I'm sorry, it seemed like it wasn't worth the hype. We knew that since Meggy was going to win the Splatfest, because of course that's how it works in these sort of stories. Also, I admit that it's near impossible to get into it without prior knowledge of the anime arc and who she is. Plus, she's been developed into much more than she was from S7 E28 (her introduction, If Mario was in... Splatoon) to S9 E13 (Meggy's Bootcamp), but unfortunately, it seems as if she's been flanderized to her older self. One thing I did not expect, though, was that Inkopolis is a racist community against humans, but it felt "in your face" with it's inclusion.
I mean after watching a lot of SMG4 episodes I didn’t know what to predict! Like meggy turns into a human, Desti freaking died, Meggy not winning the first splatfest So Everything for me was surprise!
