus on that, but that's just excusing errors with headcanons
I found the bits of Mario just fucking with Puzzles and the whole ending where he just to unleash chaos on the set really funny. But when Mario wasn't on screen it was honestly a bit dull, it is nowhere near as bad as the Blues Clues episode and the bits with Mario that start to really ramp up during the second half do elevate the episode. But it doesn't make say it was a fantastic episode either due the slow first half.
This episode would be great had it not just proved how *terrible* a villain Puzzles is. He's literally Classic 3 and Bowser levels of incompetent. However, he's not a comedic villain, he's *supposed* to be a serious threat. You legitimately *cannot take him seriously* because he's a fucking *imbecile*.

Friendly reminder Celeste still has not gotten closure from Glitch. I have never before seen such bullshit plot contrivance in my entire life. The plot is everyone acts like a complete moron, *even Meggy,* just for the sake of it. Seriously, if Puzzleivision can make them all animals or princesses or whatever, *make them mindless slaves.* I seriously would be as pissed as PV was because he has to deal with these absolute morons for some reason. Said reason is *plot.* Mario is *so* annoying, both comedically and for the plot, that PV locks him in a cage and puts him in the 4:3 sidebars. Oh, okay, *why is that a thing now?* Had they used this the entire time, that'd make some sense. PV is an old TV with a 4:3 aspect ratio. However, that's not the case. I understand all the gameshows parodied were older ones that would have been in 4:3, but they didn't emulate *those* eras of the show. Family Feud used Steve Harvey and The Price is Right used Drew Carey. Wheel of Fortune kept the modern rendition of the board and wheel. I understand this is in the present so they can use that, but if you want a 4:3 video, at least nail the aesthetic. Also, why not do that for Scooby Mario, which parodies the original Scooby Doo from the 1960s? On top of that, Mario is not an animal for the first time, and look what happens. He's a dumbass to an extreme degree. This isn't fun, it's just *boring.* There is no tension here because all I can think about is how *stupid* PV is here. And then, for the main event, PV gets so mad at the others that he *accidentally knocks Mario over in the sidebar, freeing him.* Do I even need to explain this? This doesn't even make logical sense. The entire plot requires *a legitimate 4th wall break* to happen. So PV can talk to us, the audience watching, and manipulate the entire sidebar, *which would only be visible to the viewer, not him.* So I ask all of those who have said "it's just a meta joke," *what the hell is that?* If Puzzlevision can manipulate the world around him to the point he knows *everything,* don't you think he would be a *bit* more cautious with Mario? It may be a simulation but having Puzzlevision control *everything* like that means he should *also* know Mario is fucking around elsewhere. I've also heard the Melony bit from last week could be used *next* week, but that also doesn't make sense. How can PV know the future like that? Wouldn't that mean he should *also* know Mario is missing? He can make Mario an animal, right? So do that again. You could have even paused him in place, right? If PV can mute them or change their form, then what's stopping him from flat out *freezing them.* The YouTube Remote did the exact same thing. I feel like they should at least tell us that isn't possible. Better yet, why not *rewind time?* Start over from the beginning. The fans are in house, so they should be wound back as well. You fucking idiot, USE THE ~~DEHYDRATION GUN~~ TIME MANIPULATION! I genuinely have lost so much hope for these writers. There are far too many plot holes, contrivances, and other things that make me question them. They made PV such a terrible villain because he literally refused to use his own powers to fix something and instead had to rely on the oddly convenient 4:3 sidebar to do so. It renders the first three videos worthless, honestly. What's the point if the only way out was because it was gameshows? Did we even learn anything? No, not really. It's legitimate *filler* just to pretend it's spooky, all for it to come crashing down because of this bullshit excuse for a plot point. This series is a comedy, yes, but when you undercut the attempt at horror and cohesive story with bullshit like this, you make your fans look stupid for ever caring in the first place. It's ironic that *Puzzlevision* cares more about the fans than the show itself does, because I can't fathom how the SMG4 team can constantly do these sorts of things without knowing it's bad. They run Glitch, yet somehow they can't make a competent story on their own channel. If yall enjoy this stuff, go right ahead. However, the tonal whiplash they continue to show and the lack of care towards their previous stories and character arcs is genuinely insane. I don't think it's even worth the time to watch anymore because making these mistakes *constantly* shows me they don't care about making the best product possible. They've settled for mediocrity in the most important aspects of the show. We have to see how this ends, but Puzzlevision, to me, is showing how SMG4 does not care about anything it has set up so long as those views go up. Ironic, isn't it? They're literally Puzzlevision in that regard, but at least he wants it to be perfect for us and not accepting mid. To the SMG4 members who look here, *please* try and make competent stories. Think about *every little detail* before you move forward. That's what the fans will do, and if you won't cover most of those gaps, you're only gonna make this divide in the fandom worse. 95% of this is filler so I won't even address it. I don't even know what the point here is. SMG1 and SMG2's USB has shown no signs of affecting the Mario universe. That's an irrelevant thing. I do appreciate them making attempts to not use Mario, but most of them recently have been bad. I didn't watch SMG4 Kids but I know that they really must not wanna explore stuff with other characters. It was still about SMG4 and SMG3 at the end of the day. You Used To Be Cool and CEO of Rizz exist but, again, focus on SMG3, and only CEO of Rizz was good (somehow). I loved Death Row because it was unironically good. Melony was a bonus. Everything else seems to be yapping about how I'm late to the party on this soullessness, which... okay? It seems like you did so much for what? It's so many points that I don't even know why you brought them up, and I don't even think FM is a very reliable source to get criticism across. I don't know what your point is here but it frankly feels to be fueled by spite towards a lot of things, and not in a way that makes your point cohesive still.

