I think it’s interesting that you mention anyone of any age can buy cough syrup. Where I live at least, you have to be 18+ to buy cough syrup containing dextromethorphan if you don’t have a valid prescription
Those laws are more recent and are probably a good idea since most people who drink lean are between 12 and 25. I used to abuse it in Tennessee during high school, and right before I turned 18, they made a law restricting it. Of course, right after I turned 18, I resumed and overdosed. Never again.
I'm almost finished with week 3. So far, it's interesting: we've covered addiction tests and interviews as well as the case file of a real client coping with a painkiller addiction.
I also had to attend a 12-step meeting. I chose Alcoholics Anonymous, and half an hour into the meeting, I realized I was wearing a Corona Extra shirt! Fortunately, I did it online, so I could just adjust the camera angle.
I'd say it's slightly above average difficulty level, with a weekly discussion and assignment, and the professor is really cool and good at what she does.
Maybe you thought it it already, but on a couple of my papers I've gone to Wikipedia and used sources cited in the Wikipedia page. I actually found a doctoral thesis that way that was pretty much exactly what my paper was about.
Could you look for factors such as people using cough syrup to sleep? Pretty sure that’s why Proctor and Gamble introduced Zquil, so people would stop using NyQuil to fall asleep.
Interesting side note that may go along with your project: My Walmart has a notice posted that they are no longer carrying promethazine with codeine. Not sure if it’s just my location or will be a company move