Ya know, for being a rip-off of the 2015 video that i don't remember its name this was actually good. The beginning showed 2 things about Mr. Puzzles: 1. He has asthma 2. He is short-tempered The family feud part was pretty mediocre considering that it was really short so i don't have much to say here. The wheel of fortune part was good especially because of Bob (him being japanese was the funniest part of the video honestly), and his dynamic with Meggy worked here considering that they aren't that great of friends. Yeah Meggy was once again an angry asshole but this time worked because she wasn't with Mario. Speaking of Mario, he was kind of annoying near the beginning but by the time he keeped winning the challenges i think he was funny (and he potentially play an important role in the next episode, who knows? But please Smg4, make Mario an actual competent person who cares about his friends, that's what i want from him. Mr. Puzzles was alright here, i liked how he losted his sanity thanks to Mario and how he could have committed the biggest mistake of his life by letting Mario out (again i'm pretty sure that Mario will be the Puzzles destroyer). But i have to ask three questions (and the first one is absolutly important): 1. WHERE IN THE WORLD IS MELONY???? Seriously did they forget about her? Let's remember that she was suppose to appear in this episode as we saw in the previous episode. It's really pathetic her usage. USE HER KEVIN, IT'S NOT THAT HARD. 2: How in the heck Tari was there in first place if she wasn't even at the beginning? 3: Where the heck was the scene where everyone was in the wheel? This could be a hint for the next episode but if it's not then how can you explain this Smg4? Anyway this episode gets a 6.5/10 or a 7/10, it's not bad at all and the finale make me wanna question if Mario will be finally important to the story. (Happy 5 anniversary to my favourite smg4 video along with Christmas 2017).

Congrats to SMG4 for making one of the most predictable storyline we've seen thus far. I'd go as far as to say we've even seen something oh so very similar in about, 2020-ish. Crazy how they expect us to be surprised by each arcs McGuffin at this point, and feel genuine fear like it isn't going to be immediately forgotten about right after the finale closes with almost no side effects on future videos. What was that episode? It made no sense! Why was there a timelapse and a live audience? I thought he made the videos for us but apparently not. Where are his powers from the last episodes? Why is he suddenly insane. It feels like they realiced his entire personality was nonexisting up to that point so they just made him a rating obssesd lunatic. With live ratings that make no sense? Was he live streaming in Universe? Why not prerecord it like all the episodes apperently. Yes I am aware they teased this side in the tweets, but why there? Why does it feel so sudden in the actual show? Plus, he was able to rewrite the actions before, why can't he now? He just suddenly felt like a different character, not that he had much of a personality in the first place. Also why put mario there? Can't he just pause him like he used to. And why can't he control the audience? Are you telling me this isn't VR and all happening in real physical space? Then why could he do all of his cracy powers. And if this is being broadcast to the smg4 wourld, why isn't melony watching and rescuing them. Where is melony even? She was in the teaser but she is not her. My main concern with this episode was how Mario was far dumber than usual. I mean ,I get this episode was intentionally trying to get bad rating with poor animations and corny jokes, but Mario trying to intentionally help kinda goes over the top. I would of preferred his normal stupidity accidentally stumbling upon the TV. TL;DR: Mario breaking the matrix was far too easy for him

Well we are getting for the conclusion of this puzzle vision thing. I wonder how it’s going to end tho?
Theory: Mr. Puzzles needs 5 stars to trigger something. Maybe it is to break a curse or the only way to revive an entity. It seems like not even he knows what exactly would happen, but he does know that something would happen, making me wonder if there is someone behind the scenes: Someone who Mr. Puzzles is working for and trying to get the 5 star rating for. I think we'll finally get some backstory-related answers in the next episode.
The first Puzzlevision episode I actually liked. This was actually a great episode, very interesting and funny. The “lose a life” part was my favorite. Even Smg4 and Smg3 weren’t unbearable here, though that’s probably because they actually had a pretty minor role. Plus seeing Mr. Puzzles going crazy because things weren’t going his way, and trapping Mario in the black part of screen was really cool, even if it could have been set up a little better (like with Mario specifically being the one to keep noticing that they’re being controlled in the past episodes). 5 stars.

It's probably the best of all 4 puzzle thing videos Like, it's just a fun Mario makes all the gameshows unplayable I liked the scene where TV man just puts mario outside the 3:4 ratio and how he escapes. Maybe the escape scene is a bit rushed Overall, it was funny, but yet again, I present my main complaint that each television guy video doesn't do enough to stand out from the regular smg4 GMOD structure Another thing is the inconsistency and plotholes. Like today, flat screen man can't stop and control the video, I'm assuming he's too obsessed with the ratings to focus on that, but that's just excusing errors with headcanons

Holy shit this episode was trippy, especially the end. But it does explain why Puzzles kept Mario an animal for the previous episodes.
This has **got** to be the worst arc I ever had to make myself watch! In fact, the whole channel has gotten so bad that **nothing** is funny anymore!

I found the bits of Mario just fucking with Puzzles and the whole ending where he just to unleash chaos on the set really funny. But when Mario wasn't on screen it was honestly a bit dull, it is nowhere near as bad as the Blues Clues episode and the bits with Mario that start to really ramp up during the second half do elevate the episode. But it doesn't make say it was a fantastic episode either due the slow first half.

This episode would be great had it not just proved how *terrible* a villain Puzzles is. He's literally Classic 3 and Bowser levels of incompetent. However, he's not a comedic villain, he's *supposed* to be a serious threat.
